Concept Equipment

It has been a pleasure working with Concept Equipment. We have bought 3 PTAC units from them and each experience has been a pleasure. The after sales support has been excellent. They have gone out of there way to answer questions and offered replacement of units or researched.

I moved into a building managed by Nordblom, and they have strict policies about A/C installers. Concept Equipment was listed as an approved vendor. Now I see why. They know what they're doing, and they do it exceedingly well.

At first I thought I'd save money by purchasing air conditioner units from Amazon, but the number of reviews about units broken in the mail didn't make me confident that the discount would be so worthwhile. I could have gone to a big box store, but with crazy heat & humidity, that didn't seem worth the schlep.

So I called Concept. Brad was very knowledgeable about the building I was moving into, and he gave me well-reasoned suggestions about BTU size & brands. He also had an excellent sense of humor, which helped put me at ease, as the total extent of my knowledge of A/C units is based on experiences 2 decades ago in Florida.

Zach and Ray, the friendly installers, came right on time. The 2 units were up and running in about 5 minutes, with proper holes drilled for frame screws, and weather-stripping insulation in place. Ray went over the operation of each unit thoroughly & patiently--he demonstrated all the digital functions, and also how to clean the filters.

I'd never seen window air conditioners properly installed before, and wow, am I ever impressed! So much better looking than any installation I or my friends or my friends' fathers have done. And Brad was absolutely right about the size of the units. Now that I'm moved in, they are cooling the rooms beautifully.

It sure pays to pay for quality service. I'm so glad I saved myself lots of aggravation and went with Concept.

I was delighted with Concept. Two courteous guys arrived on time (actually early; having finished their prior job, they called to see whether they could come over sooner than planned) and worked efficiently, patiently answering my questions, sealing around the window to my precise (and probably annoying) specifications, and taking time to explain how our new air conditioner works. On the work order, instead of pages of legalese, I found a simple statement to sign. Jerry, the owner, had written out my requests for his workers. Nothing was left to chance. A-one.

We had three, cheap window units that were noisy, leaked water everywhere, and we just had the toughest time installing these every year. It was pure Mickey Mouse in our house. We called Concept to replace these three units. They could have not been nicer. We now have three new Friedrich Chills in our house! They are awesome. And Concept installed them for us, so it's a beautiful thing! Thank you Concept AC...could not be happier.

Thought I might need a new AC, thinking my 5 yr old model had failed. Gerry told me what to check and how to do it. Fixed with no need for a service call or new AC. EXTREMELY helpful.

This is the second time I have used Concept Equipment's services. Both times their products and their service have been exemplary. They have the products I need and the technicians to do the installations in what it not always an easy situation. I cannot strongly enough recommend Concept Equipment for a difficult installation and they always have the right air conditioner for the job and all at reasonable prices. If you have casement windows or odd size requirements, do yourself a favor a give them a call.

Did a great job,but $840.dollars for two hours work to R and R a wall unit that cost $660.is really ridiculous, that is $210. per man, per hour.I could have done better, shame on me for not asking up front. I will never never use them again.They came highly recommended by a friend in the A/C business,he is shocked.

Because Murphy has a sick sense of humor, the wall air conditioner in my rental unit went out in on the first day of our lovely July heat wave. Naturally, right? If it had just been for me, I would have dealt with it until the wave broke. But, it wasn't for me. So, I started making calls.

First, I called 5 or 6 places for an estimate on a repair. No one called me back. I finally got someone to listen to the problem tell me that the unit couldn't be fixed. (This was not surprising to me, especially after I discovered that the unit had been installed in 1981.) So, I started calling places for a replacement. And leaving messages. And not getting a response. Finally, I found the Yelp reviews for Concept Equipment. I called, and a person answered. Seriously! That was amazing! More amazing, they took a message - and they ACTUALLY CALLED ME BACK within a couple of hours. They told me what information they needed to give me a quote. I got the information, they gave me an immediate estimate and said they could install the unit in three days. The only other place that talked to me was quoting the middle of August. I couldn't believe it. The unit price was consistent with what I'd expected after looking to buy a new one online, and installation was completely reasonable. Even better, I saved $35 with their Yelp deal.

They took the order over the phone, let me pay over the phone, and accepted my Coupon via email. Since I don't live nearby anymore, this was especially appreciated. They're also open Saturdays, which is nice. I sincerely hope that I don't need to replace my A/C again anytime soon, but if I have any other issues, I know who to call.

I called them for a quote, they called back promptly.

Gave me a price, installed it on time with great comunication.

All went well.

Other Friedrich dealers never even called back.
