Be aware booking with this motel, especially Booking.com. They charge you full price and reduce housekeeping services upon arrival. If you don't accept it, this motel/booking.com will not refund you (they automatically charge at least 1-night). Since most hotels are occupied/booked in advance, they know you have no other choice to somewhere else.
BTW, there bugs inside the room (outside as well). Cobwebs are visible outside the building (FYI, they are not Halloween decorations). They expect you to reuse the towels for multiple days, claiming for environmental, don't believe it. It's just a way for them to skimp/reduce services. When you contact the front desk, they still won't come to clean the room.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 8, 2023
Stayed here during our trip to Sequoia and Kings Canyon NP. Lodging was all booked inside the park when booking months ago. This is conveniently located to the park's entrance which may be one of the few positive things to our experience. We thought this "hotel chain" was overpriced for what seemed more like a glorified motel room. We expected more for the price we paid (over $300/night). Our room was adequate to rest our heads each night but walls were a little dirty, cobwebs can be seen on stairwells and around the grounds, and despite breakfast being complimentary scrambled eggs tasted watered down and bacon practically see thru. I don't understand how a hotel like this that brings in this amount of money each day can have so many shortcuts of upkeep, maintenance, and mediocre quality of food. We're not expecting The Ritz quality but i was thinking along the lines of at least Hampton Inn standard.
The good thing is the kids enjoyed the outdoor pool (what kid doesn't) and looked efficiently maintained but maybe adding a privacy cover around the fencing surrounding the pool can prevent traffic from the road looking in? Hubby and I enjoyed playing a little bit of cornhole located near the pool while the kids swam. We were happy that there was a mini fridge to store our waters and a microwave which we never got to use. The staff we encountered seemed friendly enough.
Overall, this was close to the NP entrance. There are some restaurants and shops nearby to check out while staying in town. You can maybe check out other accommodations in the area but this appeared to be the only "chain hotel" in town and a bit overpriced.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mihael H.Islington, London, United Kingdom9752150Jan 5, 2023

Cleanliness: 3/5
Service: 3/5
Comfort: 3/5
Noise: 4/5
Overall: Mediocre service and they need to really focus on the details and cleaning.
The extended review...
Cleanliness: 3/5 - The linens and towels were clean. On the other hand I found a bunch of toe nail clippings on the floor so no vacuuming clearly...
Service: 3/5 - Front desk was ok but a tinge on the unfriendly side.
Comfort: 3/5 - After inspecting for bed bugs, which thankfully were not present, one of the beds needed to be replaced as it was falling apart. Also, the black out curtain was missing which appears was only in our room.
Noise: 4/5 - Thankfully not that noisy.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jun 21, 2020
Really great location for exploring the national parks! There's also a market and some restaurants nearby, but they are super expensive imo!
And super easy to find with plenty of free parking! The check in process was very easy and all staff we encountered during our stay were friendly and helpful!
We had a two queen beds room with kitchenette. Our room was mostly comfy and clean. Plenty of room. The beds were just a tad hard for my liking. The breakfast is limited, which we expected due to COVID-19. But it was still good...they had various individually wrapped pastries and they had oatmeal and hot water, coffee and juices.
I'm only giving 3 stars for a few reasons. The AC doesn't get cold enough so it was kinda hard to sleep. And we couldn't open the windows bc there were noisy guests running around outside until late into the night.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Sep 25, 2019
This might be the only national chain hotel in the area. After a long drive it was nice to check in, breathe the fresh air and plan an adventure. Though there was a detail or two I would have changed, I found this hotel adequate for an overnight stay. Kudos to the front desk for hooking me up with a toothbrush - first time ever in my travels where I forgot to bring mine.
Shower, bathroom, a/c, parking, check in/out was all terrific. The details that annoyed me were these: the linens on the beds were so crisp they actually interrupted sleep. That coupled with the extreme firm mattress made sleeping uncomfortable. I miss the days when I could sleep on anything and be perfectly happy...this was not that time. Both of us apologized for waking each other because if you had to adjust or turn over during the night it was like opening 43 bags of potato chips all at once. Imagine hearing that in the silence of the nighttime forest!
We laughed about it at brekkie, which by the way was decent though stay away from the donuts, they weren't fresh. Stick with the waffles and sausage and the coffee wasn't horrible (but I planned a quick trip to the local coffee joint, so the coffee here didn't faze me).
Gas, restaurants are all close by...and just a short 5 minute drive is the lovely Slick Rock area, do check it out.
Decent, thumbs up stay if you're planning a visit to see the Sequoias. I'd stay here again for sure.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - D. C.Fullerton, CA016Jun 29, 2022
The worst. I was quoted half the price I was charged online, so be really careful and check your bill closely. The AC began leaking the second day all over the floor. I was told that their maintenance man left for the day. It was 103 degrees the two days we spent there. I was told they would refund the pet fee. They did not, and claim to know nothing about it. I spoke to several people at front desk and on the phone. No help. If you toss in all of that with the fire alarm that emptied the hotel (due to malfunction) and that no one contacted us that it was ok to go back to our rooms, it was a fairly miserable stay.
$700 for half a room for two nights.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Asucena E.Poets Corner, Berkeley, CA0107Mar 7, 2021

Stayed here for 2 nights , I would definitely come back in the future . Only complaint would be the room was a little out dated and dirty ( shower and indoor jacuzzi )
But I brought my own cleaning supplies due to covid and having a new born with me so I cleaned the place myself. Overall good pricing for what you get , we got a jacuzzi tub , fireplace , microwave and sink . A couch area . Everything we needed and more for our anniversary weekend .Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 23, 2020
My wife and I stayed here over the weekend because our friends' wedding was near by like 2 miles from this hotel.
The room was beautiful with a fireplace, spa, microwave, fridge, bathroom, two sinks, closet, a couch, and two ottomans.
Cons:
Dirty floor
No hot water in the shower.
baby pacifier on the floor next to the bed.
Didn't know how to close the blinds.
Not enough toilet paper, had to go to the front desk to ask "embarrassing".Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
