Clyde Armory

This was my first time coming into this gun shop and from entery, I was highly impressed regarding the inventory and professionalism of the staff.
I would say I am not an expert, nor am I a novice regarding handguns. I went in there explaining what I would like and also asked their opinions on such. I walked out of there with a fantastic handgun with optical sites and would highly recommend this store!
I would think that some of the low ratings on yelp or Google come from people who think that they know it all or do not want any expert advice from professionals.
I will definitely be coming back here in the future!

The staff and owner at Cylde's are extremely knowledgeable, helpful and respectful.
Their inventory selection and pricing is excellent.

My last trip there was for a holster for a new pistol.
They went above and beyond to make sure it fit well with a red dot attached.

Best selection of black rifles in the Athens area. Good prices, staff have always been friendly and helpful. Seems like a lot of the negative reviews on here are political in nature and not really related to this actual business. Athens is an extremely liberal town so not surprising. If you are truly a gun enthusiasts and not just a yelp troll give this place a try!

Take your business elsewhere. This place is a rip off. They're overpriced and treat customers like they're stupid and don't know any better. We stopped in while traveling and ended up leaving empty handed after dealing with them. It also smells bad, like they might have a plumbing issue.

Arrogant, poor service, poor knowledge and WAY OVERPRICED. I'm a disabled vet and new to shopping for guns. Was searching for a self protection 9mm. I have difficulty in racking a simi-automatic and asked for help. Smith & Wesson builds a gun called an EZ. It is supposed to have a slide which is lighter in to pull back. This is what I asked for. Was handed a S&W Shield 2.0 and was told it had EZ. I bough it. They made a sucker of me. I came back the next day trying to exchange. "V" says, (not many names begin with V) "If you think you got bad advice that's on YOU. You should have checked it out first. All sales final."

Worked with a man named Brody there. Very unprofessional, and could give a rats ass. Maybe the owner should stick with lying about insurrectionists being great tour guides. What a Big Fat Liar. Who wants to have to deal with that. There is plenty other business's that bend over backwards for your business. This place just says bend over. Karma is a real thing and if you live by lying it will come back to haunt you. Overpriced and rude.

The only way I could go was to bring my 1 year old and 4 year old with me. Of course they were climbing all over everything the second I turned my head to glance at their awesome selection of just about every different firearm available. Not only did the staff not frown upon my little guys doing what they do best, they smiled, interacted, and occupied their attention long enough for me to shop. Paul and Luke were super helpful and I look forward to coming back for more. Thank you all for everything!!!

Awesome business! Operated by expert people who understand the business. Much more knowledgeable and professional than Franklins. Highly recommend !

Went to Clydes today for the first time. The staff was friendly and the gentleman Todd that assisted was very friendly and professional. Will definitely return for purchases in the future!
