So this is going to be the Quality Inn that makes me give up on the whole chain. The last straw. Screw the platinum status I'm going elsewhere - I've already started booking future reservations with other companies.

This is the first time in years I've shown up after check in time and they haven't had a room ready. We were told it would be a few minutes. It was over an hour sitting in the lobby with our little kids. And then they gave us a poolside room. This means it's less private and you get shrieking kids at the best of times.

But no, this wasn't the best of times, it was the weekend of the Taylor Swift concert and they had some of her top hits on a short loop at maximum volume. You probably couldn't hear it in most of the hotel but if you were near the pool it was BAD, just the lowest bass and the highest notes (and the kids shrieking) coming through. They were supposed to turn it off at 9pm and were late both nights - we had to call to get them to turn the music off.

The irony of course is the concert started at 6:30pm so all the Swifties had long since left, it was just some random families near the pool, but nobody really thought that one through.

The room otherwise was... not horrible? There was a rusty lamp but it looked like they were making some attempt to keep the place clean.

This one is on me, I should have done little more research before booking this hotel. We booked this last minute to go to bush gardens and only when by the pictures they show and some reviews but that was all
Lies ,when we first walked inside the smell was so bad( thank goodness I brought Lysol spray and wipes) I cleaned the entire room and made it smell decent. I brought my own sheets and all, but still the morning my daughter woke up crying like crazy cause she was so itchy .

The AC was so loud it was impossible to sleep, the bed so uncomfortable. We when down to the front desk to get some Napkins and they didn't even have that?? They guys asked us if we wanted tissue paper from the bathroom like is this a joke!!!!! The water pressure from the showe was a total joke and the drain did not work. I mean we made sure we were only there to sleep, we didn't even have one of those do not disturb door signs, the cleaning people ao loud out side like dang, the ice maker outside wow!!.

All I can say that this hotel it's not a family friendly place, and it should be advertised as such. Maybe if you are coming just to sleep with no kids this might be a place for you and even then I wouldn't recommend it

Original hotel "overbooked" and very Low on options, I made a huge mistake...this was a deal where the hotel was a surprise 1 of 3 locations for a set low price & I had limited options when our original Priceline reservation was "overbooked" and canceled on us 24 hours before our trip. I definitely was not expecting a sleezy motel with questionable activities going on in the outer room hallways....for double what we paid for the original booking! It went from $341 to $690 for LOWER quality!

Do NOT stay in this sleezy, dirty, shady motel! Not even if it's FREE! BY FAR the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, including evacuating Hurricane Irma & staying at ANYWHERE with an opening.....major Priceline fail. The LOW Quality Inn & Conference Center is located in a VERY BAD area, is dirty, the
rooms smell musty, they have wall/bathroom/ furniture damage (our tub actually has no drain stopper at all) and I wish we had more time to find something decent for this weekend.

Asked for extra pillows/blankets at check in & was told housekeeping would be notified. We called for extra pillows & blankets later that night and was told "We don't have extra" & nothing was ever sent. No hotel toiletries in any of the 3 rooms & not nearly enough towels for everyone, called - nothing ever showed up. The middle room, where the teenagers stayed, got chips & snacks everywhere - we called TWICE for garbage bags & maybe a vacuum and was told okay, only for nothing to arrive. Walked to the front desk & was told no.

So, will I be charged an extra cleaning fee? Probably - but only because the hotel refuses to send anything to the rooms & you have one teeny tiny garbage can per room! Also, the boys shower head had paper shoved under it to hold it to the wall - so embarrassing to the kids whose Moms trusted me to keep them for the weekend & ended up at a run down motel in such a bad area, they have huge security guards walking around the halls. "Free" Breakfast.....dry cereal and the worst coffee I have ever tasted!

This weekend went from fun & excited to stressful and embarrassing with this change in accommodations. A long-awaited weekend away, RUINED by Priceline, West Wing & the Quality Inn! Replies to emails sent on night 1 and 2? Coupons for 20% my next Priceline reservation & Choice Hotel "points" -
Obviously I will not risk using either of these companies again!

Shady AF hallway, before it is filled with drug dealers & homeless at night!

Wanted to surprise my kids to Howl-O-scream (Busch Gardens) and wanted to find a reasonable rates for a hotel since I was on a budget. I went and booked through Expedia.com., I needed FREE parking, FREE Wi-Fi, and FREE breakfast. I was able to book the Clarion Hotel. When we finally arrived and through GPS directions, we ended up at Quality Inn, I was a little confused. I sent my daughter into the front lobby and she came out and said, "We're in the right place." I parked and proceeded to the front lobby to check in. I was able to get my key cards, and was given a business size card, which the attendant advised me I needed to show when breakfast time arrived in the morning. Also he advised that Quality Inn took over and they are in the process of remodeling, so to pardon them for how the hotel was looking.

Room: I received two double beds, room area very spacious, 32 inch flat screen, microwave, and mini-fridge. I was surprised that the room had ai safe. The bathroom area, I kind of found it a little congested. The space between the toilet area and tub was a little tight. But overall, for the price it was good.

Breakfast: Hours:6:30-9:30. When you enter, there's an attendant and she asks for your room number and voucher card. As I see the eating area for a whole make-over. Everything is brand new, including furniture. As far as eating selection, you have waffle, bagels, English muffins, cereals, juices, milk, bacon, egg, sausage, and toast. Large screen television menu, two other screens with music and the daily news. The decor was somewhat retro/modern look, which I loved. The servers come and pick up plates as you are finishing.

Overall: It's a ten minute drive from Busch Gardens/Adventure Islands. They currently remodeling, would like to see the finish product if I decide to come next year. Conveniently close to eateries if your hungry, and a strip mall across the street for your needs. Would I recommend this hotel? Sure for the price, location, and excellent hospilitaty.

Bugs. I'm not one to complain but bugs. Not roaches but water bugs and the like. Upon arrival those poop flies that are black were in the sink. Like 10 of them. Sheets were clean but an exterminator is needed here. Lots of smokers outside. It's dated and the sidewalks are dirty. I'd find somewhere else to stay.

This place was dirty & the door was busted. We asked for another room and the staff was rude. They tried to say door was fixed, it was not. Manager avoided us. I asked for call back, and never got one. I canceled rest of my reservations and stayed elsewhere. Room had gnats and bugs and hair and grime in corners.

Good bang for the buck & I'd stay here again. However, learning has occurred with this hotel.

This used to be a Clarion, which is also in the Choice hotel family. Upon arrival the hotel has a wonderful lobby and ample parking. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is older & showing signs of wear. Once upon a time you can tell the hotel & the entire grounds must have been very pretty. Still pretty, but probably not like it used to be. There is a little construction and repairs going on in the pool/garden area, but it doesn't hinder pool use. The pool is nice & there is an additional children's pool, but no hot tub.

Rooms are ample. They are showing signs of wear with paint peeling, etc. however, they are clean and everything is in working order. Likewise the housekeeping staff is very friendly & helpful. There are ample ice/vending machines if needed as well.

Breakfast is offered and I found this entire process a little entertaining. Upon check-in they give you a card with the dates of your stay for every person staying in the room to show in the breakfast room...that's fine. In making conversation I asked why they did this and was informed because it's a buffet and non-guest try to come in to eat for free and people who stayed there before know how good it is and will try to just come in since they aren't happy with their hotel breakfast. Hearing all this I got very excited about the breakfast they offered and thought I must have hit the jackpot. Seriously, it was one of the skimpiest breakfast I've seen in a long time at any Choice hotel. Sure, they have the waffle machine, scrambled eggs made from powder & offered a meat (sausage or bacon) along with cereal, coffee, juice & tea. The breakfast is ample, but certainly not worth all the hoopla over and I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to try to sneak in. Furthermore, you can't take food out to your room or wherever or they will charge you for it...you have to eat there. Since you do get that card, you can come and go as you please as long as you have the card. However, on the last day of your stay when you enter...they take the card. So, if you get back up to the room and decide you want something else...you can't get back in since they took the card. I have no idea why they take it since it clearly has the dates on it. In any case, we were going to go back in since my son wanted more bacon and couldn't due to this (or pay)...so plan accordingly. The staff is nice and one gentlemen gave me hot sauce after asking for it...thank you!

One of the main reasons we stayed at this hotel was for the shuttle they offer to Busch Gardens. However, the shuttle times have recently changed from what I understand. There is NO shuttle to/from Busch Gardens from 9:45am - 12:00pm & 4:45 - 7:00pm (see pic). However, we requested a shuttle at 9:20am and were told it wasn't running and she pointed at the sign. Huh? We were there well before that time...so? She called, etc. and said it wasn't going. Booooo! Not good Quality Inn! So, my husband dropped us off since he wasn't going. Not exactly what we planned, but hey...it is what it is. Fast forward, time to call the shuttle to get back to the hotel. I was informed it would only take 10 minutes to come once we called. I called & got a mailbox. I called the hotel instead and they called to order it. 25 minutes went by. I called the hotel again, and was put on hold for 7 minutes, I texted my husband to go to the front desk to ask if they ordered the shuttle and I lost my connection. I called back and was put on hold again. The shuttle came (17 mins on hold), thank goodness since it was raining and I remained on hold...just wanted to see how long it would take them to "remember us"...it took 20 mins & 28 sec before someone came back to the phone. Not good Quality Inn! All this said, the driver was very nice and apologetic...apparently he was having an issue with his phone and not getting the messages. And it was the same person who was working in the breakfast room and gave me the hot sauce! Nice guy! But this still isn't an excuse for the long hold time Quality Inn.

In short, it's an ok/ample hotel and I would stay there again when visiting the local attractions. Learning has occurred...have a back-up plan if you stay there and plan to use the shuttle. Plan accordingly for breakfast.

I'd like to give a shout out to Trey who helped me immensely with all my questions upon check-in, etc.

Note for Thought: We stay in Choice hotels a fair amount and always wonder at what point the hotel chain decides to change the name or goes under a different scheme. Like this hotel, it was once a Clarion, probably higher priced and now a Quality Inn. Likewise, we've stayed in an EconoLodge which was once a Comfort Inn...and so on. We always wonder what doesn't exactly make the grade anymore or what has changed. Interesting stuff...

Very surprised at the quality of this hotel for the price.

We were visiting the area for Busch gardens. After searching forever I just clicked this hotel because I was tired. I wasn't expecting much as the price was very low.

Upon arriving I was greeted with a friendly face. Check in was painless and took no time. It has mini golf a nice big pool and a splash park pool for the kids. It's also 2 miles from Busch gardens. So sad we didn't get to stay longer because we had to get back to reality.

I wouldn't expect Hilton, but it's clean and does the purpose you need it to!

      So 5/5 for me!

      Thanks!!!

Scary hotel. Women at front desk have NO people skills/costumer service whatsoever. The area and people here are sketchy, and the room we had STUNK. Not to mention our door looked like it had been kicked in before!

Moral of the story--didn't feel safe or at home at this hotel. Take heed.
