The hub and I took the free intro class here on a Saturday morning with Garrett. Although I was hoping to be able to spar, the class was pretty darn good for punching and kicking a bag for an hour.

At 9:15 am Garrett is a really motivating instructor who kind of reminds me of a young Marv Albert with his "attack-attack-attack". It's just the right amount of cardio that I can endure at an hour not agreeing with my circadian rhythm.

The hub enjoyed the workout enough to buy into membership. As for me, for now i appreciate that there is the option to drop-in. The space is well-ventilated, it smells neutral, and each client is required to clean the flooring and the punching bag that they've used after each class.

Everyone was nice and even one of the other instructors who was attending class was very encouraging and hoped to see us again. There's a really great vibe and I am looking forward to continuing to add kickboxing to my workout regimen here.

Attended a free intro class and loved it. Expressed that I could not, and did not want to buy a membership as I already had one at another gym. Was asked to leave a positive yelp review if they gave me a 3 free intro offer after I'd taken the first one. Said sure. Didn't buy a membership but a 10 class pass. Couldn't use the pass as I left for Europe to volunteer. Emailed and asked for a refund. No reply. Friend reached out and was told "no, all sales are final."

      CKO = +$140+tax. Me = NOTHING.

Hope you got a good steak dinner out of my money. Thanks, no thanks.

First of all I want to say that I never write reviews but I feel like the service I have received here deserves a shout out. From the very start my experience has been great, everyone is very welcoming and supportive. I live a bit further south and went to this location due to a coworkers current membership with this place but know that I have made it here, I feel this place is well worth the slightly longer travel.

Beyond the amazing service (think txt reminders and support) I also find the workouts to be a blast! This is my 5th time going and while it is painful at the start it is also very amazingly fun and addictive. This is NOT a place for people who want to be very competitive or spar with others though so it might now be in line with everyone goals. But for me it has been perfect. Great job CKO!

This is a good gym and a good workout. You will work hard. The owners and trainers are good people and it can be a lot of fun.

      Why 3 stars?

It's not the gym for me.

The workout is terrible for the arthritic inflammation in my hands.

The trainers often motivate with "body talk". They talk about that beach body and how great it will be to show it off. I don't find it motivating, I find it offensive. Making your fitness about the perception of others and placing self value in your appearance is not an attitude I appreciate. I think it's harmful and I can't look past it.

Even with a long term contract, it's very expensive for what you get. You get to go to kickboxing classes. That's it. Your work schedule doesn't work with the class schedule? You're not working out there today.

I can't handle the number of people in an afternoon class.

My 3 stars isn't a hard judgement of the gym, people, or model, it's just my review of this gym for me. It's not for me. It might be awesome for you. Take a free class, but don't sign anything afterwards. Wait a day or two. All gyms give out free kool-aid, you just have to make sure you don't mind the taste.

Went to a trial class tonight to compare to ilovekickboxing in lynnwood. Omg a great place alot more bag work, more bags, don't have to share and a great instructor that isn't yelling at you to motivate you! The membership is alot cheaper too!! 79, compared to 129!!

Another 5 star review - this place IS amazing.

Prior to joining, I was going to yoga on a regular basis, and although I was feeling blissed out and limber, I wasn't getting fit. I did my best research for things that I might enjoy doing and would help drop the inches.

So after the first class, I was hooked. I was shaking from head-to-toe from the energy I just exerted, and wasn't sure how I was going to get out of my car, but I was hooked. To quote Legally Blonde, "Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don't shoot their husbands, they just don't." I will testify that I am a much happier person after working out! Ask my husband! ;-)

Almost a year later, I am still going strong. I've lost inches, gained muscle, and have a newfound appreciation for what my body can do. This place is a bit more expensive than your typical gym, but guess what, you'll actually GO here, instead of paying for a gym membership that you might use a few times before quitting.

The first class is free so, what's stopping you? Get your tootie in here.

This is going to be a hard review to write, not because it's going to be a bad one, but because I don't even know where to start with all the AMAZING things I have to say about CKO. I might even tear up a little bit. Seriously. I think I'm so tough now but I'm really a wuss.

Whatever the "Kool-Aid" is, I think I've drunk it. It just tastes so damn good! I've been a member for about two years now, and my addiction to this place just keeps getting stronger. I never thought I'd say this, but I LOVE MY GYM.

First of all, the base of CKO is of course the great kickboxing workouts. They're a high-intensity mix of serious cardio and some strength training (push ups, sit ups, squats, etc). Nothing feels better after a long, stressful day than to beat up a heavy bag and to get a good sweat on. It's a full body workout that will challenge you for sure, but they're accessible to almost anyone. If you can't quite do the whole workout the first time, you WILL be able to with consistent attendance and effort. All the instructors are knowledgeable, motivating, and inspiring, and will always encourage you to modify when you need to.

The community aspect and culture at CKO is absolutely incredible. The owners, Jessica and Garett, are a constant presence and very approachable. They are not in this business for the money, they are in it to change lives, which they do on a daily basis. They care about your health and well-being, and are absolute healthy lifestyle role models to me. My gym-mates are a wide assortment of incredible people from all walks of life. They are equally inspiring, and I'm proud to be associated with them.

Another thing that keeps me coming to CKO are the near-constant opportunities to participate in challenges or sign up for extra support to help me reach my fitness goals. The "ten-week challenge" I took this fall absolutely changed my life. They helped me change my nutrition, which was pretty awful, and with the extra boot camps and personal training sessions, I lost 12 inches and 8 pounds! I finally feel like I'm on the right track to being my best self. I also LOVE my weekly "mitt sessions" with Robert Rivera - if you want to feel like a true bad-ass, go one-on-one with Robert for an amazing workout and serious boxing skills improvement.

Another recent challenge was the "40 in 40" challenge (to be active for at least one hour every day for 40 days), and the "Cinco" (five classes in one day!), which I completed yesterday. I think I'm still on a little high from doing the Cinco - so proud of myself and the progress I've made since being at CKO - I was in "ok shape" when I signed up, but this is a whole new level for me. I can't wait to continue on my fitness journey with CKO and see what new barriers I can break.

Ok, off to get the tissues. Check out CKO! Change your life!

The bag will kick your muffins A$$! Say bye-bye to the muffin top, toe and lip.

Kickboxing has always been a mystery to me. Kicking, what? Boxing, what? Sounds like a lot of work for a princess like myself. I'm imagining lots of beefy and cheesy cakes boxing like Rocky, but I was passing by one day and spoke with an instructor. He told me to come in a few minutes before a class, try it out, the first week is free. The moves? They will show me the moves. I'm thinking, I suck at moves. Truth be told, I'm a bit of a bitch-cakes when it comes to working out. This yam works A-LOT. At the day job. Like hard labor, rice-patty work. So needless to say, pilates and yoga has been the usual move. And what is this Kick the Box, Kickboxing thing? I was intrigued enough to check it out. Here's a little break down.

-I rolled in a few minutes (15) before class. A good mix of ladies and gents all ages and shapes. (I happen to be shape round for now)
-Took about 5 to show me the "moves" which involve punches, kicks and strikes(Pow-pow).

The class started with warming up, a little pow-pow here, a little pow-pow there. Throw in some jumping jacks, lunges, pusher-uppers, more pow -pow and bouncing. Intensity progressively builds. You run a few laps, jump, more powing. Sprint. Rest. Repeat. Lots of different moves and drills. Music is upbeat and suddenly you're stretching and doing an abs-of- jersey-shore number. Done. You feel amazing and everyone looks like happy wet dogs.

It's been about a month of this shenanigan and it's surprisingly fun. It's sort of like a video game. I may actually lose my clam lip at some point.

So if you want to keep it tight and right ladies and gents, check it out. The muffin top is not the best part of the muffin.

P.S. - the gym is clean. brand new. beautiful. cool. Staff, outstanding.

      Gold Star for CKO! Hoot!

I have been at CKO for a little over a year and I can't say enough about them! All of the staff go out of their way to ensure you are comfortable. You can go at your own pace but they help you push yourself to become better and more confident. They have a way of motivating and supporting while helping you to be the best you. I have done the kickboxing, small group trainings and personal training and have benefited immensely from all of them. If you are looking for a fun way to push yourself and work out this is the place!
