My coworkers and I came here on a Tuesday after a group errand/outing. It wasn't busy at all but can see parking being an issue. It's so close to the beach!

They do a Tuesday special of 10% off all food menu items and $2.50 Mexican beer specials. So the price point was good!

I got the Mexicali and the Pescado and a Jarritos to drink. The Mexicali tasted almost like a regular beef taco but then I tasted the mashed potatoes! It's comfort wrapped in a tortilla.

The Pescado is also really delicious, I loved the strawberry added to it! They make for a bit of sweetness and tartness that complements the fried fish.

Unsure if there's folks in the back (I couldn't see), but our cashier brought out our food to our table so overall a nice eat in experience! I'll try different one the next time I come in.

Small taco shop located near the busy North Park intersection of 30th and University, City Tacos has some interesting tacos that range from traditional to slightly-remixed traditional tacos. I ordered my food and they had it ready in about 10 minutes.

The Mexicali was good and had a slightly different flavor profile than I was used to. I can't pinpoint what it was exactly, but the first bite reminded me of a philly cheesesteak rather than a steak taco. Good and interesting all at once. The Camaron Enchilado was probably the most standard/traditional tasting one I ordered and it was very nice with the added melted cheese. The Pescado was also very good and different in that it had micro greens and sliced strawberries on top. On paper it sounded like it wouldn't work but the strawberries were actually very nice adding that sweetness! For all the tacos, I elected not to add any additional salsas since each of them already had some unique to their taco on top. Overall the tacos were really solid and the tortillas were actually a huge highlight too! They are flour had some chew to them. I probably could have eaten 1-2 more tacos but overall I am definitely interested to try more!

Amazing tacos and great, great service.

If you want something not as traditional, go get the spicy Salmon tacos. I loved them and they were not too spicy.

Cute, little place with outdoor seating!

Need a quick taco? This is the place. It doesn't have much seating but it's meant to be pretty quick in and out, and that it is. I also love the vegetarian options they have. The potato + cheese flautas they have are incred. Delicious chile relleno taco as well. And their sauce selections are great. I tried about three of them and they're all amazing, especially the avocado crema.

Quality had fallen as of late!
They got rid of three of my favorite tacos (ahi, salmon, and Soyrizo). This place was once phenomenal but is not worth the price anymore.

The best part is the homemade tortillas!

10% off your order on taco Tuesday!

      Favorite tacos:
Pescado - had strawberries in it that added an extra sweetness and was a great contrast
      Surf and turf
Crunchy shrimp - it was like a shrimp taquito in a taco

I loved the sauces!! Especially the creamy green and the mango habanero was really unique.

Seating inside and wasn't packed on a rainy Tuesday. Had to find street parking though

This place is just okay in my opinion. I met up with a friend here for their Taco Tuesday a few weeks ago. There's not much seating inside but we found two seats next to each other. I don't know if they do this everyday or just for Taco Tuesday but there was some loud ass music being played by a DJ blurting it inside of the restaurant. There was nowhere you could sit to avoid the loud music. We kind of just wanted to chill and talk instead of compete with the loud music being played right outside of the door.

You have to walk up to the cashier to order your food. He didn't seem too inviting but it was fine. I ordered the fish taco and the surf and turf taco. Neither one of them really had any flavor to be quite honest. It's astounding as the border is a short 20 minute drive where they know how to make delicious tacos.

It's kind of weird that their Taco Tuesday "deal" is only 10% off. A lot of the tacos are $4 or $5 so it's not really a deal. I just wasn't really impressed with this place so I won't be back. It's overpriced and not flavorful, just okay.

This place has a great concept for elevated Mexican cuisine and it's in a great location. Service was excellent and everyone was friendly and chatty. Check out the menu before you go because they offer unique ingredients in some tacos. I thoroughly enjoyed my staple Carnitas Tacos which came with a nice crunchy chicharron on top. Nice touch! My brother ordered Pollo City and Mexicali which he said were excellent. We realized we ate the tacos and forgot to take a pic! The tacos weren't substantial in size but they were flavorful and the salsas were so good. We were still hungry so we ordered more Pollo City and Pollo Asado and took a pic of them with the yummy salsas. Highly recommend. Just remember to order an extra taco or you might be hungry.

Street parking only so plan accordingly.

The tacos were so good! The fish taco was my favorite, the asada wasn't bad but was lacking in flavor even with the salsa it came with. Luckily they had a salsa bar and I added some green salsa which made all the difference. Quality of the food was great and the atmosphere was very chill. Parking is difficult in this area but we found a spot across the street at the target loll

Had a quick bite to eat on Sunday evening here and was very disappointed with my order -- carne asada taco had zero flavor and was on a corn tortilla with beans (which signaled to me I looked at an older menu online bc their in store menu had it listed that way) and the papas + chorizo dorados tacos (also flavorless and greasy, and not even taco like it was like folded and fried like a hot pocket). My husband's order was good though -- shrimp taco and their fish taco, which was delicious and needed no extra salsa. Even with the salsa bar options my tacos were just so basic and yuck. Service was friendly and place was clean, so I don't want to be too harsh on my review. But season yo meat please! lol
