3 stars for what would've been five. Employees inside were awesome when I arrived but then I got home and was super disappointed. I nicely asked and tipped, for just a flour tortilla on the side. That's it. I would've paid for it but there was no option online. Then I paid for extra salsa also not in the bag ....that one stung even though it's just 50¢, my husband and I haven't ate out in months for budget reasons, this was a splurge for us. Sad I know. But if that's sad, you should've seen my face when I opened the bag.

Do you open at 9:30 in the morning usually is 9 o'clock to8 p.m. and you go inside they are so rude and not talking to your face and not say yes or no no understanding English. Well you have to talk in Spanish to them and he's so rude talker. The lady there is so rude. You have to fix this is not good for the business

Opening up its doors in Newport Beach 2002, Chronic Tacos has been cranking out Mexican grub made with fresh ingredients and rich, zingy flavors. I first learned of Chronic Tacos when I was in college and maybe tried it... once? I'm now what others consider somewhat of an adult and it was time to try them out again.

THE FOODS | Tacos, burritos, nachos, etc. We like being able to customize our meals and so the following ensued...

- Build Your Own Burrito | Al pastor, spanish rice, refried beans, cheese, onion, cilantro, lime, lettuce, and cabbage. Creamy, spicy baja sauce is thrown into the burrito, and I added sour cream ($0.54 extra) for good measure. It's got all the flavor components of a great burrito, but found the al pastor to be a little on the dry side. It seems leaner cuts of meat were used, which isn't a deal breaker; I just expected a little more fat content.

- Nachos | Al pastor, refried beans, cheese, onion, and cilantro on top of crunchy tortilla chips. Salsa verde (medium) and salsa roja (hot) side sauces give this dish an extra bit of spiciness; complimenting the al pastor's savory/sweet flavors. Again, the only downside is the slightly dry meat.

- Tortilla Chips with Guacamole | Crunchy warm chips with a side of freshly made guacamole. Always a great combination and loved the avocado chunks found throughout.

THE ORDERING LOGISTICS | Ordered through UberEats and had it delivered.

WOULD I COME BACK? | Yes. Chronic Tacos are all about living that #tacolife and I need to try their tacos next time around.

This place was a little confusing with their ordering process. The food was worth it. I ordered a 2 plate taco dish with the vegan meat and churros. The sauce is good and spicy. I would go here again!

There are only a few seats outside. The space inside is cramped.

Absolutely love their burritos!!! I go here at least once/week and switch it up every time. The food is extremely high quality and fresh. The burritos are huge and heat up great if you can't finish. They also just got several new sauces and they're all incredible! Staff is all super cool too. I've yet to try their breakfast burritos, but I have several friends that told me I have to try them out!

Always love coming here! Everyone is always so inviting and the food is great I never leave hungry. Romero was awesome what a great employee. My burrito was fantastic never short on the portions. You can tell the people there really care about where they work and the food reflects that. 10/10 experience!

Always love coming here to get a massive burrito! Went in this Wednesday evening after work and it did not disappoint! There was a nice young lady working which I didn't catch her name. But she was very welcoming and friendly. Honestly, I may make it round 2 tonight.

Best place for catering Mexican food in the area! The food was very fresh, healthy and amazing. I ordered the Taco deluxe bar with the chicken and fajita vegetables since there were vegetarians in my group. It came with black beans, Spanish rice, the best guacamole, salsa and dips that were delicious. They also went above and beyond with service, offering to deliver since we were nearby without any additional fees. They also included all the serving utensils. Great food and great service. Definitely order for your next event or lunch :)
