Even though we spent a long time at CHOA Urgent Care (deduct 1 star) I must say they have a smooth process implemented here. You sign in at the keypad and the front desk receptionist takes your ID and provides you with a call number. Your name is placed on the monitor with your estimated wait time. It pays to have an appointment but an emergency is an emergency. You then wait in the waiting area and they call you to the billing desk to verify insurance and client information. Once verified you wait until triage, if they have a room available your placed in the room, if not back to the waiting area. Once your called it's just like any visit, prescriptions sent to the pharmacy of your choice and your sent home with your at home care directives.

I personally never gonna mentioned whether my child is in possible distress bc after vital check they will most likely misplace your arrival time and a bunch of people will be seen BEFORE you do so might as well. And this is the first time. They don't have a good system and will make you wait longer even if your child have pneumonia

We have been going to this urgent care for years. We have never had any issues. I usually go right when they open to avoid being there too long because it definitely can get packed at times. They used to let you schedule a time online but since Covid you just have to wing it. Everyone has always been friendly and service has always been top notch. I have 2 children and like I said we have been at this location several times. The only issue we have ever had was my daughter needed antibiotics for strep throat and I was told that I may have an issue with stock of the antibiotic. When I went to CVS I was told there was none within 20 mins from my location. I called to the urgent care and asked them to change the prescription to a different antibiotic and the doctor refused and they suggested I find a different pharmacy. I explained I did not plan on spending my Saturday searching for medication. And if I told you she was allergic you would have no choice to change the prescription, they still refused. The next day I called 2 walgreens before finding it. Went to pick it up only to be told they do not accept my insurance. Was told to go to the Walmart which was across the street and luckily it was in stock and they took my insurance. Again this was one doctor and 1 incident. And we have been here several times so I will keep my 5 star rating. Last time I was at a regular emergency room THAT took forever. Ill take CHOA anyday!

Do not see dr lee
She called cps on my non verbal child saying she was possibly abused. When u complained of profikung as she literally was from thr first question after introducing herself asking abiut why a toddler has any marks on her ie foot and facial birthmark etc. And didnt believe a child can get a mark from a tantrum. I was later advised since my chold.couldnt explain herself and she was only going off her experience working in the inner city ie black
If you are of color pls see a black physician there.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Bentley L.Buford, GA2423Jan 1, 2023
If I could get this a zero I would. 3 hours waiting when they initially said one. Staff is rude. They don't care

The wait time is ridiculously long. We got our numbers for urgent care and our number got skipped over multiple time, extending our wait time. Why have numbers if you aren't gonna go according to them. We spent a total of 5 hours just to not get attended and going to another place.

Been here 2 hours thinking my number would be called but now have been told I needed another number to get seen. This is ridiculous and I'm not sure why we weren't told.

I am shocked to read so many bad reviews. Either we went there on a really good day, or the reviewers went there on a really bad day. I took three of my kids here for the first time since the Urgent care closest to my home was closed. Yes, we did have to wait 45 min (as with all busy urgent care's), but the staff and doctor who worked with us were amazing. The woman at the front desk was so welcoming and polite. The woman at the insurance desk was very sweet. And the doctor who saw all three of my kids was literally the best doctor my kids have ever seen, and I told her that. Her bedside manner, patience, and care were comforting. I wish I could remember her name, but she was African American. We went there pretty early in the morning, and my kids had not eaten breakfast yet, and were complaining of being hungry, and the doctor gave them Apple juice and goldfish. My kids had some questions, which she so patiently and enthusiastically answered for them. After we left, my kiddos told me they liked her, and that was the best doctor visit they've had.

This is the worst place to take a sick child to! The front desk lady obviously hates her job! She tried her best to send us to a different place. She told us to go to another urgent care bc they were busy! Even tho there were only a few patients in the waiting room, the waiting time was 1hr and 45min to 2hr and 30min. My baby was having a fever of 104 and the did nothing to help us see the doctor any sooner!!! My first and last time here!!!
