Q:
Where did they go I drove by today and it's like they were never there?
A:
They moved to the Lighthouse parking lot. They reopen on Monday the 24th. Then are closed on the 25th. Only to open again for their regular schedule on the 26th. Hope this helps. I found it on their Facebook page. :)

Ive never had a bad meal here and i eat here quite often if not every week..
i think ive tried most of the protein options at this point, but i deifnitely have my go to. Spicy chicken tacos with cilantro and onion. Dont forget the salsa verde! The green jalapeño sauce is where its at!
Ive learned recently that if you make special requests for tacos without the shell (a slightly healthier option) they do not disappoint!
They also have vegetarian options including zucchini, mushrooms, cactus..
They also have a special for every day of the week.
Their coolers are stacked with soft drinks, topo chico, juices, $1 water bottles and desserts (flan, tres leche, etc) their horchata is very popular as well!
At the moment theyre located in the Lighthouse Ministries parking lot off 60.
They have seating areas on either side of the truck which provide a nice little lunch-in area.
They are swamped at lunch time so it might take some time to get your order 20/30mins. But the food is hot and fresh! You know its good when theres a line!
The staff make the effort to know their regulars by name and the food wont break the budget.
Cash or charge (for orders over $5)

I have been coming here about once a week for nearly 8 years since before they even moved to this location. Since they Opened their brick and mortar location the service has been definitely decreasing.
I always get extra sauce and it has never once been a problem. But this time I spent over $30 on our order and they insisted that I could only get 2 small cups of sauce for the whole order. The person giving me the order spoke no English and the cashier that took my order just wanted to argue with me. I only asked for two extra cups of sauce which shouldn't be a crazy request for a $30 order. The cashier insisted that this was always the policy and I can't get more.
If I bought a taco for $2 and change I get one cup so why can I only get 2 for an order 10x the price. She finally told me that I had to pay 70 cents to get the sauce and I agreed and walked back to the order window to pay but she then refused and never gave me my sauce. So over 70 cents this business lost a long time customer.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Candace S.Plant City, FL1143Apr 5, 2024
Amazing food, huge portions and everything is fresh. Be prepared to wait about 15-20 minutes because there is usually a line, but I promise you won't be disappointed.

I must say, this food truck deserves a standing ovation! The authenticity of their tacos is unparalleled, making it the best in town. It's a hidden gem, and the quaintness of the truck and seating add to the perfect dining experience. Undoubtedly, a top-notch food truck that reigns supreme!
Not only does this food truck serve up the most authentic and delicious tacos in town, but their service and ambiance are equally remarkable. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The overall ambiance of the truck creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it a delightful place to savor their top-notch offerings.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - RealtorBianka R.Tampa Bay, FL133078Feb 10, 2024
Must try ! Very tasty and authentic Mexican cuisine with very affordable prices! They also sell their own salsa sauce. The staff is fast and friendly

Best Mexican food I've had in the Tampa area and it ain't even close. Service was on top of everything we needed. Atmosphere was chill and exactly what I needed for a quick lunch date with the wife.

Decided to try their fajitas on this round and WOW! They are so freaking huge!! I ate two fajitas n was full! It's literally the tacos but way bigger n comes with the rice, beans n a couple tubs of stuff to put on them. I will definitely order this next time. 1 dish is big enough for two people. Good size for couples of single parents. U could easily feed the fam for what you'd pay for 1 meal in a sit down restaurant.

They moved near a carwash n then landed next to Light house ministries. I know that cuz they were worth hunting them down every time! Like people say; "can't buy love?" Duuude! Those people haven't tried the tacos at Chicken n taco loco bus!! I been going around cheating on my favorite taco bus for sake of seeing if there's better? To this day? I have not found one! I have brought many beautiful men n ladies on dates nights here. They all said the same! I tend to warn people that the green sauce? U gotta walk into it. I brought a dude one time. And he just shoved the whole thing into his food. Guy almost died! Lol I myself had to walk into it. It has fresh hot peppers mixed into it. So if i haven't eaten them in a while they go through me like a torpedo. I have noticed that after the first byte mixed in my food, it mellows out n taste amazing! You know all the years i have visited? i never tried anything else! So when i get my job back? Ima order one of the plated meals. They look fantastic! I noticed that the price went up a bit, totally understandable with how meat prices went up. You can't put a price on love that comes from amazing food. I also recommend their horchata drink! It's so heavenly! Wish they had a liter option to take home. I murder mine halfway hone lol

The family and I just came from MyGym for a birthday party and we were hungry, so we stopped here before heading back home. The decor is so authentic, the people were so friendly, and they were bumping Tejano music like it was 1980! I felt like Selena Quintanilla was going to pop out on stage.
I originally wanted tacos, but then I saw Menudo and Shrimp Tostadas on the menu! I was torn. I ended up getting Menudo because it was more unique and I could make tacos or tostadas any day. The Menudo was so tender and flavorful! It came with the herbs on the side for me to add to my liking. It was nostalgic because it made me think of the Mexican boy band. I felt old because I asked if my daughter knew Ricky Martin and she said no!
Anyways we also got elotes (Tres Amigos) as a starter and it came with 3 full ears of corn. The queso and tajÃn combo I could have eaten by itself!
We couldn't forget dessert, so we got Tres Leches and ChocoFlan to go. There's a display case if you can't make up your mind and need a visual.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Robin C.Washington D.C., DC3173981Jan 12, 2023
The location and the staff were very friendly. Nice ambiance was nice as well! The lady that took my order was very welcoming and friendly! They had a variety of options as well as a well stocked dink cooler.
I ordered the Carnitas burrito, I was super excited based if if they reviews and the line! The lady said it will be ready in 10 mins. I was like great food and fast, perfect! I figure the food here must be fire!!! Well that was NOT the case!! I was terribly disappointed, despite the friendly service my food took more than 20 mins. The best part of the burrito was the tortilla and the hot sauce... the carnitas was bland. It had NO flavor. It tasted like they boiled the pork with maybe one or two onions and a pice of garlic. 1/2 of my lettuce was wilted, there was no cheese in my burrito. There are so many Mexican Restaurants, food trucks, and pop ups in the Tampa area that put their heart and soul in to their food and you can taste it. You can taste the hard work the process. This was not the case with this meal.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dalia A.Tampa, FL03Dec 30, 2023
Service is good and place is cute but, the chicken tastes and looks like precooked. Like the kind you buy in a bag from the frozen food section. Kinda dissatisfying since this place is called chicken and taco loco. Also the chicken is extremely salty no other flavor barely any beans on the burrito. This place isn't the same.
