Waste of money for this so called Italian beef sandwich. Yeah right. Found this food truck in Mount Dora. There was a Xmas festival with a handful of food trucks.

My eyes landed on Chicago Italian beef on the menu and I had to try it out. Seriously everything was just blah. Barely any meat and mostly bread and not even good bread looking at my pic you will see it didn't even looked good just thrown together.

They also have Philly sandwiches and Chicago hot dogs. Perhaps they are better, but the Italian beef definitely was not.

Not too sure why it says this food truck is closed but tried it out a couple weeks ago (12/17/19) at Tasty Takeover in the Milk District. We got the Chicago Italian Beef Sandwich, a Chi-Town Dog, and Chili Cheese Fries. The sandwich was okay, the beef was a little overcooked and on the dry side but the peppers were perfectly cooked. The hot dog my boyfriend got was actually great and I generally try to steer clear of hot dogs but that one might be worth it. He said the chili cheese fries were good and I thought they had a good flavor but a lot of beans. Overall, if I saw them there again we might get another hot dog but it probably wouldn't be at the top of my food truck list.

The guys in the truck were nice, professional, and quick service! The philly is good, sliced beef and I choose not to have toppings. Their cheese sauce though, let's take a moment and talk about the cheese sauce! Creamy, smooth, it has a kick of seasoning, I want a bucket of it to dip stuff in! I had a good experience over all and would definitely repeat.

Good quality beef. I'm from Philly, so never usually go for a cheesesteak anywhere cause it always leads to disappointment. I went for the Chicago beef sandwich on top of a spicy Italian sausage...a great combo sandwich called "the Capone". I'm sure the same beef finds its way into the philly steak sandwiches...which would be pretty good.

Lots of good looking options on the menu and great service staff...I highly recommend

Was just okay. The size and price was a good value

The cheese sauce tasted bland, thick and floury on the philly cheesesteak. I would not choose to eat it again.

I hate to give bad reviews...but I have no choice with this one. As a native Chicagoan, I was thrilled to see their food truck in our parking lot, as I'd been craving a Chicago style dog.

I got especially excited when I went to order and saw that they had real Vienna beef Chicago style hot dog buns.

      It went downhill from there.

The bun was barely steamed, and very stale. The guy making the dog should've caught this. I actually had to remove a part of the bun to even eat it.

The hot dog itself had very little flavor, and no snap.

The mustard, celery salt and relish were fine, but the dill spear was cheap, and also had no snap.

At 4 bucks a hot dog...they should be way better than this.

All in all...very disappointing. I usually will give second chances, but I'm not sure I can with this one.

I have this food truck several times and I have yet to be disappointed. The food is tasty and the price is just right. They've come to my job several time and every time they come the food has been quick and on point. If you see this truck around your town make sure you stop in for a double dose of two great cities.

Tried out the Chi Phi food truck for the first time tonight at a local event. I'm generally not overly enthused about food trucks as the value compared with the quality of food and service doesn't seem to match up well for me. ChiPhi has been one of the few I've tried that I've really been impressed by.

We ordered a chicken philly, a couple of pizza puffs, and fries. The folks working were friendly and efficient, and the food came out in about 2-3 minutes, just as promised when ordering. The philly was fantastic, a lot of meat and enough peppers, onions, and mushrooms to complement it well. Bread was fresh, soft, and chewy, and the cheese infused it all together. Guessing it was about 12 inches; a good size and I'm glad I shared. The pizza puffs were OK, kind of reminded me of a cross between a gigantic Totino's pizza roll and a monte cristo. Much bigger than i thought they'd be as well, about the size of a slice of bread. Fries were good and well-seasoned, with a cheese sauce that paired well. All the items came out crazy hot and we had to wait a couple minutes before digging in. Aside from kids burning the roof of their mouths (repeatedly), I appreciated that they all held up well and didn't get soggy quickly.

All in all, you get a lot for what you pay for, which feels somewhat atypical when it comes to food trucks nowadays. Utensils and napkins were sparse, or maybe I just missed them, but both are a really good idea for this kind of meal. I'd definitely order from them again next time I see them - a dunked Chicago Italian beef is calling my name!

Pretty good food for the munchies. I had their basic fries and a pizza puff. The puff was amazing! If the creators see this review, I think you guys could really upgrade your fries by adding some minced jalapeño to the cheese dip.
