Bottom Line: Large clothing store with nice displays and quality brands.

Chesapeake Bay Outfitters is a rather large clothing store that offers casual attire for men and women including shoes. They also carry some home décor items.

For the most part I eyed up women's clothing and shoes from brands that I often see at Nordstrom like Nic + Zoe, Uggs, Sofft and Olukai. They also had a lot of cashmere sweaters so I spent a fair amount of time perusing the variety. My husband and I also checked out shirts from Chesapeake Bay Outfitters' own line, Rising Tide, which had a terrific feel to them. The store was organized and had great displays.

I'm sorry that the reviews for this lovely store aren't better. We didn't have any awful customer service experiences but I will say no one greeted us or acknowledged us which is never good in a retail situation. In most other shops in Saint Michaels the staff were welcoming, friendly and chatty.

Jutta deserves ten stars!! She was so helpful today. I had questions about a dress I really liked but wasn't sure it could be altered. She was extremely knowledgeable and very kind. I also liked that she asked if she could touch the clothing while I was wearing it (underneath my arms) to show how it could be sewn.

I really "lucked out" with the 50% off sale today. Ugg flip flops were even 1/2 off.

Unfortunately, most of the shoes I really like were full price. Oh and their pashmina dress toppers. Dreamy....

They make me feel so unwelcome that they don't have to worry about me ever darkening their doorstep again.

A store with only high quality merchandise and superior customer service. I had a minor problem with an article purchased from Chesapeake Bay Outfitters and when I brought the issue to the attention of Matt, the matter was resolved quickly, amicably and to my complete satisfaction. I will be back to CBO whenever I am in the beautiful town of St Michaels, MD. THANK YOU!

Horrid woman working in the store... came in with my mom as we were strolling down St. Michaels Main Street. Every other store we walked in everyone greeted us with a smile and a hello, not this place... we received a snarl from the woman behind the counter. She even ignored me when I said hello. She then proceeded to eye us down as if we were trying to steal. No thank you. Save your $$$ and shop any of the other stores where the shopworkers are friendly!

Worst customer service EVER. Drove an hour out of our way to support a small business to get flip flops that are easily ordered online. I asked to use the bathroom since my 3 year old was doing the potty dance and was told to use the public bathroom down the street. This is fine however if you are going to deny a 3 year old the use of your facilities then don't allow another customer in front of my husband to use them. It's rude. We were paying customers and will never spend another penny at this establishment.

If you are looking for Life Is Good gear, then get in here! They had a great selection of Life Is Good stuff for men, women, girls, boys, and even dogs. While we were here, they were having a great sale on many of the Life is Good shirts and we walked out with quite a number of them! They did sell other items beside Life Is Good, but we didn't really spend much time looking at that other stuff. Staff was very friendly and they had several fitting rooms to try things on. Would definitely stop back in the next time we find ourselves in St. Michaels.

My husband bought an expensive pair of Tommy Bahama shorts here in April of 2017. He wouldn't have worn them until it was warm and only for a nice occasion. The shorts are literally falling apart. I called the store and the manager, Ruthie, said they only provide a 90 day warranty. Not even an offer of a credit. Very, very disappointed. They must only hope to cater to tourists who they probably won't see again. Sadly..I'm a local they won't see again.
