Here at Chef Tony's Wood Fired Gourmet Pizza, we offer the finest gourmet pizzas from DFW's first revolving oak wood fired brick oven! After listening to our customers in our Allen location, we've decided to open another location right here in Flower Mound. We use only the finest and freshest ingredients into all of our food and set ourselves apart from the others by having truffle oil, apple wood smoked bacon, house-made sausages and meatballs, basil, arugula, honey baked ham, spanish and kalamata olives, 7 different types of cheeses (mozzarella, smoked gouda, shaved parmesan, provolone, gorgonzola, feta, and goat), and so much more in our ingredient list. Try our made-to-order artisanal pizzas such as the Crispy Prosciutto, Wicked Chicken, Mighty Meatball, and Veggie-licious (to name a few), or you can customize your pie with your choice of toppings and sauces ranging from red, gorgonzola white, roasted garlic butter, and pesto. We also have fresh salads with our very own house-made dressings and with freshly grated cheeses. Also come by for our mac and cheese dishes, especially on Fridays and Saturdays for our signature Lobster Mac made with fresh, live Maine lobsters with spinach and topped with truffle oil and seasoned bread crumbs. For dessert, try our hand-made cannolis, and every week, we will have a new flavor! You have tried the rest of the pizzas from DFW's innumerable chains, but now try the best! We're sure that you'll be coming back for more!

TLDR version: Pizza was 2 stars and Cannoli was 4 stars.
I rarely crave pizza and usually only go with my husband, who can eat it every day by the way, so I was surprised when I was stuck at work and actually wanting a slice.
Based on the online menu, I couldn't really tell what the size of the pizza was. I thought it might be a personal size since it started at $7.99, but it turned out to be a small pie. That turned out to be good since toppings range from $1-$1.50 each. It would have been a real rip off the other way.
I ordered the pizza with chicken, bacon and artichokes. After paying almost $12, I was disappointed that the pizza was under cooked and the bottom was covered in soot, getting it all over my hands.
Under cooked pizza with soggy crust and cheese that won't stretch is a bummer. The toppings all being in the center made it fall apart too. The toppings were cooked fine, but there was little to no seasoning. I really disliked the texture and it didn't taste good. Meh, very disappointing considering their 4 1/2 star rating.
I ordered the Not Your Moms Cannoli, which is one for $1.99, but they included two. These are very small, BUT these were very good. I am not a fan of cannoli cream having chocolate chips inside, nor of chocolate sauce being drizzled on a cannoli.
However, the flavor was rich, the texture was creamy and the pastry was perfectly cooked. It's rare that I find a complete cannoli that I like- this is one of three, so kudos to them.
I don't plan on eating from here again, but if I did I would definitely get a couple of cannolis sans the chocolate sauce and be happy with those. That's about it though.Helpful 21Thanks 0Love this 18Oh no 0 - James C.Euless, TX13376Apr 28, 2018
Wow....the pictures you have posted on Yelp are a complete fraud compared to what I just received from your restaurant.
I ordered a "Cheesy Heaven" that was supposed to have five cheeses and basil. This pizza looked like it came from 7-11, and was sitting in their warmer for 3 hours.
Very disappointed in Tony's Wood Fired Pizza.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sun B.Fort Worth, TX0257Jan 27, 2018

We enjoy going to the Flower Mound Moviehouse down the road, but have become extremely burnt out on their menu. The next time we had tickets, we decided to look for places to eat at beforehand instead which is how we came across Chef Tony's.
It's on the smaller side with around ten dine in tables, but all are covered in linens creating a cozy and welcoming feel. We were the only people there as most everyone else was calling for delivery. The employees were extremely hospitable, telling us to make ourselves comfortable as they handed us glasses for the soda fountain.
We were starving so we ordered a Caesar salad and a large pepperoni and roasted garlic pizza to share. The salad was not what we expected. It's presented like a wedge salad with the dressing drizzled over the top and crotons piled neatly on the side. It was almost too pretty to eat!
The pizza was served piping hot from their wood burning oven and had fantastic flavor. We didn't realize until halfway in that they forgot the garlic, but at that point didn't mind because it was delicious. The bread was thinner than we thought it would be so we managed to finish the entire thing in one sitting.
I would be a happy camper if we lived within their delivery area. The picture of the cannoli's on their menu looked amazing too, so I hope to try one next time we go.
Pro Tip for Yelpers: They have a check in offer for 10% off your orderHelpful 35Thanks 0Love this 32Oh no 0 - Geoffrey G.Denton, TX137331476Dec 9, 2015
I love wood fired pizza and this place is good. The restaurant is small and nice. It's a good date place. The decor is nice pictures of pizza and feels classy. The kitchen is open so you can see them making the pizzas.
The staff were very friendly. They took good care of us. They were good about asking if we had any questions and made sure that we understood everything on the menu.
The food was good and quick. They have some really nice ingredients like grilled zucchini and eggplant for their pizza. They make the mozzarella in house. Out pizza had goat cheese which was really good. The crust was nice and crispy.
We also had a gingerbread cannoli for dessert. It was good but a little sweet.
The prices are really cheap compared to other pizza places and they use good quality ingredients. I was very impressed with the price for what you get.
This was a good outing and I would definitely recommend it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cheri Y.Pensacola, FL5000111818574Jun 26, 2015
I don't get excited about pizza much, I have said this b4. It's so simple to make yet so many places just screw it up royally.
Usually, if I want pizza, I want neopolitian pizza. I love lite thin crust pizza with quality gourmet toppings. If I'm going for that amount of calories it has to be top notch gourmet pizza done right or FORGETABOUTIT! It's not going down this New Yorkers pie hole.
Everyone knows I have a love affair with Olivella's in Highland Park/University Park in Dallas & that hasn't changed. Their one of a kind imported straight from Italy brick oven delivers a crispy thin crust pizza like none other. I still LOVE Olivella's it's pure Neapolitan perfection ;)
However, I'm ecstatic about finding Chef Tony's wood fired gourmet pizza! Woohoo!!! :)'
I was in Flower Mound recently & just happened to notice it. I almost drooled on myself when I walked by & smelled the aromatic smells that only a fresh pizza in the oven can produce coming out of this tiny gourmet pizza place. I took a peek inside & then, THEN, I had to pick my jaw up off the floor when I saw what kind of pizza oven this tiny joint has! Drum roll please....
Chef Tony's has DFW's FIRST REVOLVING BRICK WOOD FIRED PIZZA OVEN !!!
Let me say that again, this pizza oven is BADASS! Lol
Its a $30k Italian pizza oven. It's DFW's very first REVOLVING wood fired pizza oven. When you put the pizza in, it goes in a circle & cooks perfectly evenly all the way around. Holy macaroni!
You know what happened next? I went straight to the nearest liquor store. I needed a drink after seeing that!
Seriously, I went & bought a bottle of Tuscan wine bc it's BYOB ;)
I did not pass go, I did not collect $200 I hurried straight back to Chef Tony's wood fired gourmet pizza & feasted on the most INCREDIBLE Gourmet pizza I have ever had. I drank the whole bottle of wine too. I have no regrets. I will never forget the first bite, it will forever be planted in my memory like my first kiss.
This pizza is gourmet pizza perfection. The crust is gourmet in house made super thin, crispy, yet soft in the inside with a little chewiness. The sauce is also in house made. It's savory with fresh herbs & has a nice fruity sweetness from the tomatoes with a nice acidity to it. Perfection.
The toppings are all top notch quality toppings like sundried tomatoes, arugula, artichoke, Apple wood smoked bacon, smoked Gouda & Gorgonzola just to name a few. Plus in house made sausage & meatballs!
Mama Mia!
They even make their OWN sausage & meatballs! I'm drooling now & hope I can just finish this review b4 I head over there...
That's not all. They have the most gorgeous, fresh made gourmet salads & sides. The menu is small, they keep it simple & do everything to perfection. The salads all come with in house made gourmet dressings. The Caprese is made with fresh Roma tomatoes, basil, balsamic reduction, EVOO & FRESH IN HOUSE MADE MOZZARELLA CHEESE & watermelon while in season! WOW! :)....
They even have several gourmet Mac & cheese dishes. You def want to wait till Friday & Saturday so you can try the Lobster Mac & cheese with fresh Maine Lobster!!! It's prepared with spinach & truffle oil & only available then.
I ordered a custom pie with crispy prosciutto, chicken, Gorgonzola, fresh jalapeños & roasted garlic. It was topped with EVOO & fresh basil. Mama Mia!
It was perfectly cooked, sauced to the edge, had just the right amount of toppings & it was so divine I ate almost the whole thing by myself. I also ordered one to go for my hubby. I brought it home & heated it on my pizza stone @500 degrees till the cheese was bubbly, it was just as good as when I ate it there.
The dine in is brand new, quaint, cozy & BYOB! It's a walk up & order from the counter place then, they bring you your order. Nothing fancy, except the food which is the way it should be.
Chef Tony's does delivery, it's a $15 minimum in a 3 mile radius. You can check out his website @ www.cheftonysgourmetpizza.com
It's not Olivella's Neapolitan pizza. It's not like anybody's pizza. It's Chef Tony's gourmet wood fired pizza that is expertly crafted & prepared in the only revolving brick wood fired pizza oven in DFW & I can't wait to stuff it in my pie hole again :)...
Well done!
Highly recommend.Helpful 24Thanks 0Love this 23Oh no 0 - Chris P.Flower Mound, TX112510Apr 3, 2018
First look of our delivered pizza was frightening! We ordered all the meat they offered, mushrooms and mozzarella. In case the pic doesn't show it, the whole thing looked black! No flavor either. Crust needs salt (and another minute or two in the oven), minimal sauce was blah and sausage and meatballs also flavorless (how is the hat even possible?) See if you can pick the mushroom from the meatball from the sausage lol...

Awesome pizza, great staff, wonderful atmosphere. Pizza is amazing, we got the Mighty Meatball the first time and saw others ordering half and half (dang it!) so we took note for next time. The mighty meatball was delicious, the ingredients were considerably delicious combined.
Wanted to try a cannolli but was too stuffed as we ordered too much (eyes were bigger than our stomaches) but there's always next time! Give it a try if you're looking for some awesome, reasonably priced pizza!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Shawn B.Flower Mound, TX32872May 24, 2015
My wife and I visited Chef Tony's on Saturday afternoon after we had taken in a movie, so it was around 3:00, in between lunch and dinner. We were the only ones in the place. We saw the previous reviews and were a little skeptical with the high ratins at first but let me tell you they did not disappoint.
We were greeted promptly and the lady that seated us told us about the entire menu which was very helpful, and wow how friendly. I wish I had asked her name, she was very nice and knowledgeable about food and well traveled. I believe she may have been an owner with her husband? I am not sure of this however. What I am sure of is she knew the menu and food.
We were leaning between the Mellow Mushroom and the Wicked Chicken. We settled in on the Mellow Mushroom and some Rustic Cheese Bread to begin the meal. The bread came out first and it was delicious. Keep in mind that this is baked in a Woodfired Oven. This IS NOT Pizza Hut. The bread had the right amount of seasoning, cheese and was crispy but not over filling.
As we finished up the Rustic Cheese Bread, our pizza came out looking wonderful. You can tell a quality place because it is not just about the food itself, it is also about the presentation, and they have this down. The pizza was beautiful with three different types of mushrooms, delicately baked to a wonderful tone with a crispy crust, just the right amount of sauce and mozzarella cheese made in house to top it off. It was a pleasure to indulge in this well made piece of art.
We ended the meal with a cannoli, which interestingly was accented with twix, yes twix. The dessert was absolutely wonderful and a perfect end to the meal.
I do want to caution you. This is not Dominos or Pizza Hut. These are well crafted, artisanal pizza. There is nothing about this that is packaged. Chef Tony' makes everything from scratch including the mozzarella cheese, the crust and the sauce.
If you are looking for a gooey, doughy, overladen with cheese pizza, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a wonderfully fresh dining experience with people that are true chef's, then I would highly recommend Chef Tony's. You will not regret it.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
