Customer service is absolutely garbage. I have called 11 times in the last two days and it just says "call back another time"

I live right next door so this location is very convenient. The employees are pleasant and efficient. Many of the 389 residents of my condo building use them. Usually no or minimal wait to be served. However, yesterday I had an issue depositing foreign currency, Euro to be exact. The conversion rate is $1.00 per 1 Euro for the past week. I looked on my credit card accounts, they do not charge a conversion fee, and yes, charges were $1.00 per Euro the past week. I went to deposit $70 Euro left over from a 5 week European vacation. I questioned the exchange rate because they only gave me $64 deposited in my account. The teller insisted it was the rate and no commission. I read up on Chase practices and YES, they charged 9 cents on the dollar for commission. For a long time customer with a large no interest balance in checking, that is uncalled for. SHAME ON CHASE FOR SECRET COMMISSIONS ON MONEY CONVERSION.

This branch is amazing. I switched to Chase from Wells Fargo about two years ago and I have gotten to know all of the tellers very well, they all know me by my name and I feel like we are all friends. They're so quick to help and always keep it professional. I love Alicia especially, she's the reason I come inside to deposit money instead of outside at the ATM.

So exactly when did you start requiring a pin to take money out of my checking account? You had my legal state issued drivers license and my signature on file and my account number. I asked for a counter check and the lady I assume to be a manager said its required. I don't think so. Federal law determines what it takes to remove funds from an account they insure. Better get this figured out

I was really torn about closing my account here because the service is always friendly and helpful and most Chase branches have a very modern, clean, efficient layout that makes me comfortable and feel like my money (or lack thereof) is being looked after.
However as I continue my crusade to shift as much spending and financial transacting as possible to Arizona business, banking is at the top of my list so I have switched to Arizona State Credit Union.
While I would love to see everyone support local financial institutions I understand that a national bank is better for some people. If this is the case, I would recommend Chase for friendly, convenient service.
Trust me, I ain't shedding NO tears when I break up with Bank of America.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kyndall C.Phoenix, AZ344Mar 12, 2019
Really starting to get annoyed that their drive through signs says it's open, yet there are NEVER any tellers in site. You can push the call button all you want, it's all a waiting game. What's the point of the drive through?

Chase deserves Zero rating. I have been with Chase since they started business. They acquired mortgage loans of properties I got stuck with thru fraudulent real estate deal. People advised me to walk away from loans, and default.
Out of personal integrity, not wanting to pass the misery on to another entity, I held on. Chase said they would take care of the loan needs.
After years paying, payments were going up, so I applied for loan modification. Four times resubmitted as supposedly they didn't receive it all. I wrote to CEO begging for response to my re modification papers and no response, other than an auto phone call to refill out application!?! Finally, I was forced to sell and lost over 90K.
When a local banker said congratulations, I was repulsed (he is nice guy and didn't understand what I had been thru w/re-modification process).
Another letter to CEO and I get a response to attempt to re-modify that same property. NO ONE READ THE LETTER THAT SAID I WAS FORCED TO SELL. Gone. You know how Wells Fargo got in trouble for delaying re modifications, etc, to financially benefit..well, Chase hasn't been busted yet. They should be, or at least have staff better trained, and have CEO's review and respond to letters unless they have efficient staff to delegate it to. Communication with them, whether it is in writing, and/or multiple applications, etc, is a total waste of time!
Shame on themHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
