Our first day my husband and I decided to rent skis at charter because we are Marriot Elite members and get a 30% discount. We grabbed our skis and couldn't wait to ski. At the top I tried to get into my skis but my boots wouldn't lock in. I tried endlessly and even ski patrol tried to help. The only way we could get them to lock was to manually push up with our hand . Finally they told me the binding must be bad and I would have to go back to get new skis. By this time after waiting inline for gondola and walking the distance to the ski shop half my day was over for skiing. I went into the shop and the first guy was extremely nice. I asked for a manger to ask for part day compensation and all I got from Ashley was an attitude. She looked at me and asked the guy if they worked. He said he was t sure what happened but now the boot would lock in. She looked at me and said " if I can't find anything I'll do nothing". She turned and walked away. I am usually a chill person but this really ticked me off as in a ski community that depend on MY money to treat we with such disregard. She was rude and never even said sorry for your inconvenience. NOTHING! Since they partner with Marriott they got me in contact with her boss. Of course he helped me because it looks bad for them and Marriott.
Words do advise.... go elsewhere . They are horrible, rude and overpriced without the discount. They need a lesson in customer service. "I,m sorry" goes a loooong way.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

The customer service was unbelievable, and I couldn't have been happier with my rental skis.

Very friendly people at Charter. However, please see the review from the lady who had her bindings incorrectly adjusted. Same exact thing happened to me. Got my son fitted the night before skiing and had everything ready to go for the next day. Got to the top of the Eagle Bahn Gondola and my son couldn't fit into the bindings. Luckily, I had made small talk with a ski patrol guy coming out of the gondola, and he brought us into the ski school nearby where they had my son's bindings re-adjusted within 5 minutes. They saved me at least 45 minutes of ass-pain.

I actually made a Yelp account specifically so I can let you people know about my experience at charter sports. First off, when I got my skis Valet from my car to the rental shop storage they lost one set, then when I obviously was upset about it some black guy working there was giving ME attitude, saying that he deals with hundreds of pairs of skis and mine weren't any more special then any of the other skis, they are special to me!! Then finally when they mysteriously showed up some kid named Caden was trying to set them up for someone else!! and then the black guy came and yelled at him in front of everyone there and even swore at him and told him to get outside when he was only trying to help. Finally at the end of the day the one employee there was nice to me, was helping me buckle up my boots and talking to me about skis, he sort of made up for the other two knuckle heads so I gave him a $20 tip which was meant for him, and the black guy again scolded him in front of everyone in there telling him to put it in the tip jar when the guy I gave the tip to was on his way to putting in the jar anyways. The entire time I was at the Marriott every time I went into that shop the black manager was either yelling at someone or had s pissed off look on his face. Not a friendly person not good vibes in that shop at all.
