Now 2 years later and this bad person has never explained how he lost our tax paperwork from 2021. Has never returned our original paperwork as he said he would and has never offered an apology, explanation or any remorse for the problems his horrible service caused.
Less than one star for sure. Too bad yelp does not allow a stinko rating.

Never filed my taxes. Now I am delinquent in filing.
Refuses to return my emails or phone calls
Common excuse is that his computer crashed.

In business, especially one handling critical issues, like accounting, finance or taxes, your computer should be a separate computer. No personal or other activities. Years ago, I was considered computer illiterate. My business was on a separate computer.

Wish I could put -1. Charles was not worth the 600.00+ he charged us. We were audited and we waited months for our check from the IRS. He made a big mistake in our taxes! Please think twice about using him.

I hired Charles to help me with my mother's taxes. He required a $500 deposit. I left him all of my mother's income and expense paperwork. He created a portal to send me a POA form. The portal never worked for me, but he insisted it worked for him. I asked him to email it to me, and he insisted on USPS. I signed it and sent it back. I then emailed him daily to get the status about the taxes, and he did not respond for one week. He finally called, saying his computer crashed, and he never saw my emails. Coincidentally, he said the IRS computers crashed for a week. He never called to explain any of this. When I told him I was taking my business elsewhere, he said that he normally charges $250 for the POA form, but he would only charge me $100. When I arrived to pick up my mother's paperwork and refund check, the check was for $300. He stated he said he would charge me $200, not $100, and that I didn't hear correctly. And he couldn't find a folder of my mother's bills and invoices I left with him. Buyer beware!
