Came in for a routine cleaning and my dentist wasn't there.
So her fill-in, looks in my mouth for all of 2 minutes and tells me I need a small filling.
Before I got the filling done, I asked what it would cost me.
The dental tech checked with my insurance, and gave me my out of pocket cost, and I paid for the filling that day.
A month later, I got a bill in the mail with no explanation of what it was for.
Called and was told the type of filling wasnt covered by my insurance, even though I've used the same insurance there 6 months previous.
Also, they forgot to charge me for my deductible when I got the filling done, so they added that to the bill.
Been to the dentist plenty of times and this has never happened.

Didn't like the lack of communication before and after the filling, the response on the phone about the bill, or the fill-in dentist who was looking for some work.

Should have checked yelp before going here, the equipment is outdated.

I've been desperately trying to find a new dentist in the Culver City Area and thought, why not, I've seen Dr. David Campbell office around for a long time so ok.

I was completely turned off as soon as I walked in. Place looks old, dirty and tv was blasting Hispanic talk show. However, I stuck it through even though I waited 2 hours before seeing a dentist and freezing to death.
All the women were speaking Spanish which I feel it is very unprofessional in a customer service based businesses. Finally when all the paperwork were squared away, a dental asst. started prepping for my procedures (2 filling; 1 composit, 1 regular filling) abd that's when iI was horrified. All of their equipments were old looked super dirty! GROSS!! I guess it was my fault for sticking around but I was desperately in pain.

In addition, Dr. David Campbell is a tall Asian guy with a heavy english accent who looked like he rolled up of bed. I should have asked him to wear a cap because I was afraid of his flakes falling in my mouth.

      FAIL!

These guys suck. Literally caged off the entrance on Washington Blvd. Used to go here and was a member of the gym down the street. My experience was this - they were cheap, but I got what I paid for. Got multiple fillings. On one occasion, they put too much filling on my tooth and somehow a nerve was exposed. I had to go in the next day. On another occasion, I got way too much novocaine, and my mouth was numb for a day and change. Further, upon switching dentists, my new one recommended 6 fillings, because Dr. Campbell's staff didn't get it right the first time. On top of that, their receptionist has terrible bedside manner. Just in it to be a dental chain. Lousy. Recommend anybody but these guys. They aren't expensive, that is the one upside.

Yelp said my last review of these guys wasn't specific enough. Hope this is specific enough :).

I went to Dr. Campbell's office to for a toothache (prior to getting my root canal at a different dental office). It was the most useless dental session I've ever been to (other than getting pain killer for my awful headache).

I have nothing against a dental office that looks like a dental place from the 1980s. HOWEVER, I do have something against machines that don't function properly. The dentist, Dr. Fan(?), took an x-ray, and when the film came back he had to move it around a dimly, unevenly lighted light box to try to see what's wrong with my tooth. He couldn't find anything anything on the x-ray (not sure if he could actually see, since the light box wasn't the brightest thing), so he decided to take a look at my actual tooth! Not surprisingly, he still couldn't find anything. The doctor then decided to run a "cold test," in which he places a freezing cold cotton ball on top of my already hurting tooth to find the source of the pain. Luckily, he ran out of the freezing air can and had to stop. I mean, having an old office is one thing, but having a broken, supply-less office is another.

He then told me that he "thinks" it's my last molar that's having problem, and gave me a referral to this specialist to get a root canal. There was no way I was going to go through a root canal when my doctor couldn't find the source of the problem and "thinks" I need a root canal.

The following day I went to a different dentist, and he found the source of my problem within 30 seconds (YAY for ME!)

I checked my insurance the following week and noticed that I was charged $60 for a consultation where he just "thinks"

I went here for a dental check up in January after having an unpleasant experience at my previous dental office. I chose this place because the owner does free dental work for a non-profit where I volunteer so I thought it must be an honest practice (which I could not say for my previous dentist). I then decided to get braces with this office. I have been going there every month since January. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. I didn't feel like I was being ripped off, the practice seems honest about what you really need to get done, not just trying to sell you stuff and empty your pockets. Dr. Bakhtari is the orthodontist and he is very good, I'm happy with how my braces are going so far and with the services provided. The only thing that makes it 4 star is that it is not a fancy new high-tech office but I'm ok with that for not getting ripped off!

I'm a big fan of this staff and Dr. Lee. They're very professional, friendly and accommodating, and Dr. Lee explains treatments thoroughly. I had a root canal done a few weeks ago and it was pretty painless, save for the customary soreness the next day. The only reason they don't have 5 stars is because the decor is a little dated, and the office could use a remodel. It doesn't matter much because the care is excellent. I'll definitely be back.

Bad communication.. mediocre dental work. One of the front desk ladies is super sweet, and one lady is super rude (they know who they are) and the quality of dental work is so bad that I now have to go somewhere else because they either messed my tooth up, or didn't do what needed to be done in the first place. Not to mention the filling is not "filling" the hole she created when she drilled. It does not sit flush to the rest of the tooth. Ugh. And there's nothing I can do about it, but start over with a different dentist.

It's hard for me review this place. I'm just gonna split up pros and cons

Cons: Yes, it's a run down space with a lot of ancient technology. It sometime feels like your in a black market joint with how the 1970's interior making you feel sketchy. One of the assistants Also can be so rough. She shoves the water and suction tube into your mouth and hurts more than the tooth it self.

Pros: The staff is really nice and remember you. Treat you with a genuine smile and always do what they can. I love that i can just show up and they'll fit me in and extract a tooth or do what needs to be done right there and then.

If it was just based on personality this place would be a easy 5 star. It deserves the 3 starts because of that and how they will take you right then and give me a great no insurance rate. I still find myself walking to them for my teeth if that says anything

The wait was not that long. The place was kind of retro-looking but cool in a good way. The staff was friendly and the dentist was extremely helpful, nice and my toothache was gone the same day! Overall, i would go back again!
