My mommy friend told me about this place. Took me a few months, but I finally went, and it will now be a part of our grocery shopping routine. The prices are great! I was amazed. We walked out with 3 huge full bags and paid about $50.
If you are local and didn't realize this store was near you, I definitely recommend checking it out.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Apr 26, 2021
It's a bit nicer than your average Asian market, but only that it's well spaced out and kept neat.
The same caveats apply-choose your items carefully, as some produce is at or near the end of its shelf life. You can get a bargain here, but select carefully and use the products soon after purchase.Helpful 10Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Aug 12, 2019
This place is hit or miss when it comes to fruit and vegetables. Sometimes the stuff looks fresh, and sometimes it looks like they get the supermarket rejects. This past weekend was the latter, unfortunately, for many things including broccoli, string beans, red peppers and strawberries - they all looked like they were the rejects from other supermarkets - and should have been tossed. Even on a good day, you really have to closely examine all the produce - especially the stuff in packages like berries. Many times, there will be moldy or rotten berries toward the bottom - clearly arranged that way.
The only thing that's reliable is that the bread and rolls are delivered fresh each morning. They are pretty good, and at a great price. The deli also has good quality cold cuts at a fair price. Eggs are usually much less expensive than the supermarkets.Helpful 12Thanks 0Love this 9Oh no 0 - Jan 8, 2017
This is my new favorite place to get fresh produce. The fruits and veggies are fresh and really affordable. They selection is surprisingly varied. There is a great selection of breads, including Turkish bread, challah, and rye. They also have various preserves and fruit spreads. There is a deli available, but I haven't ordered from it.
They also have almond milk and organic eggs available. I wouldn't say it's a one stop shop for groceries but it's best for produce.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Judy F.New Providence, NJ181Aug 29, 2021
The prices are FANTASTIC, HOWEVER, the folks who work there are not helpful-or customer friendly. But it's fine because again the prices are really good. Please note that the deli is a separate entity - a slight savings over Acme but not great. The deli ladies ignored me for 5 minutes and when I gave up and walked away a man came up to their counter and the immediately assisted him. The gentleman actually saw what happened and the look on my face and he told them to help me first which was nice, but the service was misogynistic and I'm not using the deli again.

Too much chatting at the deli!! Should take half the time...it's not customer friendly and its just inconsiderate.

Try the Turkish bread - try it with some olive oil brushed on and heated in the oven for a few minutes - its so YUMMY! Nothing is organic though so if you want organic, this is not the place for you. The problem I experience is the DELI. They are very slow and can be rude (or clueless, whichever). Today, I waited quite a while as two employees helped two customers. When the female was finished with her customer, she just walked away and completely ignored me and the fact that I was waiting and went to do something else. I was quite irritated by this so I left. And its inconvenient that they make you ring up your deli order separately from everything else. I dont get that. I will just buy my cold cuts elsewhere from now on. Overall, the place ss convenient, inexpensive, and not bad.

The prices are generally excellent.
But you have to be careful because often their produce is not the freshest around. Obviously they tend to buy what they can procure at a good price. Which means that sometimes what they are selling is older produce that is starting to go bad. Not that you can't run into the same problem at Acme and ShopRite, but it definitely happens more here. And they simply won't carry things that they can't buy well and offer to the customer at a good price.
My biggest beef with the store is that the cashiers are often not accurate. Twice I have caught them substantially overcharging me for items. $4.99 for a quart of half-and-half that was supposed to be $2.99. And when I pointed out the problem,,the manager starting to get nasty and try to embarrass me by raising his voice. Of course I did not back down. In fairness, I have also experienced the cashiers undercharging me for other items.
I continue to shop here as the prices are generally excellent, but I'm very careful about doublechecking the quality of what I'm buying, and what the cashiers are charging me.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - JP B.Lagraulière, France03Nov 6, 2017
Great place for veggies. Prices are great too. BUT NOTHING IS ORGANIC HERE.
It is really not a ORGANIC store. BUT always best quality than most of supermarkets around.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mina S.Clinton, NJ03336Sep 10, 2019
