I'm not usually hanging around the Eastern Iowa Airport for long but when a recent flight was delayed, I had a chance to explore this little news stand.

They sell salty and sweet goodies from Amana, and Hawkeye gear for the University of Iowa! I love it when an airport shows off it's local roots.

They also sell magazines, books, coffee and tea. Most of the tea is Bigelow but they did have one box of Tazo. The coffee though, and I'm not sure who it's roasted by, was godawful. Guess that shouldn't be a surprise but with a handful of local rosters like Capanna, Wake Up Iowa, and Cafe del Sol, I was hopeful.

Ok there are two cedar ridges in the airport. We were at the other one and ordered breakfast omelets. It came with hash browns. The entire breakfast was greasy, the service was poor, the was no water provided, the coffee was very very strong and I had to go up and ask for cream. The person waiting on us is very unhappy. Have a nice day.
