Catfish Village

Been going to this place since I was a kid, I lived in Shreveport for the first 19 years of my life and every time I come home I request that we go right over the state line to have wonderful food.
I love when they have crawfish, I look forward to it!
This is the place to get consistently good catfish, even when I went through a phase of not being so into fish I would still eat their Cajun fried catfish!
don't be scared to stray from the seafood, I had some delicious grilled chicken here as well! The waitstaff are always very kind and even after I developed a severe egg allergy, they were always nice about checking ingredients! highly recommend!
side note: although its not as good as it once was, I still love going through their gift shop for any little knick knacks!

There should not be any "Hype" around this restaurant and Seafood... or Catfish for that matter. Super underwhelming. It's sorta like a Cracker Barrel in the fact there is an empty gift shop to browse while you wait to be seated. They do not serve alcohol so if you want a draft beer with your Catfish, wrong place! If you don't mind waiting almost an hour for your meal, cool, the parking lot looks full but once inside very few tables seated or eating. My shrimp and fries came out like a kids fast food meal. Didn't taste bad, just not a fan, not my idea of Catfish or seafood restaurant. Just not for me. Pass on by folks.

Horrible. Waitress was too nice to tell her that the food was horrible. Name is false advertising. There is no "catfish" to be had at "Catfish Village". If you like bland frozen swai this place is for you! Shrimp is fishy tasting/smelling, like cat food fish smell. Fried pickles tasted like sweet old grease. I hate we drove 2 hours from home to try, but at least now we won't die without knowing. ‍

Okay place for an alright meal. Was here a couple of months ago. Restaurant was kinda empty and a little slow when we were there. Service was on par for pace, may be better when more customers are there. Will have to give it another try sometime.

For Tourist Trap, I got exactly what I expected. Fish was dry. Oyster was bad. No need to go any further.

Too few waiting staff and no urgency to hurry up and food took forever to get! Food was ok 1/2 frozen and 1/2 fresh.

This place is like a laid back and more relaxed Cracker Barrel. Prices are good, so was the food, wait staff and ambiance.

if you want fish that tastes like breaded cardboard, stop at Catfish Village Waskom. if you want good tasting fish, go someplace else. We complained to the cashier...she totally ignored us, no comment. We will not go back.

This app says they are open til 9pm...the place must have closed down. Read two reviews which is why I would guess they have closed for good.

We went early evening. There were 2 other people in the restaurant, we waited 10 minutes and no one came to the table. When we left the hostess asked us if anybody waited on us. Sounds like a constant problem.
