This place has some beautiful stuff from all over the world! The woman who owns it has great taste and so many of the items are colorful and unique. They have lots of stuff from Mexico as well as Africa and Asia. I would definitely recommend it, especially for gift shopping.

What a lovely, locally-owned, charming shop. I love Mexican handicrafts and this place is loaded with very reasonably priced jewelry, home decor, wall art, and more. It's colorful and pleasant. I need to go there soon, it's been a while!
The owner is delightful. She has a huge selection of Putumayo CDs which I love. I try to buy them here vs. Borders, etc. She has a copy of almost every one available for play, she will play you whatever you wanna hear and even short list 'em for you, based on her faves.
This is a great place for culture-inspired gifts in great taste ... or for oneself!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Carolyn G.New Orleans, LA5333324May 16, 2008
Such a cute store! I've driven by many many times, and finally had cause to stop... I was on the hunt for painted ceramic shot glasses. I have seen them in almost every Mexican flea market, so thought for sure this store would have some. I was wrong, not a shot glass to be found. But, the store is full of other Mexican handicrafts. The prices are higher than what one would pay at a flea market in Mexico, but considering you save the hassle of transporting (and worrying about breakage!), the higher prices might be worth it for you.
Regardless, they have a lot of cute items at reasonable prices, and the salesperson was extremely friendly and helpful.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Patt M.Evanston, IL126Mar 17, 2009
Having been to Mexico numerous times, I now go to Casita Azul to buy my Mexican handicrafts instead. Jill's selection is handpicked and a product of the personal relationships she has with a variety of craftspeople in Mexico.. Delightful and friendly it is everything you want a independent, personal boutique shop to be. A little piece of Mexico right in my neighborhood!
