AMAZING food, AMAZING service and AMAZING ambiance. We got lucky and were able to hear live music. We enjoyed it so much that we took friends there the next day. The servers were very attentive and friendly. I have a seafood allergy and they were very careful with my food and made sure to inform me of what I was not able to consume.
Get the pumpkin soup or the malanga soup if on the menu to start...YUM!
Great place for catching up with friends or even a date.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rene P.Guaynabo, Puerto Rico321898Jul 20, 2016
Trust me ...this place is seriously EXCELLENT!!!!
We recently returned from a trip to NYC where we went to outstanding restaurants such as Chef Jean-Georges'ABC Kitchen, Sotohiro Kosugi's SOTO, among many other excellent places. Casablanca is world class cuisine, no if, and's or buts about it.
From appetizer to dessert, we were astounded by the flavors and creativity displayed in all the dishes. We started with the Chicharrones de Pulpo which were to die for. I had the Mushroom Risotto with Panko Tempura Shrimp (more like mini- lobsters) - fantastic! My wife had the Tuna on the majado de vianda, perfectly cooked outside-rare inside- outstanding. Oh, almost forgot... we ordered a side dish of truffled fries - soooo good. The dessert was the Barrigitas de Vieja which are local winter squash fritters served with home-made ice cream.
Fantastic food, great service - will be going back ASAP :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Guillermo M.Washington, DC354115Dec 13, 2015
This place is not bad but nothing spectacular. The only dish (and we tried several) that I feel was very good was the Corned Beef Brisket Sandwich which, other than the fact that my expert friends (they're award winning brisket makers) noted it was made in an electric smoker and not a "real smoker," I'd say was very tasty and juicy and by far the best part of an otherwise unremarkable meal with some honestly bad plates. I would go back just to eat that sandwich, and that's why this place isn't getting two stars because some of the appetizers we had (particularly some deconstructed rice and garbanzo dish) were barely presentable.
The restaurant itself is very well decorated and the staff is very pleasant so I have no complaints about the service or the location. It is rather overpriced, but that's clearly part of what they're going for with the decor. I would put this place in the $$$ category, not the $$ category.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ecm P.Kissimmee, FL0165Oct 20, 2016
I am leaving this place right now, and as I leave I am reminded of why so many good and promising places fail miserably. The food is good, but it doesn't feel like home. The drinks are good, and the mixologist seems like someone who knows what he is doing; that's a plus. Here's my real problem.
I was told they had valet parking, which I don't care for since I really don't like other people handling my property. The thing is that when I got there the guy was on the phone, then he took off running before I could say anything. So, I parked further up the street... not a big deal... but the valet should not be on the phone when he is supposed to be doing his job.
The place is cozy, and not a lot of people there, which I also liked. But... kids at the bar? Really?! And I don't mean kids as in the younger generation of professionals or even tweens... I'm talking about less then 10 year old kids... After that it all went downhill...
I cannot judge the speed in which the food came out because I had already ordered, but setting a timeline... it took about half an hour for me to get my plate... it was good, not great. It took about 15 minutes to get my drink order... and then it took about 30 minutes after we ate and drank for us to get the dessert. Plus, the waiter threw away my friend's food after she had asked for a "doggy bag"...
They tried to make it work. They tried to make it better... they got the ticket wrong at the end... oh, and it took about half an hour more to get our bill... and it was wrong...
My suggestion to the owners... pay attention. You have a good place in a location where most people would die for to have a business in. Train your staff. Leave the kids off the bar... and have your valet hang up his damn phone...
As I walked out the guy was still on his phone...Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Monique G.San Juan, Puerto Rico8412Jun 19, 2015First to Review

Eh. Food should have been better. One member of our party had to return the same plate twice. Another had to return, both for the same reason: too salty!
Service was good,l. No complaints there.
Decor was decent (despite being seated next to a 38 inch TV which glared an ugly light residue onto our table.
Acoustics in the room made for difficult conversation (big empty room, with wooden floors.
The nitrogen, moment-frozen ice cream was a surprise with a bit of molecular gastronomy. Although not completely frozen when served (splitting hairs here).
Overall, great potential, def be back, but I will be on the lookout.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Hector V.Washington, DC3333Feb 20, 2016
Excellent service and although they were serving brunch, the regular menu was made available to us and our kids. Nice twist to local cuisine with a modern creative touch. Will definitely go back.

Very dissapointed, we ordered the fish of the day"bacalo" with the majado de viandas, which we were told by the server was excellent. When the food arrived, there was no majado, instead they gave us boiled "viandas". I asked the server about my majado, and she said they were out of it and gave us that, without even telling us first. Place is overrated and overpriced!!
