Without a doubt, this is my favorite Dominican restaurant in Richmond that surpasses all others!

The food is undoubtedly a perfect 10/10, though the service could benefit from individuals with customer service experience and strong English proficiency.

Unfortunately, the ambiance is lacking. My suggestion is for them to consider engaging a small marketing company or a food influencer to enhance the promotion of their delectable food. Though it lacks presentation and modern-day style trends, it is undeniably delicious and worthy of attention.

I highly recommend this place!!!

Cómo el único restaurante Boricual, La Palmera, cerró hace años, yo he comido y sigo comiendo en El Caribe (comida Dominicana) en la Hull St. Voy los Miércoles cuando hacen patitas de cerdo sancochas! Tienen un menú extenso con especialidades cada día de la semana. Las muchachas del Caribe son fantásticas y muy atentas! Es como estar en familia. Los veo allí!

Only authentic Dominican restaurant in RVA. Worth the trip if your not in the area. I usually get pollo guisado and it's always so yummy. The whole plate is only $7! I often get tostones and queso frito as well. The queso is always so crispy and perfect -- but they do run out time to time.

They've expanded the place so there's lots of space to sit and dine in!

Food here was okay- nothing that stood out, but I think my order was confused. So I wanted stew chicken with rice and sweet plantain. Instead I received stew chicken and tostones which I'm not a fan of.
I'll try again - my coworker really likes the food here, so I'll b back to try again.

Mofongo, Mondongo, Flan, Habichuelita y Santo Domingo! 1st visit and won't be last! I was fiending for some Authentic Dominican food ( My all time favorite and most difficult to find), and found Caribe ! What a find This was! I ordered the mofongo (mashed fried plantains with garlic and pork rinds mixed in) chicharrón, mondongo (tripe) with white rice and batida de papaya (papaya shake) to go. I was afraid the mofongo would become too tough to eat when I got home, due to the distance to my home and having to reheat the food. I arrived home and my one complaint is that the mofongo was too heavy for the styrofoam container and everything spilled into the bag. That didn't prevent me from eating it but, it almost fell out of the bag. I heated up the mofongo, added the Mondongo over it and it was purely amazing! The food was delicious, well seasoned and still tender. I also failed to mention I normally don't eat everyones Mondongo (tripe). It's not the type of food that everyone can prepare well, but Caribe blew me away! My own little piece of DR. Also, I must say the customer service was exceptional!

Hi guys my first time at this Dominican restaurant it was excellent the chicken was awesome the server was very friendly and funny will be going back it's like home away from home

New to the area and picked this restaurant, I made a great choice. The atmosphere was warming. I ordered the roti and a stew chicken meal. Roti was soft and full with peas. The stew chicken and rice was tasty. It came with side of cabbage and plantains. The food portions are large, I needed a carry-out container. The owner was nice and friendly. Will definitely be back.

Love the food there. The servings are huge! They cook it fresh. I go a lot for their pork chicharrón. I also had their mangú. It's my go to place when I'm craving home made Dominican food.

I have been searching for delicious and authentic Dominican food for awhile. I thought I had found a place only to be disappointed. I turned to yelp for help. Low and behold, this place popped up.
I read the reviews and was intrigued. I managed to.find this place no problem. The service was great. Very attentive as soon as I entered. The food tasted like I was back home (NY). The biggest test was the morir soñando. That drink will make or break my experience and it made it even better!
The prices were very reasonable. I can definitely say I will be returning for more!
