Bought tires from TireRack and chose this location for installation. Called to schedule an appointment for right at opening at 7:30am. I arrived early but the workers didn't show up until 7:32am (no big deal). I gave time for them to get settled. When I entered, someone was already on speakerphone calmly explaining that their starter still was having problems. I let the worker finish the call before I introduce myself. The worker can't find me on the schedule and suggests I leave the car so they can do the work when they have free time. I decline and take my tires and leave. Mobile tire installers are worth the convenience and timing.

Follow up to my last review. I called. Left a voicemail like required. No follow up. The lack of good customer service is real. Neighbors, friends and all who value the old ways of customer service. When you give someone money. They insure your needs are met. Avoid this company at all cost. Literally

I was told to go to this location through my warranty company. Spoke with a "manager". First of all, the person on the phone was very nice and helpful, listening to my concerns and then put me in touch with the "correct" person. The manager got on the phone and started with an attitude. His tone insinuated that I was an idiot for not knowing that they do not do body work. My problem was simply having to do with putting a plastic protector on the wheel well to protect it from the engine compartment. I stopped him from talking any further and asked him to change his tone because he was acting rude for me not knowing exactly what types of service they provide when my service company told me to go there. Then he proceeded to say, "Ok, Boss". At that point I said that I needed to speak with a manager. He said that he was the manager. I said that was a pity and that he needed to learn how to talk to people in a respectful way. Just terrible way to treat anyone.

i wanted to avoid this but I can't anymore. last year I took my cars here for service and breaks. Well service wasn't done in one, even after it was paid for. Then turns out after 3 months of having my car for breaks. The breaks never got changed. several attempts to make it right with two locations and the district manager. He was rude, made promises he didn't keep and I'm very dosap in the lack of customer service at that level. I had to have my card company do a charge back for almost $3,000 in services paid for and not completed.

I originally worked with Vince at Car Advise who was very helpful in finding a car shop that could perform all my services. CarAdvise recommended CarX I dropped off my car at 8:45am. I asked the person who checked me in (Joe) if everything was able to be performed, particularly the transmission flush and refill. Joe assured me it's not a problem everything could be done.
About an hour or so later Joe called and told me my front brakes need to be replaced. That my new total would be $1100 with everything included, even the transmission flush. I said go ahead I'm ok with that pricing, considering my initial total was $849 front brake replacement for additional $170 was fine. However when car advise sent me the work to approve, the transmission flush was cancelled by the shop. I called Car Advise because I was beginning to suspect something was wrong. The Car Advise reps that spoke to the mechanic at Car X even mentioned the guy seemed very upset. I cancelled all service except for an oil change, air filter change, and a coolant flush.
After I spoke to the Car Advise staff, I called a local car dealer that would complete the work for a reasonable rate if I got the car into the shop by 4:30pm, they would complete work by Saturday afternoon. I immediately called Car X to see when the car would be ready. Joe at Car X told me 3-4 hours. He was very upset and had a rude tone with me, as if he wasn't going to help whatsoever. I asked him if he hadn't started work to just cancel the order and I didn't feel comfortable with someone so irate working on my car. I explained my point of view and reminded him he told me he could do the transmission no problem.
Immediately after we got off the phone, I received a text message from Car Advise telling me the car was ready for pick up. Because of the interaction I just had with the mechanic (Joe) I wanted to make sure that was the case. A Car Advise rep called that shop and described Joe as "spicy". 20 minutes after I got off the phone with Car Advise, Joe from CarX called to tell me the car was ready. They replaced a service sticker on my car saying that service is due by 6/16/2023 or @ 80144 miles which is the day I brought my car to the shop and my current milage. Clearly this disgruntled mechanic did not perform any services on my car. Joe made me sign a waiver before giving me my keys regarding a car inspection and if there are any issues the shop has no liability.
After this entire ordeal I've been advised by the car dealership I brought my car to that no oil change was done (still had old oil filter), no air filter was replaced (car had old dirty VW air filter), and no coolant flush had been done. Even if the oil change was done, the invoice had the wrong oil type that isn't compatible with my car! Stay away from this sketchy place! I ended up spending over $1,200 at the car dealership to have everything corrected.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Victor, Joe and the entire team at Car-X really took care of me. They completed two free of charge inspections and were honest with their findings. They got me in same day for both and took the time to explain what was going on. As someone who relies on experts for car advice, I never felt like they were trying to exaggerate issues or find something that wasn't there. I will be taking my van back to the team for anything I need going forward and highly recommend their shop to the neighborhood. Friendly, kind, good people here!

I came in with a half hour left before they closed needing a new battery. Most places would have told me to come back the next day, but they replaced my battery with time to spare at a reasonable price.

My car began acting up while on the expressway near Irving Park. I went to the CarX at 3244 W Irving Park and the manager was amazingly caring. Sam, the manage, made me feel comfortable and assured me that he would help me as best he could. He explained the problem with the car and possible options. Sam took my car right in and it was repaired within a few hours. I definitely recommend this shop.

Scheduled an appointment to have my car serviced , the guy over the phone said no problem bring it in, when I arrived they refused to service my car. What's the point of making an appointment if they won't honor it? Take your business elsewhere, it is clear they are not professionals and a bunch of liars!
