Car detail appt was for 9am. Ran errands around the area and 4 hours later my car was still at the same parking spot. Horrible customer service. If you schedule your customers for a certain time, get the job done in a timely manner and don't waste their time!!

Overall: installation services were quality, but expensive with extra fees I'm pretty sure are just to boost profits. Technician who did my installs did a great job, was easy to work with, and friendly. I'm not a fan of Car Toys' practice of charging up front based on estimated labor with no accountability for how long the job actually took. I suspect (but can't prove) I paid for more labor hours than was needed. In both of my installs Car Toys did not call me as promised to tell me the job was done.

I initially had Car Toys install a backup camera in a Honda Fit that I purchased separately off Amazon. I paid $308 for this install (2 hours of labor @ $140/hr) plus tax. They tried to add a 15% surcharge for "incidentals" like solder and tools. I pushed back on this and they dropped that charge. They told me they would call in 2 hours when the job was done. I called three hours later and they said the car was ready to go. I can't help but suspect this job took an hour or less. It would take me 2+ hours, but I'm not a pro. Someone who does this every day could probably knock this out much faster. It would build trust if CarToys accounted for the time they spent on your vehicle and the final receipt included check in and check out times plus a credit for any unused labor. I'm not accusing Car Toys of overcharging, just suspecting they could be because of the lack of accountability.

A few days later the camera they installed failed (it got wet and wasn't waterproof). This is not CarToys fault, but nevertheless the $300 I had already spent was a complete waste. I decided to go ahead and buy a new Apple Carplay system with backup camera from Car Toys and have them install it. This eliminates potential for finger pointing between installer and manufacturer. My experience with this install was similar. This time they would not back out the 15% fee so I paid an extra $65 over their already hefty hourly fee to have this setup installed. I highly disagree with this practice. It is clearly profit padding. There is aboslutely no way CarToys incurred any significant expese over what I paid for individually (wiring harness, brackets, etc.). I just don't buy this - but I'm only taking off one star for this because they did disclose up front and I agreed to the fee (really didn't have a choice, but I could have gone elsewhere where competitors likely do something similar). Again no phone call or accounting for how much time was spent on the actual install. I told the sales rep I would pick up the vehicle the next morning and it was ready to go when I arrived.

Despite my complaints for the 15% rate surcharge and the lack of accountability on the time spent on my vehicle, overall I think Car Toys did a good job and I'm happy with the result. In both cases they were able to do the work same day and the work was done on time (even if I didn't get a call to tell me it was done).

I took my car here with a Groupon for an interior detail. I chose the Signature package. I've never had my car detailed, it's a 2016, so as you can imagine, it was bad.
I can't believe my car now. It's like a new car. It's just incredible how good of a job they did.
It took longer than I thought but it was worth the extra time and the seats had to dry out. They do hot water extraction, and makes it look brand new.
The customer service was excellent. Gus was helping me and couldn't ask for a nicer more competent guy.
There was a comfy waiting room and with Mercury coffee and restaurants around it across the street, you can't go wrong.
I highly recommend this location for car detailing. I think it was worth every penny.

Totally Is a scam , Had them do a checkup on my stereo and charged me 600$ for labor without taking care of anything. Wish the door gonna close soon.

I bought a 2010 Tacoma TRD after I totaled my 2004 Tacoma TRD extended cab last year and was fairly pleased at first with the factory JBL premium audio system in it. I discovered shortly after that the Toyota JBL audio is not customizable or able to be modified and the wiring doesn't really allow the owner or end user to do much with.

After I replaced the factory JBL speakers and Toyota head unit myself, I took the truck back to Car Toys in Bellevue to swap out the factory amp and sub with a new Alpine amp supplied and dual 10" subwoofer they sold me. Dakota (senior installer) did the work and also wired my new off road lights to a dual fog and off road light switch assembly in the dash. While this kind of work isn't cheap, they did a good job and communicated with me throughout the install job and provided me multiple options. Pretty happy with how everything turned out here.

We purchased an RV and Car Toys had installed 18,000.00 worth of Bluetooth Audio Equipment. When we turned the TV on-no sound! So, we took to the Bellevue Car Toys and spoke to the very person who installed it in 2021! Said no problem he could fix it! Had to schedule an appointment! Needed it all day! So we brought it back and they had it for 7 hours! No fix-but charged us 400.00 for labor! What a scam! Don't go here! Would give them a minus rating if I could!

I reached out to this location to build custom door and pillar panels for a sound quality system they were able to do the work it sounds better than my home stereo system. Stuart and Cristian we're able to deliver what I wanted

My car was broken, smashed and completely destroyed but i took it to car toys and they repaired it in under 10 minutes for only $30. if i could rate this place over five stars i would for sure. i love car toys sooooo much they even changed the color a little bit which i love. If you ever have a problem go to Car Toys!

Absolute SCAM. I prepaid for a $329.00 stereo and $150 speakers with free installation. When my son arrived they claimed they forgot a special wire bundle which was going to be $300, + they added another 2 hours labor to hook up blue tooth and hands free speaker controls. After they started, they said the speakers would not fit and they did not have any in stock. So, they took the speakers off the bill but I still ended up paying $1100.00 for a free installation $329.00 stereo. This was more than the original prepaid invoice. Total upselling, scam the owner once their car is apart. If I had been there instead of my son, I would have got the car and walked away and taken them to small claims court. These guys are crooks and criminals!!!!!
