Went through the drive through. Quick and great service. The sandwich was double loaded with fish so so good plenty of coleslaw and hot sauce and the fried okra was just right. The sweet tea topped it right off!!

The employees were nice and friendly; I haven't experienced that in a while, so I was pleasantly surprised. The food was hot and didn't take long at all. Great job y'all!!

Until my past few experiences here, I would have given Captain D's five stars, relative to what they are. They are a fast food restaurant specializing in cheap seafood. Going in with that mindset, you get what you pay for. You can't expect a five star Michelin experience for under $10, at a place with a drive through window. I used to cross town once or twice a month for many years to eat here. Sadly, it is barely once a month, as the service has gone downhill, the quality has gotten to be substandard, and, the serving sizes have gone down- instead of getting a full section for your side, only a fraction of the container is filled.
Usually, I'd order the fish sandwich, or small fish plate. It would come out piping hot, with a crispy light batter. Add a bit of their tarter sauce, and it was a cheap, unhealthy meal that satisfied a craving. I'd enjoyed getting a plate of just sides, as well, for a vegetable plate. It was faster here, than going to the cafeteria, and, the food was well seasoned, and portion sizes used to be a standard average- not the fraction they are now
Recently though, the food has been coming out at the wrong temps- the salad at room temperature or warmer, hence the blown up ranch dressing packet, the fish very cold in the center, the slaw lukewarm with a twang as if it was bad (so I didn't risk eating it, and the manager was on her cell phone, and I did not want to wait longer than I already had to alert her), the okra stone cold and skimpy in serving size, and even the ice seemed to melt within minutes on a day with the temps barely reaching the 30's. As my pictures show, the ranch dressing looks ready to explode when touched, and had a firm build up of gases. It was my fault for not noticing til I had already made the U-turn back on Cone, going back in the opposite direction.
The service has also gone downhill. As mentioned before, I like their fish sandwich. It took the cashier fifteen minutes of searching for it on the register, before asking for help, to ring it up with a side salad. Thankfully, it was not during peak hours, so other customers were not inconvenienced. No apologies for my time, or anything. I had to tell her I wanted the salad and a cup of water- as she hit the total, assuming I was just getting the sandwich. It was half true, as the salad was to go, for dinner that night, while the sandwich was to eat in. The cashiers just have not been friendly or all that bright over the past six months to a year. Before, at least you'd get a genuine smile.
Another point of contention is that they didn't send me my birthday coupon this year. That's probably corporate's doing, rather than the local store's but, it still remains a fact.
UPDATE: As Captain D's suggested, I did contact corporate with the contact info they provided. However, I never got a response back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Picked up an order for someone at the office, so I took the opportunity to try at couple of lunch specials here. One was Fried Shrimp/Fried Fish Combo with slaw, HPs, & FFs, and their Catfish Fillet Lunch, with same sides.
Nothing was bad, but nothing was much above ordinary either - like a tier or 2 below a chain like Long John Silver. The fish, for example, in both lunches had a thick batter that dominated the taste, covering up in real fish flavor. It is cheap, several "full" meals at $5.
They have a drive thru window.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Candace S.Milpitas, CA782457Jun 5, 2016
Oh my goodness! The deep fried fish and fries were very greasy...This is probably the first time that we both left the fries. Sadly, it was not because we were full... :(
I don't understand how come the fries can be this bad.
They were like absorbing A LOT OF oil....
The fish is barely acceptable. At least, I could finish two pieces of the fried fish, but not more.
If you think McFish is bad, the friend fish here is worse.
About the hush puppies.... They were greasy as well....personally, I think the cook out's hush puppies are much better than here!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Terry G.Winston-Salem, NC37712Dec 5, 2017
Cold broccoli, corn on Cobb cold. Long time to get order. No soap in bathrooms. 93grade. Health dept needs to close this dump down.

The service was very slow. Only one other lady in the entire restaurant waiting for her food and we waited for at least 7 minutes when there were no other people in line. She took the customers in the drive thru's order before ours. We tried ordering the "fish and shrimp", but the lady barely knew her menu. She took 3 minutes to find the "fish and shrimp" on the menu shouting "i can't seem to find it on the menu!". There were also very few workers who looked very unprofessional. The restaurant was also very filthy especially the bathrooms. I do not recommend this place i would rather eat at wendy's or mcdonald's across the street. Trust me, it will be the best decision for you.

Worst service ever, we waited over 25 mins for our food it never came out. It was so embarrassing because my father was visiting from ca and we took him out for lunch. Worst customer service. Very ignorant workers don't care about their customers at all we did not even get an apology for all the trouble

Cold unsatisfying food. This place should've been closed a long time ago! The fish I ordered was cold, the fries were cold, and the drinks were flat. This use to be one of my favorite fast food places, but I think it's time to put this place out of its misery!
