Had a wonderful experience here! I've seen shows throughout Broadway, Boston theaters, Orlando theaters and so on. This theatre was clean, well kept, comfortable, and architecturally very cool.
The show was spectacular, too, which helped. Decent prices and an extremely friendly staff!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 13, 2015
Came here with the fiance to watch BalletMet's Dracula. The theatre itself is fairly standard and nothing to complain or brag about (well-kept, clean, classy, and modern albeit a bit small), but they really need to do something about their parking lot. The attendant gave us completely the wrong instructions, and we ended up at some dead-end route with no parking spots and almost missed the beginning of the show!

Saw Cherish the Ladies. They were great. Really great. The Theater had some issues though. The concession stand was poorly understaffed resulting in long delays. And they also had lighting issues. Whoever was doing the lighting had an off night. The acoustics are fantastic.

I went to the Capitol Theater for the first time last night to see Dracula. I was so excited because it was my first contemporary ballet and for me part of the experience of going to the ballet is the theater. I'm used to the Ohio Theater or the Palace and this was nowhere near that. I felt like I was waiting for a Powerpoint presentation to start at my old desk job. You're going to sit on fold up office chairs and I'm pretty sure this doubles as a meeting space for people in the Riffe Center. I really hoped I could look past it and get into the performance more but this theater completely sucks half the life out of any performance going on there. (No pun given the ballet we saw) I will actually go out of my way not to come here again if I can help it. I must be spoiled, I need the velvet and ornate architecture. *shrug*
