This place is off the beaten path but still remarkably close to Pacific Coast Highway. You kind of have to know it's there to find it. I've driven and walked by a few times but it was always closed. Today I made a point to stop by during business hours and I'm so glad I did. It's packed full of treasure from what I assume were antique auctions or estate sales and the like. It's bustling with gorgeous furniture, eclectic art from all eras, various glassware and other housewares and some things that even took me by surprise such as an old fur coat and vintage costume jewelry. The owner, Arlene, was a delight and I told her I will be back to buy a painting I just can't stop thinking about.

Nan and Pop's shop! The best antique shop in SoCal, by far, written up in Luxe magazine and local papers for their selection and style - owned and operated by two truly visionary artists/designers who KNOW their stuff! And they keep it real - affordable treasures galore and such a warm, inviting, and stylish interior! Everything from vintage jewelry to mink and fox fur coats, a WIDE selection of chandeliers, lamps and other lighting delights!
THey are welcoming and helpful, no snobbishness here! A family-owned bix to the core, we spent hours in here and left with tons of goodies without spending a fortune,a nd felt good about supporting such a fabulously wonderful pair of human beings. I love this place, bring a friend and some spending $ and HAVE FUN! :)Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Katy B.Newport Beach, CA148Jul 24, 2016Updated review

May 29, 2016Previous reviewwhat a fun, ecclectic shop. an old time this and that antique and vintage shop that is very well curated by the owner....no thrift shop junk here. wonderful furniture at ridiculously low prices. we bought a $3500 table for $300. and several decor items at about 80% off the store prices.. we try to go in every week to see whats new

Just came by at 3pm on a Thursday and they're closed... Not even a "closed early" sign... Unfortunately not adhering to posted hours is a definite deal breaker for me.

Arlene, the owner and interior design maven of Cannery Exchange offers some of the most unusual, reasonably priced antiques in So Cal. I asked her for help designing the powder room in my home. She suggested a one of a kind black and gray grained, heavy marble wash bowl that she paired with an intricately carved, rich red and black Chinese cabinet. We had the bowl converted into a wash basin and secured it on top of the Chinese cabinet. I have decorated several multimillion $ homes in OC and LA, spending big bucks on interiors. Yet, as high end as the furnishings are in my present home, the piece that most of my guests comment about is the converted bowl and cabinet that I bought from Arlene. And I payed a pittance for it! Arlene has a rare gift for spotting a diamond in the rough, and transforming it in to a dazzling piece of art. She and husband Len are a couple of knowledgable, cordial gems. They seem to enjoy visitors to their store, taking the time to answer questions and offer design suggestions if you want them. Give yourself the gift of a visit to the Cannery Exchange.
