Biggest amusement park near the Toronto area! Great rides, food, and excitement for people of all ages. I admire that there are events during different seasons - Christmas, Halloween, and the usual spring/summer schedule. I used to visit as a child with my parents and now I bring my children here. The funnel cakes are popular and there is a children's area as well for those families looking for family friendly experiences.

I think overall we had a great time, but we'd make adjustments for next year to avoid just how bad this place is for our wallets.
Maybe everyone already knows how much of a cash grab this park is, but as early 30-somethings we didn't realize how bad it had become.
Everything is horribly marked up, everything. I'm not sure it's too bad if you have small kids, because some things are discounted or free.
The Food:
------
Not great. The subway my wife and I had was terrible, way less filling and way more expensive. 0/10 would not recommend.
The Dip n' Dots were just the best, nostalgic cup of childhood. It was great and I remember for a while the park didn't have any. So it was really nice to have them again next to the Coke cool zone. That being said, next time I'm having them after the rides.
The Rides
------
Pretty fun. I had the horrible realization that I wasn't always brave on rides and might have struggled to get on the teacups. Maybe.
But once I did, I realized how much I loved rides and we went on a good chunk of them. Nightmares was the best and also a nightmare. If you stand on the outside part, it kind of feels like you're going to get thrown out of the ride and die.
Tea cups were my favourite. We went on them like 6 times, despite the fact that the cups have no cushion and hurt a lot.
Overall:
It's all fun, but expensive. Next time we're eating beforehand and finding a better food alternative.
7.5/10 fun but pricey.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 23, 2023Updated review
Had a blast at Wonderland last Saturday (August 19)! Way better than last year. Most of the big rides were up all day. Here are my tips for the ultimate time: Get there early! We hit the gates at 10 am and was on the Leviathan ride in just 30 mins. If you've got a season pass or a corporate hookup, you can access at 9 am, even hit up Leviathan multiple times in a row like my friend did.
Mornings are for the big rides--Leviathan, Behemoth, Yukon Striker. We were able finish it along with a couple other smaller rides on a Saturday morning. Once you hit the afternoon onwards those rides are around an hour wait or longer on a Saturday so fast lane pass is your best bet. I think the best value wait to thrill level has to be the Wilde Beast ride, a classic wooden roller coaster that isn't as shiny and tall as the new ones but still fun. Downloading the Wonderland app is essential, trust me. You can check wait times, snag fast passes, and sort your food situation. Food deal alert: Packages start at $32, allowing you to order an entree/snack every 90 mins. Total steal and share-friendly.
We checked out the limited time Taste of Brazil--food, drinks/cocktails, live music. Meals start at 4 tastes for $34. I had instead the corporate lunch this year and it was a letdown. Waited like 45 mins for ribs and poutine, line was a mess, and just 1hr to eat. They ran out of fries clogged up the line and people took long to build their poutine. We bailed on the lineup and just ate the burgers and hot dogs instead. Any corporate event planners, avoid picking the add-on poutine option, the fried chicken and ribs moved faster.
Catch the circus show at Medieval Faire (30-mins), but show up early. We barely got in 10 mins earlier than the 6pm start, latecomers missed out.
Funnel cake! Pricey at $18ish, but worth. The one near the entrance is hefty and better than last year's at another location inside. Skip the end-of-day rush for it though.
$99 golden pass alert until Sept 5/2023, season pass for 2023+2024, plus Halloween Haunt and Winter Wonderland. What a deal. However, parking is quite steep at $30, so use public transportation or carpool is best.
In short, Wonderland's a blast. Better than last year. Food, rides, shows--epic day guaranteed if you start your day early.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Aug 23, 2022Previous reviewWonderland is a yearly tradition that I love and is usually great... So I'm torn, do I give a review of my recent experience? I think so, so you get an idea what's up. My visit on Sat/Aug 13, is not so great; honestly, if I were a tourist, I would be let down if I happened to come only that day. Download the Wonderland app and monitor the wait times. It will show you the current wait times of their popular rides and shows. It is more or less accurate within 10mins. The main issue is that half the waterpark and rides (that I wanted to go on) were constantly down due to "technical issues." The funnelling of guests to a few water slides and rides increases wait times. Here I imagine one ride mechanic running around fixing everything as they pop up like whack-a-mole. The rides that were down included Leviathan, the Bat, and Drop zone and more on rotation.
I arrived and enjoyed a corporate Wonderland lunch buffet as a plus one before jumping on the rides in the afternoon. The food is wonderful and if your company has this program, take advantage of it! Just make sure you get there on time as they close promptly for the next group. From the afternoon to evening the newest ride, Yukon Striker, is estimated consistently 80 min wait, Behemoth 60min, Leviathan was like 60min wait (if it's not down). Is the morning a better bet with shorter lines and more operational rides? Likely? Better yet, take a day off work and go on the weekday. If you're willing to splurge and into roller coasters, fast pass is your best bet and you can even upgrade inside (not sure if the rates are different inside though).
We decided to go to the water park instead and hoped the lines die down after. We faced more lines at the waterpark since more than half the water slides weren't operating. Leviathan was finally working at the end of the night, so we decided to go line up just to have been told that it was down 30mins before the park closed. We were able to quickly switch over to Dropzone, which opened up at the end and at least squeezed in one more ride before the end of the night.
Tip: Grabbing a funnel cake at Wonderland is a must! I'm glad we avoided getting into another massive lineup at the end during park closing. The funnel cakes this year are smaller than before... used to be huge and able to share between 4. Now it seems like half the size. It is what it is with inflation, even for funnel cakes. Still tasty though! - Oct 6, 2023
Went here during Labour Day long weekend and it was packed!
Not a huge fan of roller coasters with big drops so we spent most of our time in the water park. The slides were fun, but the lineups were long. Unfortunately the wave pool wasn't operating the actual waves because there were so many people. I would come back to try the lazy river!
I did go on The Vortex and Thunder Run (my fave).
Despite the long lines (an hour each to get on a ride) I still had a thrilling experience.
Food wise, it is expensive eating at the park. We had pizza pizza and then burgers and hot dogs for dinner, which were not bad! If you have time to pack a picnic to have in the parking lot I would suggest it. They don't allow it inside the park though.
The fireworks at night were a nice touch at the end of a long day. Getting out of the parking lot afterwards though was a pain - took over an hour lol.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jul 4, 2023
Canada's Wonderland is an amusement park perfect for family. It's located in Vaughan, just north of Toronto, features more than 200 attractions including 18 roller coasters, two children's areas, and Splash Works, the 20-acre water park. It's like the equivalent of SixFlags.
It was my first time here and came during the 4th of July holiday weekend and spend the entire day. General admission and annual holder passes have fair prices. Majority of the lines for rides were relatively modest and moves pretty quickly. Food and drinks prices were quite expensive as well as their souvenir merchandise. Parking lot was massive. Overall, I had a memorable and fun time at this amusement theme park.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 5Oh no 0 - 164673359427Jul 21, 2023Updated review
Time for an update review after my first one in 2010!
I love going to Canada's Wonderland even after all these years.
There are so many more than just rides when you visit CW. There are shows, activities and different festivals.
Different celebrations including Canada's Day, Octoberfest, Kid's Event, Theme Tasting Weekend, Halloween, Christmas...
I usually come on weekdays, if you want to get on rides. For special occasions, the Park can be so crowded. Stay away when they have fireworks!
Season pass with meal/drink plans probably the best options if you will visit the park more than 3 times.
Food has improved a lot, especially with Lazy Bear Lounge opened last year (their smoked chicken is so good! and plenty of seating too!)
Now going to CW is part of my Summer's ritual. But yes, they open for Winterfest till end of December!Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 0Oct 14, 2010Previous reviewI am a fan of Wonderland, especially on a nice sunny autumn day with no lines!
I have not been to Wonderland for ages... ok make that a decade! So I have not been to a lot of the "Newer" rides. This makes my experience a lot more enjoyable.
I managed to get on the following rides:Flight Deck, Time Warp. Psyclone, BehemothX2, Blacklot Stunt Coaster, Sledgehammer and Drop TowerX2. and since there are no lines I managed to finish them in less than 3 hours.
They are all fun to be on. Make sure you have your eyes open and stop telling your friend you are scare, she is going to laugh at you! (Sherry T. I am talking to you)
Quite a few people threw up during the rides.. namely on Jet Scream and Blacklot Stunt Coaster. It is getting a little gross to see vomit on the seats and the floors. hmmmmm
The Funnel Cake though overpriced was as good as I remembered!! So good for sharing with your best buddy after all the excitements!
Wonderland does have end of season specials so if you don't use the waterpark and don't want to see the shows then come when the tickets are much cheaper..! - Walk W.Brampton, Canada21762May 5, 2023
Lets go they said, but the These rides got me screaming, laughing and head spinning !!
Had a great time with friends and family but as a person who doesn't do well with heights this was scary, adrenaline pumping and constant swearing.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sénior B.North York, Toronto, Canada057May 3, 2023
If you like being shoulder to shoulder all day in mass crowds and 4hr lineups for a single roller coaster, this is the place for you.
Also I hope you like lining up for everything, I mean everything! They let too many ppl into this zoo due to greed and it has lost all its magic from when I was a child. Be prepared to spend lots of money in this nightmare as well, and you'll receive little back from it. (Food is shite and overpriced, and beer is $14 and you don't even get the can, it comes in a plastic crap cup and gets as warm as coffee in 5mins)
Men, listen to me, the wife and kids are going to try to drag you here. Do whatever you can to try to get out of it, you'll enjoy not even one second of the day and you'll spend $400+gas+$25parking+food/drinks)Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - G M.Ancaster, Hamilton, Canada1145Aug 26, 2023
Fantastic day of fun!!! Took my kids for the first time. My partner and I haven't been here in years. There's so many new rides, and a lot of kid friendly rides in Planet Snoopy. We also enjoyed a magic show and water diving show! We spent the whole day here and the park is so big, we never ran out of things to do. Also!!!! My partner won a giant squirtle for me which was the cherry on top!! Logistically dont try to win it tho if you dont have room in your car lol. Just as we were about to drive home my MIL's car wouldn't start :'( This is when Arjun (security at wonderland) came to the rescue!!!! He had us fill a short form and then jump started her car. He helped us big time and stopped what could have turned into a sour night. Thanks again Arjun!!!

I went there yesterday and I loved my experience.
I reserved an All-Day pass for myself and it was pricey but worth it!
The visitors looked happy and excited after or before they went on the rides.
The staff were nice and always ready to help out.
The rides there were amazing and I liked the roller coasters especially the big ones like Dragon Fyre or Levathian.
The food there was good and I liked my time there.
The place was clean even though there were so many people!
I definitely will come back here again!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
