Cambridge Quilt Shop

Many times I have assumed, because this is such a small place, that they wouldn't have what I was after, but every time I stop by, I end up finding exactly what I need. I don't quilt, but I do sew, and I'm glad to have this shop close by. The staff is helpful, and they are always great about answering my questions and offering advice. Grateful to have them in the neighborhood!

They have a good selection and variety, though it's a small store. I would really like to support local businesses, but I don't think I'll be going back. The staff were a bit condescending--just because I am under 30 doesn't mean that I don't know anything! They treated me like a little kid who might break/dirty their products. I also overheard a staff member being pretty rude to another customer while I was in there.

That said this is one of the few places to get quality quilt fabric around here, and they will probably have anything you need. I give it two stars for service and four for quality.

I think I am in heaven every time I walk into the this Quilt Shop. The staff members are great, the range of fabrics are wonderful. I could go on and on... I have found fabric for multiple projects - toys, aprons, dresses, quilts - that I have not found elsewhere. I have walked in with questions and walked out with answers in hand. Not only is the staff wonderful, other shoppers also will come up with thoughts and ideas that supplement what has already been mentioned. Did I say that I'm in heaven in this shop?

So I first made a review of this quilt shop back on 9/12/06 and am editing it on 6/27/07. It is still a great shop, still everything I said above, and I am still in heaven in this shop... so what is new? I took a class! I have been having the BEST time taking classes here. A lot of fun, helpful instructors, and great classmates. Of course I did not choose the simplest quilt to do... but whatever... I have almost finished and am glad I took it!

I love this shop. I found them while looking for a quilting class, and I'm so glad that I did! Everyone there has been so incredibly cheerful, friendly, and helpful.

Check out shops when I'm out of town, because I find that different regions will carry a brand a little more heavily than others.
I browsed for quite awhile before anyone approached me to see if I needed help. That was fine with me because I like to look. I bought a couple of fat quarters.
There was a training going on and had an easy vibe.

A lovely selection of fabrics, great batting options, all the tools you could possibly need, patterns and books galore, fair prices, and a very nice staff. Love that I found this shop!!

I truly love the Cambridge Quilt shop and all that I learn from them every time I visit. The classes are really helpful and the people who join them are very welcoming and friendly for a newer quilter. Its getting harder and harder to find a good and well stocked local quilt or fabric shop and this is a real gem. My go to place when I have a partially finished something and need another fabric or a new idea. thanks Monica and Lynn!!

This shop is great! Besides having a great selection of beautiful fabrics, the ladies who own and run this store are fantastic! They are very knowledgeable and eager to help with any project, from scaling a pattern to picking just the right fabrics for a project.

I've also taken a class at the shop which was also great! The instructor was knowledgeable and was very patient with all of us beginners. She also did a great job at tailoring the next steps for each of us in the class since we were all moving at different rates. I definitely recommend classes here!

I went in today for the first time, and found some great fabric for a couple of projects. They have a large selection, and they offer classes. The staff was very helpful and answered all my questions. I just wish I lived closer!
