I am in a Masters Program at CCSJ. I have had a very good experience so far. The admissions process went smoothly. The business office is staffed with competent people. I often received emails that are tailored to me and not the entire student body. This is a fine level of service.
On the academic end, the courses have been rigorous and the instructors have been very qualified and knowledgeable. They seem to be experts in their respective fields. Many schools have tenured professors who are out of touch with their own fields. The professors here seem to know their stuff.
The "vertical" school as they term it is clean and modern. The parking lot is large so parking is not a hassle. There are nice areas for students to relax and food is available.
Returning to the business aspect of higher education, I have a doctorate degree from another institution and that school was excellent. However, they were always very aggressive in collecting tuition and fees. Here the college works with the students and tends to avoid the threatening demand letters. Ultimately, the school has to get paid and you will not graduate without paying your balance. It's nice though that the school doesn't send out the goon squad because you haven't cut a check for a technology fee or overdue library book.
I have about a year left here and I look forward to it. I would not hesitate to recommend Calumet College of Saint Joseph to anyway looking to further their education.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - John R.IN, IN01Nov 3, 2022
Was just a kinda lame college, they should just get better, no decorations, looked bland and mid.

Just another pointless conformity factory. If the underworked and overpaid public school teachers would do their jobs than there would be no need to pay tens of thousands more for what come to be nothing more than a glorified high school diploma. College is a waste of time and money, this one not proving to be the exception.

Excellent school. I received a great education from some of the coolest educators around. I recommend this school to ANYONE, especially if you're into the humanities.

This school is extremely expensive, but it's still pretty awesome if you can either afford it or get some kind of loans or grants too. The teachers are mostly real down to earth, or at least nice and friendly, not necessarily so much down to earth. The computer labs are cool. The library is excellent. It's not as large and pretty as Purdue Calumet, but if you like smaller classrooms so you feel more like grade school or high scool, instead of the overwhelming impersonable feel you can often get in alot of classrooms at Pudue Cal., this place may be the place for you. It's a Catholic school, and even has a Chapel, but you don't have to be Catholic or even religious in order to attend. It certainly has flaws, but it's a comfortable environment , and I enjoy it.
