Caliber Collision

Went here today for insurance estimate for bumper damage and separate estimate for other damage. I pointed out where dent was, as well as other previous damage on bumper and tailgate that I wanted repaired on separate out-of-pocket quote. He says, "well I'm not going to commit insurance fraud!" I said' "ok...I'm not asking you to commit insurance fraud, that other damage was mine and I want a separate quote to fix that. That's what I said when I called for appointment." Then we start talking about the dent related to claim, and twice again he says, "well I'm not gonna commit insurance fraud...". Now it's getting weird, and I'm getting annoyed. I said, "Look, can we knock it off with all the talk about insurance fraud. I'm not asking you to commit insurance fraud, I'm not accusing you of insurance fraud. How much is it to fix or replace the bumper?" He says, "well if that's your attitude then you can take your car elsewhere." I told him to get the F out of my way and I got in truck and left.

This place is a clown show...do not trust them with your vehicle.

Not happy with the insurance estimate originally done he upped it without talking to me first. That caused trouble. Then they gave out information about my car to someone other than my insurance company. When I protested that he talked over me denying it (lying). I hung up at that point so he told me to come get my car. Didn't even clean off all his markings. The lady who answers the phone is kind and patient, but the shop floor is horrible to deal with. I'd advise against the place. I had my car picked up within a few hours, and they hadn't even cleaned off marks they made all over it. Greedy, rude, unprofessional. Frequent at your own risk.

To buy parts at the junkyard. WHAT??!! Unbelievable but true. So many other great places to do business with. Please just say no. The lady that answered the phone chased away a good paying customer. 1 star is too many.

Knowledgable staff, accurate estimate and work was completed on time and to perfection.

Everything was fantastic from start to finish. I did not realize they were closed on Saturday, but they were working and came out and looked at my car anyways. On Monday I had an appointment and they took care of everything, including the rental car. They kept me up to date on the progress of the vehicle throughout the process. My car looks amazing and so was the service.

My car was hit by a motorcycle while parked.
I chose caliber collision to do the repairs. They had my car for 7 business day, they kept in contact with me almost daily. Repairs were done flawlessly.
I never dreamed this repair process could have ever been this smooth.
The staff at the Garden of the Gods location was so awesome to work with.... I have to give a shout out to Jess she was great to work with every step of the way.

Excellent work on my damaged CR-V. I called a Honda dealer and asked who they recommended to take my car to after sustaining damage when we hit a deer. They recommended Caliber Collision and we called the one off of Baptist Road. They did an excellent job on the repair and were helpful in explaining how to proceed.

Fit on the hood and fender was tight and uniform. The paint job matched very well

What a disappointment. We were rear ended, and USAA said that caliber was an approved shop. I scheduled an appointment to get an estimate. It was quite frustrating when I had an appointment and I waited longer to speak with an estimator than I did at the two other body shops, both of which I was a walk-in and didn't have an appointment. What's the point of having appointments if you're still going to make me wait. Already started off on the wrong foot.

I already had two other estimates, 1 was from another USAA approved shop, and the second was from another body shop that wasn't USAA approved.

Both other repair shops said that the tailgate needed to be replaced due to the extent of the damage and yet the estimator from Caliber insisted that the tailgate didn't need to be replaced, he also didn't look that thoroughly at it, he never bothered to look behind the license plate and kept telling me about the repairs was guaranteed and they'd fix it in the future.

Well I'm not interested in having to go through the hassle of having my car repaired again and I asked him to not even prepare an estimate because I wasn't going to have them to a cut rate repair on my car. When I called USAA to tell them I had chosen the competitor, I was told that Caliber had already been assigned the repair. We had to go through a few hoops to stop this, I wouldn't let them repair my car half heartedly and do a really cheap job for the insurance.

The reality is another USAA proved shop already wrote an estimate in which they said replace the tailgate, and yet a different shop who wasn't USAA approved also said to replace the tailgate.

We ultimately decided to go with the other USAA approved shop since the scope of work matched and it is simpler dealing with them. But overall very disappointed in Caliber they wanted to do a cheap repair that wouldn't have restored my to the condition it was in prior to the accident, and I likely would have had issues a few years down the road. I would be very weary of these guys. Personally I always get at least 3 estimates, and when 2 estimates had the same scope of work, that established what is the proper procedures, and Caliber had a cut rate job. I don't even know how much they were charging because I already knew I didn't want them, but was very disappointed that the service was poor and I feel as they were deceitful in requesting the information from USAA as I absolutely don't want them working on my car.

I hope that I'm never in need of a body shop again, but if I am, I won't even consider going to caliber, and would encourage others to abstain from them as well. Watch for a review in a few weeks after the repair is done on the competitor whom I chose to do the repairs.

Went in for an estimate to replace clips that hold a rear spoiler in place. Receptionist was grouchy, then took 20+ minutes to have someone come out and look at my car, although three employees were in their offices on computers not helping anyone else.
Took another 15 minutes to get a quote. Woman said they can't get just the clips from Honda, need to order an entirely new spoiler with clips, quote was $1000+ and can't get in for 3 weeks (the spoiler is a one hour job).
Went to a different collision repair place and they said no problem, we can get just the clips to reattach the spoiler, not sure why Caliber told you they couldn't, we use the same system! $130 and they'll fit me into the schedule in 2 days!

Update to owners response: Your quote was $1100 because you said you have to buy the spoiler and clips together, THIS IS A LIE! I went to Service King Collision...they said there's nothing wrong with the spoiler, I only need clips to attach it. I left there, as good as new, for $130! Please stop with the excuses!

I took my car to Caliber on Copper Center Parkway. RIck worked with me and was very helpful and was great on keeping me informed. He worked very hard to keep the costs down. The people in the office were always professional when I went in or spoke to them. The work on the car was very good and I was pleased. They helped set up my rental and worked with me very much, given I was paying the repairs out of pocket. While some might not feel they are a good shop, my experience is that they did what they said they would do as quickly as they could and they did good work for as reasonable as price as they could. I would recommend them.
