Looks can be deceiving, meaning the appealing exterior and interior, which are quite charming. I arrived before noon to partake of their all-day breakfast, brunch as a first-timer. The staff were delightful and an oozed a warmth not found in the food or taste, specifically the original pancakes or bacon. The pancakes arrived cold and as if they were prepared hours earlier. While I sent them back, the second attempt was poorly executed again. Slightly warmer but again the butter struggled to melt or play its role. But, this time overcooked the pancakes were overcooked. They lacked any flavor, which is probably why they sell the fruit flavored alternatives. The bacon appeared cold, and leftover from the morning. I am a breakfast lover and as my grandmother said, "it is hard to mess up breakfast," but they did. I appreciate their kindness and attempt to rectify the request. Lovely people, however, this breakfast lover will explore a new experience. Just one person's POV.

We visited Cafe Bastille on our last morning in Miami. It was within walking distance of our hotel (about 15 minutes away). It was already busy when we got there around 10:00, but we were quickly seated and still had the option to sit inside or outside. They have less seating inside, but a large area on the sidewalk with tables. We ended up sitting inside. It's really cute inside. The decor is very charming.
We ordered two American coffees to start (espresso with hot water). And because we were in a French cafe, we had to order a croissant to start. We shared the pistachio one. It was beautiful. It had green stripes on it and a creamy pistachio filling.
I ordered the French breakfast burrito for my entree. A breakfast burrito isn't something I would normally order at a French restaurant, but this one was wrapped in a crepe instead of a tortilla, so I had to try it. It was delicious and came with two sauces for dipping, one spicy and one not. You could order a protein inside the burrito, so I opted for sausage. It also came with a side salad, which surprised me. But that was also good, with a good, vinegar-based dressing.
Service was great. Our server Ignacio was very friendly and attentive.
Before we left, I wanted to use the restroom. They were a bit awkward to get to. You have to walk past the kitchen and expeditor area. There were two single restrooms and probably needed a little attention.
When we left, the tables both inside and outside were completely full and there was a lot of people waiting. We came at a good time.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Apr 11, 2024Updated review
I recently visited this popular downtown brunch spot and enjoyed the atmosphere. The service was attentive and friendly, although I found the prices to be a bit steep. Overall, it's a good place for an elevated brunch experience.
However, the food was mixed. I ordered the avocado toast, which was tasty but disappointingly small for the price of $22. While the quality was good, I expected a more generous portion size. On the other hand, the croissant breakfast sandwich exceeded my expectations--it was filling, delicious, and definitely worth reordering, although priced at $19.
We also indulged in some mimosas and coffee. Unfortunately, the coffee fell short of expectations for a cafe; it tasted rather poor. However, I've had better coffee here on previous visits, so it may have been a one-off bad batch.
Despite the mixed review on the food, I believe this place is worth trying. I would consider returning and exploring different menu options.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Dec 17, 2023Previous reviewSuper cute cafe. The main brunch place recently added an additional space beside it for more of a quick cafe feel. I didn't eat any of the food but the croissants looked 'out of this world'. I need to try one but need to work up to the calories and sugar. I ordered an americano and it was just average. Nothing amazing. It was a bit expensive at $5.40. The service was great. Very polite. Place is really busy but they worked fast. I would definitely go back and try some snacks and probably give the coffee another shot.

Charming brunch spot downtown. Food was tasty and our server was friendly! Also our server was the first person to point out the 20% included tip that seems to be standard at all restaurants here in Miami. So I really appreciate the transparency!
My only complaint is that the plate the croissant was served on was too small, I sort of had a difficult time cutting it. The wooden board is a cool idea but just give me a plate.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - 54840Apr 3, 2024
Perfect brunch place ! Everything was delicious and fresh .
Our waiter Edward was very nice and welcoming . The croissants were very yummy and tasteful , I had the pistachios one and it was on point with my taste buds . My hubby loved his cappuccino. My crepe burrito was also very good , I have zero complaints! Very much recommendedHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Giovonni S.Towson, MD563648Apr 22, 2024

This place is an absolute must-visit, with its charming chamomile design and bustling morning street vibe. The white and green color scheme adds to the lively atmosphere. The food is amazing, and the coffee is of exceptional quality. My only regret is not grabbing one of their French croissants to go.
Run by a French couple, this gem in the heart of Miami exudes European style. It was truly one of the best brunch experiences ever!Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Feb 13, 2024
This place is a vibe!
I love the outdoor seating, it really is in such a pretty part of the city. The food was delicious and not too expensive for the city. The service was fast and attentive. Overall I would definitely go again & I recommend you go on a weekday as weekends get very busy hereHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 5, 2024
Super cute breakfast spot in downtown Miami! We came on New Year's Day and it was very crowded but we were seated after waiting about 15 minutes. Their menu is extensive but not overwhelming; they have something for everyone.
I had a Mediterranean omelet with gluten free bread (looked like a bun/bagel) -- it was amazing. I appreciate GF options!!!
Parking can be tough - there are a few street spots that were full, or a garage next to it but it's ~$14 an hour. We parked a few blocks away by the Intercontinental for $7 an hour.
Highly recommend stopping here for bfast !Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0
