    About the Business

Driade is Italian for the Greek word Dryad, which in that mythology is the spirit that lives in a tree, in essence, a wood nymph. This Espresso bar, Teahouse and Wine bar shows a combination of magic and the highest quality that make it a superior place to escape and unwind. The beautiful gardens and patios at Driade blend seamlessly into the surrounding old growth woods for an atmosphere that is truly unique. Coffee is from local Roaster, Carrboro Coffee Roasters who emphasize Farmer Direct relationships and decades of cutting edge expertise in making each unique coffee shine. Captivating art is displayed and changes monthly, and live music can be enjoyed by candlelight outside from May thru October. The Espresso, brewed coffee, whole leaf tea and large assortment of other drink offerings (including the famous Driade shake!) are perfectly suited to pair with the luscious baked goods, both savory & sweet. A select choice of premium cigars in the humidor will delight the aficionado, and the wine and beer menu is as carefully sourced as the coffee and features top-notch bottles and glass pours. Drop into Caffe Driade, which is comfortably nestled back off of Franklin street, and enjoy the epicurean delights that have been featured on the Food Networks show. Driade is a gem of a find, where Europeans seek a feeling of home and locals bring their friends in order to impress.

A true gem! I had an excellent latte and scone. Beautiful natural outdoor seat. My husband had a coffee and almond croissant. Both were very good.

If you want to see what draws people to Chapel Hill, this coffee shop will give you that opportunity. You will see the forest biking/walking trails. Seating is limited inside so mostly outdoor seating.

We came in at the wrong time since there were a couple of families ahead of us so we didn't get our orders until 20 minutes later.

I had the harvest latte and it was made poorly. I didn't taste the spices and it was so bitter. So we got the view, but I did not get a good cup of coffee.

Saw this coffee shop on "Raleigh_on_a_budget" 's Instagram page and added it to my bucket list! This place is quaintly tucked away in the woods on a private trail with plenty of places to sit- being that seating is outside there are heaters to keep you warm in the winter months! Coffee is average and well priced- atmosphere makes up where the taste may lack. Plenty of pastry and food options with friendly faces to serve you.

Coffee is pretty fantastic and so is the atmosphere. Lovely spot for an afternoon date, especially if you enjoy nature. Definitely check out the trails out back. Parking isn't always easy, so I'd advise carpooling or walking to this shop from one of the trails. Barista was helpful and nice, even though she was juggling a lot.

Fantastic coffee, friendly efficient service, and incredibly unique location with a fantastic outdoor area surrounded by trees, trails, and just an overall great spot to casually hangout when the weather allows. There is some seating available inside but the outdoor area is truly superb with benches, tables and chairs scattered all around. Would highly recommend, and will try to return if their parking allows for it.

I came with two friends on a weekday morning after hearing great things about this cafe. Finding the building was a bit challenging since it's hidden away, but it only added to its charm.

I ordered the brown sugar oat milk latte and one of my friends ordered the pink matcha latte (hot). The brown sugar oat latte was delicious - but I added a little simple syrup because I like things sweet. The pink matcha latte was very cute in presentation and tasted slightly sweet and tangy.

All of the seating was outdoors and underneath a bunch of trees, so there were a lot of bees and other bugs around. Good thing we brought bug spray!

This cute cafe is seated off of Franklin st and nestled in the forest. I ordered the brown sugar oat latte iced and it was delicious! However, it was $7.48 for 12oz and that was prior to tipping. It was definitely on the pricier end even for chapel hill.

For visitors, I would say definitely check out the Bolin creek greenway trail that's behind the cafe it's a nice place to take a walk with your coffee. Or even to read a good book.

This place is amazing! I love their coffee beans and the oat milk that they serve. They had lots of different varieties but the thing that really blew me away was the location. They are connected to the Greenway so we were able to get a drink and they had a wonderful path to access the greenway and so we were able to walk and talk and make an event out of just getting coffee. Everyone was amazing when we were getting our coffee drinks and it was super fast. There were multiple different sections of the building so you could sit outside or inside or in an in between room. I will definitely be coming back many more times.
