Café Zupas

A word about soup. Good soup is like a good hug. It wraps you up completely, but instead of constricting you it makes you feel like you're free. It lights up your imagination with possibilities and warms you fully, totally and completely. Good soup, like a good hug, holds the promise of every cozy winter day spent by the fire and every expression of comfort you can imagine. When you find that one, perfect bowl of soup you've been waiting for you just can't help but exclaim, "It's really you!"

Well, soup fans. It's probably not coming from Cafe Zupas. But the chances of always having that soup are pretty slim, so you might duck in here for something that keeps your belly warm until you can get back to grandma's chicken noodle or that clam chowder by the wharf that you're looking for.

As for me, I'm not so sure I'm sold on the substitute soup. Sure, there's plenty of variety here--tomato basil, clam chowder, Mexican tortilla, bisques (a wild mushroom that's kinda tasty), and chili. With it being soup season I suppose I'll pop in eventually and try out a few flavors. But I dunno if I'll be exclaiming, "It's really you!" about any of their flavors.

If soup's not your thing, they do have a bunch of salads, sandwiches, paninis, and some desserts that were screaming my name more than anything. Dessert is a whole other subject (I'm off desserts of any kind for a while--not because I don't love them, but because I over-indulged and it's going to be a looong while before it will be healthy for me to think about them again) but between the cheesecake, regular cakes, and other chocolate/fruit/sugared delights, there's plenty to choose from.

It's not likely you'll find the soup hug you've always longed for (that seems to always come when you least expect it and in surprising ways) but Zupas has got you covered for a quick, affordable soup pat on the back.

Stopped in for a quick lunch! Love the soups here! My husband ordered the power salad and it looked delicious! It was huge ! Place was clean and service was great!

Well the food was very good. Usually it always is at Zupas. I had ordered both sandwiches without tomato, and received them both with tomato. After waiting 20 minutes. However they remade them and it didn't take too long. The customer service this day was very slow and the person working the counter did not seem to know where he was. In a way I felt sorry for him and tried to be very patient. I think they may need better training in this location.

The food is amazing but I have literally been standing in line for 35 minutes and counting. I'm standing here as I'm writing this review. It's ridiculous. The line wasn't even outside of the rails. Maybe eight orders in front of me, if that. I'm very disappointed with this wait. My food is just sitting up here getting cold waiting to checkout.

Awful food, the service was a joke. No organization of the food coming off the line. Place was noisy and. Hard to hear them ask about orders and lots of confusion. Avoid this place. Not worth the hassle for sub standard food.

Ordered online with ready time of 5:37, wasn't ready until 6:05. There was only 3 people in line when we got there at 5:35. It would have been faster to just get in line. Zupas needs to get there app times figured out and just all around get their crap together.

Was in a rush to eat and jump on a conference call. This place appeared in my view.

Small line after the lunch rush and ordered, paid, got a fruit beverage and sat down 7 minutes later.

Food was delicious and light and satisfying.

For sure will come back and get a 1/2 salad soup combo.

hey guys! i love food from café zupas. but y'all have the slowest service ever at this location. i'm frequently dining here as i live less than two minutes away. the cashier needs to do their job and check people out for their purchases instead of jabbering away with a nearby coworker and there needs to be some sort of order here.

We love Cafe Zupas and this locations is the BEST! Angela and Justin were very fast and friendly! Our salads were delicious and the store was very clean and welcoming! The manager Mari is always very welcoming as well!

I asked the front counter worker if the tomato soup had any dairy she said "i don't think so". When I asked if there was any way she could find out she said "no I don't think so.." what?! The Cobb salad was the worst I had ever gotten from a Zupas restaurant 3 pieces of chicken and only half an egg. It's a good thing I had good experiences at other locations because this was such a turn off.
