I dropped in for a quick coffee and dessert, not expecting much. However, It turns out that Cafe Schwalbennest has very good coffee and an exceptional apple strudel, which was ample and delicious. The service is good and prices are reasonable. In addition, the cafe is SMOKE FREE, not the usual case in most cafes in Austria.

A great coffee place, well known from the locals in Graz!
It he café itself is several centuries old but had been renovated a few years back. In its new building, you'll feel comfortable and welcome right away.
They serve very good drinks (teas, coffees or chocolate base beverages...) and some breakfast or snacks too.
The nice surprise was that they have soy milk too, and their soy coffee latte is simply amazing! Hmmm...Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Visda G.San Francisco, CA8957108Apr 22, 2012
this cafe has a great location right at the Mur river. it has many seats outside and some inside. great for a sunny day to chill and enjoy the view. the coffee and pastries are also good. not a huge selection but good quality.

a special little place in the middle of the city.central location and the few spots on the tiny upstairs balcony are always sought after. excellent coffee and delicious cakes, homemade, on the menu. the waiters are friendly. definitely coming back here. the linzer torte is to die for ;-)
