Drek! I had high hopes for this place. It always seemed busy for brunch and it looked so cute hidden away among the trees with their big outdoor patio. But then I realized why they had that outdoor patio was because the inside is so old and deteriorating. Sad sign number one.

Then came the awkward service where the hostess didn't really notice my friend and I were waiting until we asked her where we should sit, then she took forever to come take our order, and then she rushed us when actually giving it to her. Good for her though, she did offer coffee right off the bat like she read my mind. I needed it and it was adequate.

My friend mentioned that she couldn't eat bread and perhaps if you wanted to be that picky about it we could've made it more clear that she had a flour allergy specifically but when ordering a spinach omelette one did not think there should be flour in it. One would think a spinach omelette would consist of fresh raw spinach then sautéed inside of eggs. Not expecting creamed spinach from a can with some type of flour-y cream drizzled on top of scrambled eggs. The hashbrowns were good, yet the side of fruit was really just four strawberries cut in half so that combined with your weirdo "spinach" omelette does not constitute $12, no thank you.

So close to giving it a pity two stars rating but I know that I will never return so I can't even do that, sorry just one star.

I made a list to try out restaurants, that I might be bringing my luncheon group for a luncheon gathering, all through the year. Cafe Du Berry was #1 on my list for 2024 to try out.

The seating was outside, with the heat & fan scattered about. We didn't plan on doing that, but luckily we're prepared wearing the correct attire, when we went there, since we've not been there before.

We discovered a large formal dining area on the second floor (restroom area) that was not used at the time we were there. It would have been cozier, if we ate upstairs, I avoided sitting near a heat/fan, since my hot flashes goes up or down any moment's time. But I did fine, outside! Hubby, on the other hand, wore his thick winter coat, all during our meal.

We ordered Crab Benedict, and Spanish Omelette. Both are huge! They came with hash brown potatoes, several types of fruit. The Spanish Omelette was wonderful, according to hubby 'like the Spanish Omelette I remember when I was a kid!' Also, we got a side of bacon, that was very, very tasty! The Crab Benedict was what I was craving for! We have the right amount of fruit. The OJ was also the right amount size for me. I think, my leftovers was even better the next day!

      The service was good, friendly.

The only negative, that I found, was there were cobwebs on the light fixtures in the restroom.

Came here with some friends for brunch and it was phenomenal! The cafe is on the corner of a busy street and has been here for nearly 40 years, making it a local favorite. Their is both inside and outside (covered) seating and both are great options. I went inside with my friends and it felt like family dining--very cozy and intimate, with an open kitchen.

My friends and I were all in the mood for benedicts, so we all (except one) tried them. Their portioning is so generous and all of the food tastes amazing, from the sauce to the freshness. We also got their french toast, which is a must try (what they're famous for). It's definitely different than the average french toast (more custardy), but very worth it. Service here is also so sweet. Highly recommend.

This little place has been here for ever! They serve very well prepared French food at reasonable prices. Been here a half a dozen times or so. Not a single visit was disappointing. They have some of the best Sunday Brunches you can find. Dinners are excellent. As you can expect from a small restaurant - you'll want to make reservations or be prepared to wait. The pandemic era sidewalk seating (enclosed w. heat) was a welcome expansion as otherwise you could hardly find an open table inside. The place was closed because the owner/chef was attacked and injured when hunting for mushrooms. He's since recovered and the place opened up a few months ago and I've been there twice since.

The food here is exceptional! Especially weekend brunch. They are known for their Crab Benedic, which I've had and it is loaded with crab and absolutely delicious. Their French Toast, with a bit of lemon curd, is also super popular.

On my most recent visit, I opted for the Pepper Steak & Eggs and I have a feeling this will be my go-to when I visit again. The strip steak was cooked perfectly medium and melted in my mouth. The pepper sauce that covered it added to the flavor profile without overpowering.

It comes with two eggs ( I chose scrambled with asiago cheese added) and perfectly crisp hash browns, toast or English muffin, and a little bit of fruit. Everything was so tasty and satisfying! I made quite a dent but took half the steak and the English muffin home for dinner.

You can drive right by this restaurant and not even know it's there. It's basically in an old house. Inside there are not that many tables. On the first floor, there are maybe three for 2 people with the rest being up a narrow and rickety staircase.

They seated us outside which has a roof and makeshift walls with overhead heaters. Originally our table of six was seated in an area with a very small heater and a major wind drift. It was so cold we asked to be moved once another table freed up. It was in an area with three overhead heaters so finally, we were warm. In the spring and summer, this area is fine, but for a 35 degree day in the winter it was challenging.

Prices were very reasonable. My steak and eggs was $23; the crab Benedict was $21; and the omelets and waffles in the $11-17 range. The only thing that threw me off was the $5 for coffee. Not an espresso drink, just a basic cup of drip coffee which should have been $2-3 max.

Service was great. The young man waiting on us handled all the requests, got everyone's drink and brunch orders right, brought us coffee refills constantly, and kept the water glasses filled. He was attentive but not intrusive. I complimented and thanked him for his great service.

Cafe Du Berry is definitely a great brunch spot. You can enjoy delicious food at reasonable prices, and no lines!

They also do a big take-out business, a left over from Covid days. When I arrived, there were at least four people picking up to-go orders.

Parking is on the street in the neighborhood and was not a problem.

Eggs Benedict was great, really like the lemon flavor in the hollandaise sauce and plentiful ham. Wife had the French toast which is a specialty item that did not disappoint.

My buddy took my wife and I here for brunch after we finish our hike. He been here before and recommended it for lunch because he said their French toast is amazing. This is a mom and pop type of breakfast place so it's not well known. When we arrived, he parked on the street and they seated us in their tent dining area. My friend went with their French toast, my wife got the scallops and mushroom omelet and I went with their French waffles. The size of my waffle was pretty big but I don't think it was worth the price of the food. The syrup I think they give with it is sugar free because it wasn't sweet to me and the French waffle had a plain taste. My wife and my friend enjoyed their dish. Our dish also come with the side of fruits but it was only like 2 pieces of orange and 1 strawberry. The service we received here was amazing, our waiter was attentive to our table. If you dine inside the restrauant, the second floor dining room will remind me of eating back in the old days. They only have 1 bathroom here so be aware of that.

As others said: French toast was quite good. Everything else (Spanish omelette, shirred eggs, coffee) was mediocre to unpleasant. Worst hash browns I've had in a long time.

Cute little brunch spot. They weren't seating anybody upstairs so it was about a 15 minute wait on a Sunday morning which still wasn't bad at all. We ordered the scallop and mushroom omelette. The scallops were very well cooked but I wish it was a bit more mushroom forward in the omelette. Hash browns were more like thick mashed potatoes. The French toast was good but the texture was extremely unexpected. It was very wet; almost custard like. Also ordered the spinach sauce on the side to try and I was not a fan. It was cold and chunky pudding consistency. Honestly I think it was firmer than the French toast. My friend liked it however but I also just felt it was a bit bland.
