Q:
What time is the lunch buffet and is it offered on weekends? Thanks!

I would suggest calling them for the buffet hours. I always visit there on Saturdays between noon and 2 pm

Based on one experience, nothing but 5 stars is appropriate! I had the chicken vindaloo and it was honestly the spiciest vindaloo I have ever had! It's always disappointing when Indian food is under seasoned/spiced but that is definitely not a problem here! The naan was delicious. We got the naan basket with garlic, onion, and plain naan. We got two entrees and SO MUCH RICE! They did not skimp on that! We also got samosas and Tikka masala. All delicious!
It was just delivery so I can't speak to the restaurant itself or the service but I will definitely be back to try out more of their entrees.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - 404112002Dec 4, 2023
Got cafe Bombay for thanksgiving this year. It was awesome that they were open. I wasn't able to adjust the heat, so the paneer tikka Marsala was bland and kinda tasted like tomato soup. The garlic naan was pretty good. Service was good. If I could adjust the heat, I would try it again.

Went to cafe Bombay with my classmates and teacher one day. Service was super nice and it bas a huge area for big parties. They also have a buffet in the mornings and I think in Fridays. We came in at around 5pm and it was not busy but by the time we left most of the front of the restaurant was filled up and there were some tables in the bigger dining area. My friend ordered a shot and it took them about 10 minutes to bring it out for her even though we were the only table there. I ordered a chicken that was supposed to be spicy but it was super dry and not spicy. I ended up giving it to my friend so she can take it home to her husband. My teacher ordered the chicken biryani and it was actually VERY good and had a nice kick but not too spicy. I would come back for the biryani.

I ordered takeout on Christmas Day, and decided to stop in for the lunch buffet awhile later. Let's get into it.
Location and Parking
Cafe Bombay is located in a small strip mall behind Target on N Druid Hills. The driveway is easy to miss, but if you drive past it you can pull into the Target parking lot and come back.
Venue and Atmosphere
The interior is no-frills, but it is clean and the aroma of delicious Indian food is in the air. Proceed to the host stand and they will seat you. Let them know if you want plated or buffet service, and live your best life.
Food and Beverages
Food was hot, fresh, and flavorful. The food is authentic and spice levels vary. The buffet is pretty extensive, but I recall Tikka Masala, Tandoori chicken, palak (spinach) as well as vegetarian dishes, rice, naan, and a salad bar. They have a few desserts as well as egg rolls. Though it is all you can eat, I was full after only one plate. The price is $17, not including a beverage.
Service
Service is minimal given that it is a buffet, but I was greeted with a smile and my water was refilled quickly each time.
Verdict
I'll be back if I'm in the area at lunchtime!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 198277988Jan 19, 2023Updated review
So about this place
They had a lunch buffet that was really popular
All you do is walk in and start on the buffet
If you pass on the buffet, then you have to wait a while to actually have someone serve you
The food arrived really fast and it was delicious
Parking is convenientHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Jan 15, 2023Previous reviewI love a good Indian restaurant

I love that it's 13 mins from my house which is a plus.
The inside definitely need a renovation done asap !
It's a old building with old furniture and decor.
The carpet is old and dirty .
Let's talk about the food.
At first I thought I was tripping but I'm not.
Every time I visit this restaurant and I get food I get bad diarrhea. I mean REAL REAL BAD.
I've tried multiple things on the menu and it never fails.
I truly hate that my stomach doesn't agree because the food is great . But it's a no go for me .
I love the CHEESE NAN BREADHelpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 163182369Feb 12, 2023
Tried out this new Indian spot and had went back the next night for the same meal. On the second night they served cold rice but against the hot butter chicken it still slaps. The host/owner was happy to see me back for a second night. This made me feel really greedy lololololololol! But it showed good customer service that she recognizes her guest. The food was enough to feed 2 people and including the "sweet" naan, the cost was around $20.00. Would totally eat here again.

Cafe Bombay is just amazing. It is the best comfort food I've ever had and it makes me think of home. If there were more than 5 stars I would rate it 100 because they are amazing. Thank you @cafebombay for always being accommodating when I put in special requests. You guys are AWESOME!!!
For as long as I live here CAFE BOMBAY will always have my support and I definitely will keep coming back or ordering online. Thank you guys so much for the amazing food.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Anuja K.New York, NY4463Jan 22, 2023
I am writing this review while having their buffet. Let me start off with gravy, it was cold and not flavorful at all. Rice was hard and dried up. Chicken felt raw and all the gravy was very watery. Prices are way to high for buffet, it doesn't meet the quality or quantity.
I don't recommend wasting your money here there are plenty of other restaurants which is worth the price. While paying the bill I kindly was trying to convey my message to manager saying that I had some issues with food and services instead of apologizing or taking my feedback he said "OH REALLY" how rude was that! I almost ended paying $80 for the shitty service and food and the manager had guts to ask me that I wrote the review while I was paying, I said yes I did! Still didn't hear any sorry or anything. These type of people and their restaurants are the worst!
I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT AT ALL!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 29, 2023
Every time I go to Atlanta, I try at least one new restaurant. So, last weekend I was there with my wife to celebrate my daughter-in-law's baby shower. My son placed a catering order with Cafe Bombay. We went to pick up the order and my wife asked the man couple of times and he assured her that every item was there. Now at the party hall, we're ready to serve food but discovered that one item was missing. When we called the restaurant, the man insisted of giving us the complete order. After realizing the item was indeed left behind in the restaurant, he said if someone can come and pick it up but we told him that you have to deliver ASAP. It was delivered hour and half after we've already finished. Now about the quality of food, it had no taste and please check the pictures, especially Shahi Paneer, they put nothing but the red color, color is not good or healthy. It was embarrassing in front of our guests. I've never had this kind of experience. They completely and totally ruined our very special day. I really didn't even want to give them one star but... I will NOT recommend this restaurant at all. DISAPPOINTED
