Don't plan on using CabPlus if you have to be somewhere on time, I called yesterday to get a car to pick me up theNext morning at my motel to go to the hospital for a procedure, the car didn't show, and no one would answer the phone. Worst service ever. They cost more but are supposed to be reliable, I guess not. I'll never call them again

William was absolutely fantastic (it took me forever to review, I got really busy) but his car was super clean, he was very friendly and service oriented absolutely fantastic. If I am in the Tampa area again he will be the first person I contact for a ride!

I called Cab Plus to schedule an airport ride the night prior to my departure. While arranging my 5am pickup I mentioned that I would be traveling with skis and confirmed with the scheduler that it would not be a problem.

The next morning my cab arrived 15 minutes late, pulled up to the wrong address, and was unprepared to accommodate my luggage. This caused a further 5 minute delay while we attempted to fit my skis into a car whose back seat would not fold down. The driver mentioned I was his first fare, so his tardiness was apparently borne of his inability to get to work on time, rather than a result of complications with a previous customer.

The route he took was 25 minutes longer than an alternate path I found on google maps once we hit traffic. This wouldn't be an issue if it was unforeseeable traffic caused by an accident, but it was due to construction that, according to the closeout signs, had been underway for at least five days. I don't believe I'm out of order in expecting a cab company or their drivers to be aware of major construction along one of the two major routes from downtown Tampa to the airport, especially when the ride was scheduled in advance.

The driver also made what sounded like a brief, but personal call on his cell phone during the ride. It's possible I just had a bad driver on a bad day, but as one should not have to play roulette with their travel plans, I cannot recommend this business.

Worst cab ever!
I'm a frequent flyer and take a cab twice a week to and from the airport. I read good reviews about Cab Plus and booked a cab for early Monday morning (5 AM). These guys call me up at 1 AM on Sunday night to confirm the reservation (Yes, they except me to be awake). I did not answer the call (Oh pardon me, some of us do sleep).
It gets better - I call up at 4:45 AM to confirm that a cab guy is picking me up. The lady on the call tells me - " I called you up last night, you told me point blank that you did not make a reservation and that you had no idea what I was talkin about". Me: "Wait, what?! Was I talking in my sleep?" Then I realize that I had a missed call, so I DID NOT talk to anyone, I have no idea what she was talking about. Anyhoo, thank you Cab Plus for this - never making another reservation with you again. Let's just hope I don't miss my flight now.

I was in the Tampa area and was happy to know that there was a local cab service that would be able to help me out. I called ahead and asked them if there would be any issues with picking me up late at night from my hotel. They said no problem just call them up. When I actually went to call them at 3am they said the wait would be 1 hour. After a while they called back and just said they wouldn't be able to make it.

There was a reason I called ahead!

I found Cab Plus late last year and I have been so happy with the service. The drivers are very nice, reliable, and the cars are super clean. When you book, you get a text message from the dispatcher telling you that the Chauffeur is en route, and you are given the Chauffeur's telephone number in case you need to reach them. I love this system. The day before I left Tampa, the Chauffeur of the car I booked to pick me up called me while en route and said he had to return to the airport because a client left her cell phone in his car, and would I mind if he sent someone else. The person he sent to get me knew how to get around very well and all turned out fine. The day after I returned home to New York the Chauffeur called me to ask if I got home safe, and apologized for having to send someone else to pick me up. Incredible service. I never had that before.

I'm only sorry that this company is not in New York. I will always call Cab Plus when I'm in Tampa. It rocks!

These guys are pros.
They take credit without a hassle.
Their cars are always clean with leather interior.
Their prices are around the same prices as taxis...in fact you can catch them around town in a similar fashion to a typical yellow cab...i.e. $5 rides.
Or you can use them for airport transfers or dinner reservations. It is a lot cheaper than a town car service and just as nice.

Or who knows? You may have a soft spot for vinyl seats with a tinge of vomit.

I called twice. First time I was on hold for 12 minutes. I hung up, called again and was put on hold again. I had to call someone else, and ended up being late. Not happy.

That was my experience with Cab Plus.

These folks fantastic. Picked us up Tampa Airport. Went to St Pete, Treasure Island Resorts. Blast. Great music & had water on board.Driver was Eye Candy too.
