For what it is (a dive) this place is excellent!

This place is definitely a dive.. my first time in Dundalk and I resorted to Yelp to find somewhere to have a quick bite and this place popped up. When I walked in I noticed a hand written sign that said credit card machines were down, cash only. Luckily, for once in my life I had cash, so not an issue.

They had a ton of things on the menu, my boyfriend ordered:
      - Raging Bull (pit beef and ham, with provolone and tiger sauce)
      - Pit beef cheesesteak
      - Side of fries

Our total was around $16, not too shabby for lunch.

The kitchen is right behind the counter, which is good and bad, you can see everything they are doing back there which is good, but you can see everything they are doing back there which can be bad.

Even when one of them launched my sub roll into the air across the line to land on the cooktop... I kind of stared for a second (did that really happen?) but it's not like it hit the ground or anything, so I will let that slide. I realize the people that work here are young adults, probably their first job. I remember my first job at Papa Johns, so I can totally relate.

Overall, I am totally happy we stopped here, it was absolutely delicious, the fries were awesome, the cheesesteak was awesome, the raging bull was awesome... when I am ever in Dundalk again I will definitely swing by this place again.

First of all, the prices are like they're from the mid 90's.....the most expensive sandwich is about $7.

The pit beef cheesesteak is incredible. The meat is chopped and the fresh roll and cheese complement it well. Their tiger sauce is much more potent than Chaps. You can taste that horsereadish.

Also, a bacon chili cheese dog "The Rodeo" is $3.....the hot dog wasn't the greatest, but the toppings more than made up for it (it was plump, just not the tastiest).

The fries seemed pretty fresh and the food was prepared pretty quickly considering it was during a lunch rush. My only complaint was them taking food orders on the phone when your line is 8 deep. Take care of the customers in your p[lace first.

Nonetheless, I'll be headed back soon for their burger topped with pit beef.

I have been back a few times and on my last visit I noticed they added ribs.
So i had a pit beef there and took some ribs home.
The pit beef sandwich was freaking great, tender juicy flavorful medium rare beef piled high on soft roll.
And the pork ribs were good, tender the sauce was good but not mind blowing and they lacked a smoke flavor but I enjoyed them. Think i'm sticking with the pit beef.

On a road trip to Philly, we Yelped from I-95 and I found this place so we decided to go off the beaten path to give it a try. We are SO glad we did! We both had the Rodeo Burger (onion rings, chili, cowboy sauce, & American cheese) with sweet potato fries. The burger was SO good. We had it cooked medium well and it was perfect - it came out piping hot. The fries were good, too - great combination of sugar and cinnamon. The service was also awesome, which can make or break a review. If I'm ever, ever in the area again I will definitely be back!

The former Weenie World...this place has gotten a needed face lift & cleaning plus there are new owners in this space. Great lunch and dinner spot for a quick eat. Stop in for pit beef, pit ham, burgers, hot dogs and fries. Pit beef is delicious and sliced (almost shaved) thin. I ate the basic pit beef on a roll with horseradish and it was perfect. They have a good basic menu with other yummy options. You can order and go or enjoy eating on tables inside or outside. Worth a trip? Yes!!!

They're right, you can't beat their meat!

A very casual dine in or take out kinda place. I had to give them 5 stars, because there were no cons to this place. Seriously, the Ravens were on the TV, the dudes at the counter were cool, fresh fries in the fryer...and...I had a pit beef cheesesteak sub.

      ~A WHAT?!?!
      ~Yeah, you heard me.

Not to mention it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Flavorful, hot, fresh, just perfect. The fries were also top notch.

The BF had the Barnyard Club (pit beef, pit ham, pit turkey, and bacon). Crazy good and reasonably priced! I forsee myself frequenting this place.

I want to have a uterus inserted in my male body for the sole purpose of having this place's children. Was in here a few hours before standing up in my friend's wedding, and holy hell, I wish I lived in Baltimore, so I could eat here daily.

Probably the best pit beef I've ever had, pit ham made me wanna slap someone's mama, and the sauces were amazing, especially the tiger sauce[0]. Prices were reasonable, and the servers were totally cool. They even have decent tvs to watch while you fill your arteries up with pure pleasure.

Possibly the only thing missing is a shake machine, although there's a Rita's next door if you're into that sort of thing. I'm not, so I had a giant Coke instead.

On a side note, best tagline ever: "You can't beat our meat!"

Just writing about it, I'm already salivating. Screw it, I'm hopping in the car to go to Baltimore to get more. I don't care if it's rush hour and raining!

I just realized I haven't written a review for this place yet. Shame on me, because they're great!

They have a pretty expansive menu with choices for everyone. My new favorite there is the Bull Crab ($10). It's Crab Imperial on top of a pit beef sandwich. It's absolutely delicious. My wife likes either the Barnyard or the pit chef salad. Side orders are pretty cheap. And the staff works hard to make sure you get what you want. I still like that other place that's been on damn near every tv show in the world. But they've almost become a tourist trap. This place is good local food. I think you'll like it!

How does this place compare to the famous, well established Chaps?

Lets take a scientific approach...Comparing both places based on 6 variables.

Portions: Chaps (you really can't beat chaps huge portions)
Flavor: Chaps (not by much...but chaps is slightly smokier)
Service: BP=Chaps (they're both pretty good and friendly)
Speed: BP=Chaps (everything is made to order so wait is about 5-10 min)
Ambience: Chaps (Chaps feels like the mascot of everything Baltimore)
Cost: BP (BP is slightly less expensive)

Overall: BP is a great place if you want some good BBQ and pit beef. The hamburgers are spot on. Everything is fresh and the owner takes a lot of pride in what they do. Plus he is a character with a quick tongue. haha Chaps is still #1 but not by much. I do prefer Chap's tiger sauce over BP's. The sauce is boss!

How the hell did this place get these reviews? this place is a shit hole. It is disgusting in there I am by no means picky when it comes to food spots but this place takes filthy to a whole new level. I ordered a hotdog with pit beef on it and as I waited for my food I look into the back kitchen and notice a fly catcher that was completely full. I understand cooking pit beef will attract flies and what not but they could atleast throw the dead flies away and not keep them hanging in the kitchen. This lead me to wonder what filth was I unable to see if this was left out in the open? Needless to say I will never eat there again and suggest no one else does if they want to not eat nasty stuff. Anyone trying to compare this crap hole to CHaps needs to reevaluate their life.
