I would give them less than one star if I could. Buyer beware- we spent $40 on two Uber trips to be turned away saying they didn't have a car and that we would have to call for a refund and now are being told we will have to pay $50 cancellation fee even though they don't have a car for us. This is the biggest scam!!! We will NEVER use this company again.

When we arrive to pick up our car there was no one at customer service. They had already left for the night and left us without a car. Be weary of this location for they will not wait for anybody after 10:00 PM. It doesn't matter if you have a reservation or not.

Made a rental car reservation almost two months ago. Come here to pick it up, and none are available.

Rude. They attendant was unnecessarily rude to me, my disabled vet father, and the other people in line. She has no business being in customer service. I've seen her there in the past. Clearly, she's over it, and is happy to show she doesn't care at all.

DO NOT GO HERE! they charged me an extra $190 for no reason after I already paid. I returned at GNV and no one was there so I took pictures and returned my keys. Then when I saw the charge, I contacted customer service, waited on hold for awhile, was told I could only get a "discount" on my next rental til I fought to speak to a manager. Then the manager finally agreed to rescind the charge but asked for proof that I returned the car. When I tried to send the picture, 3 times, I got an error message from the email. Now calling back customer service, their number won't go through. Waited 3 hours both times. I will NEVER rent from this company again!

By far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have personally heard her be rude and belittling to multiple customers.
She obviously can't follow company guidelines and I'm sure that Budget wouldn't want their customers treated so poorly.

I travel for work every few weeks and have never had such a poor experience in customer service: rental cars or otherwise. I prepaid my rental, and the plane was late. Budget closed their doors and turned off the lights, so I called to confirm I could get the car the next day. I spoke with three different people who told me the prepaid rental would be available for 24 hours. I called again the next morning before my work shift to confirm I could come get the car and was told it would be available. I then came back to the airport immediately after work to get my car. The person at the front desk said she could not "modify my reservation" and gave me the phone to call customer service for them to do it. I was on hold with customer service for 40 min only to be told there were no cars available. The front desk person - who spoke about me in the third person in my presence and was also rude and condescending to other customers - couldn't modify my reservation because they had sold out of cars. She had me on hold for 40 min knowing this and did not bother to say they did not have a car for me. She told me to ask for a refund and go to the other car rental companies. Budget is appropriately named. It is worth the minimal extra money to use a quality company.

This place has terrible customer service. Use a different rental company!!! The lady at the front desk is rude. They are very unprofessional and this is no way to run a business. They don't even deserve the one star!

It is very rare that I give a 5 star rating. However, I believe Budget and this location in particular deserve it.
Have I had problems with Budget before? Yes, I have. But for the number of times I have rented from them the ratio is low. And the way they handled any problems I've had has been outstanding which in the end goes a long way with me.
I know everyone at this location and they are all very polite and accommodating. Need a bigger car than you originally thought, they will help you with that. They have the best prices in town and do not nickel and dime you like the other car rental companies here at the airport. All budget locations are speedy and give good service.
Want to make things faster and get rewards? Sign up for Fastbreak online. It shoot ls you ahead of the line (except in gville because it's such a small location). You also have the majority of your info on file so it cuts down on on all the paperwork. If you travel a lot then they have the best rewards! I get tons of rental certificates which adds up to free rentals when I'm on vacation...BONUS!!!!
Also, the manager that runs this region (gville to jax) is also very helpful and will go the extra mile to remedy any problems and make sure you always have a positive experience.

My son was graduating and moving out of his GNV apartment to relocate to S. FL so I reserved a van several weeks in advance. Two days prior to renting, I received a confirmation text from Budget. When I arrived at airport, no van. I said dont you have to provide a comp vehicle? They said yes but didnt have one. They called another location - no dice. Shrugging shoulders, they said sorry. They knew I confirmed and had no cars and didnt have their crap together to call me in advance. They ended up renting me a small Kia SUV and I had to rent a second vehicle from Enterprise. I complained and received a gratuitous discount. I also complained via the survey and received the reply below. Read between the lines, I guess I should have been happy with a 12 pax van (with no cargo). No email from Budget would have been better. Seems like they write these to mKe themselves feel good.

I am very sorry that you were disappointed with the vehicle class reserved (van) was not available. Sometime our fleet can be tight for a host of unexpected reasons. We do however offer our customer a bigger vehicle should as the 12 passenger van. I'm so sorry you were not able to use that instead. Delighting customers is our top priority, and we make every attempt to deliver the specific vehicle requested.
