Buck's Steaks & Bar-B-Que

Steak is so good and ice tea if u order the steak get the 20 oz it's worth it , bbq looks ok as well, potato saled is really good and beans

I was disappointed with our lunch at Buck's. It took twenty minutes for a simple chicken breast to be served. I opted for the 2-meat buffet option. The brisket was 'okay,' but stringy and chewy. Sadly, there are no vegetable options on the buffet. The cornbread was the most tasteless corn bread I've ever tasted. Perhaps the biggest disappointment is the barbecue sauce. There is just one style-fits-all sauce in a large crockpot on the buffet. The place is run-down and shabby. You can do better elsewhere.

Grabbed dinner when we passed through town. Not crowded but we waited to be seated. Lounge is separate from dining room though drinks available in both. Toasted ravioli came with ranch dressing which didn't work. Steaks are choice not prime and came overcooked, medium not medium rare. They gave us a credit. Melinda was very nice.. Will return but be more selective in our ordering.

Great service.
Very poor food.
My friend and I sent our steaks back twice. I'm not sure why the cooks were struggling with medium. We kept getting rare.
We finally gave up, paid for our drinks and went home and ate cereal.
(Also, the baked potatoes were also cold. The butter did not even melt.)
Very disappointing. We won't be back.
We'll drive to Abilene from now on.
One more thing...Bucks, please turn up your heat. We had to sit with our jackets on! Maybe that's why everything was cold?

Food is wonderful and flavorful ....RIBS omgoodness fall off the bone, brisket tender as could be, sausage with little chz and the jalepeno warmth comes at the end! YUMMY...and I had the cheeseburger which was the best one in a LONG time! Highly recommended

This place was despicable!! No one greeted us, offered us or seat, or even said f*ck you!! The service was horrible 5 wait staff looked at us and walked away. The young Mexican lady that was supposed to be the greeter had the personality of a toad. I would not recommend this place at all. If you cannot greet your customers you do not deserve to be in business. My party of 5 walked out with another 5 people. Guess they didn't need our business cuz they are doing so well.!!

We way to often leave only negative reviews I'm guilty as well bit this place is great. Not much to look at and hasn't been renovated since before it opened but that's ok. Steak was spot on with the cook and season respectfully. Not to much Not to little. Mac and cheese very good the jalapeño sausage was delicious as was the brisket. Service was very good and very friendly. I'm glad I stopped and next time on my way through I'll do it again.

Not very good. No drink menu. Chicken fried steak okay, tough to cut, sides were cold and bland. I don't suggest main course from here. Tasteless half tea-lemonade, scalding hot cherry cobbler served in a bowl. Great service but poor food. We won't be back.

The brisket can be cut with a butter knife!

The biscuits are fluffy, hot and delicious!

The tea is perfect and you're out of your mind if you eat ANYWHERE else when come through this town.

Decent brisket and sausage plate from their buffet style service. Employee cuts and weighs your meats. You serve your own sides. Wasn't crazy about the flavor of their BBQ sauce. It had a sweet and vinegary flavor.

The sides; potato salad, mac salad, coleslaw, pinto beans, boiled potatoes, cornbread. Potato salad and coleslaw were the best. Cornbread was pretty bland and dry.

Chicken fried steak was ginormous and tender but lacked seasoning.

The young female server was very friendly.

Being in The Bible Belt was obvious with gospel music playing and then a sermon. Nothing wrong with that, just different and peculiar with a bar in the same restaurant. Glad we have a First Amendment and refreshing to see it utilized. Couldn't really hear it over patrons talking anyways.
