Broadway Coffee Cafe

I've been spending some time here recently.

The cafe is located on Davis College, a Christian University on Riverside Drive.

The interior is a nice, cozy space. I would never have guessed that such a charming space would be inside, based on the exterior of the building. Good interior design. I especially enjoy sitting on the comfy couches by the fireplace.

The coffee is decent. The food is your standard college campus fried fare, but reasonably priced.

However, tI've found a bothersome thing about this place is the staff. They are typically prompt and friendly with service, but they are so very loud! I come to the Broadway Cafe to do work, and I find that my concentration is frequently broken by their cackling laughter, or shouting across the room at one another. I'm very happy that they seem to enjoy each other's company so much, but I do find it quite distracting.

Otherwise, the cafe is surprisingly nice, and worth checking out if you're looking for a someplace in town to get work done besides the Cyber Cafe West.

Quaint Cafe that I never knew was there. I had my daughter's baby shower there, about 30 people. Rented the space on a Sunday when they are closed. Great space, vibe, even a stage. Worked out great for us. I would love to go back and enjoy it when open now that I know it's there, and open to the public.

The Broadway Coffee Café is located on the campus of Davis College, but it is open to the public. The café has been in operation since 2002 where it serves wonderful coffee. The food that is served is also top notch. I really enjoy the turkey wraps and Panini sandwiches. The atmosphere is great where they have a fireplace operating during the winter months. They even have a loft area that can be reserved for business meetings. It is a wonderful place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

I want to like this place, but I struggle. All of the food items appear very basic. I say "appear" instead of "are" because I never eat here. I show up, sit at the counter, and eventually (after quite some time) I get the opportunity to order a coffee. And that's where the so-called service ends. For reasons I'm unaware of, they never want to take an order from me. They take orders for the people all around me, just not me. I've come here three times in the last six weeks and they are very consistent with this. I'm not under the impression they are discriminating here but I am confused. I'm a regular looking guy, bathing regularly, employed, money in hand.
