My son and I grew an appetite when we were at the beach. I was craving Mexican, and see some food reviews about it. So I drove outta my way to come here.
When I walked in. It wasn't very nice looking. It was so plain with blue walls. Anyways. I didn't do for the decor. I came for the food. No one greeted us and I stood there for a minute to see if they were gonna seat us. So I ended up seating ourselves. Finally a waiter showed up. He was very sweet and attentive.
I ordered Nacho cheese for an appetizer, and enchiladas for my entree. The food came out fast and was very hot. When it came to taste... It was ok. It wasn't amazing, but wasn't terrible. I think their food could use some more flavor.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Dec 13, 2019
Super clean, friendly service, hot food, tasty good, great hot sauce, convenient location.
I had a cheese enchilada and the other person in my party had two beef soft shelled tacos with retried beans and rice. Two waters. Total bill was $10.68. No complaints here!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 19, 2016Updated review
They've improved things here. Big plates, removed the big structure in the middle of the dining room. The food is great so don't worry about it.
Chile relleno was eaten down to the stem. Not filled with seeds like some places.
Service is super friendly.

Wow is all I can say. We all ordered the seafood enchilada...verda sauce. EXCELLENT CHOICE. The seafood was fresh the sauce was wonderful. The beans and rice flavored and well seasoned. The chips were warm and the salsa... forget about it... best I have had.. the atmosphere was welcoming and the staff attentive. You can't go wrong visiting and staying for a while just to chat with friends and have a drink or two.

We got pork chimichanga and chicken enchiladas. Really good. Probably should be 5 stars, but the only drawback is that the chips that are served as appetizers are nothing special, probably just out of a bag. Other than that, everything was excellent.

In reading over some of the negative reviews about this place I'm honestly not sure what they're talking about because my first visit here was fantastic.
Upon entering I was immediately greeted. The decor was fun, not boring and bland like others said. I was the only customer there at first around 1pm on a Monday, but another 2 tables walked in shortly after I did. Within a couple of minutes of sitting down I had my drink and complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were warm and the salsa was homemade and absolutely delicious. The side of queso I ordered could have been hotter though.
I ordered the pollo crema lunch special for $9.99. It was super tasty. Chunks of chicken in a creamy sauce with mushroom and onions. Rice and refried beans on the side. So much food! The soft tortillas that came with it tasted homemade, and not like the fast food junk.
I recently started working in the area and will definitely be back for lunch in the future.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 1, 2016
We wanted to grab a late lunch before heading from Daytona back to South Florida. I picked this place because is Mexican of course, and had 4 stars. It's located in a strip mall, which is not always a bad thing. We were seated right away, as there was only one other party besides us. Chips and salsa came next, which were a little stale, but the salsa was OK. I didn't order a drink, just water.
As an entree I got the combination platter with two tacos and a tostada. And hubby got the flap meat steak.
Our server didn't ask any of the usual question associated with those meals, like "How'd you like you steak cooked," or "What kind of tortilla with your tacos," in my experience, the more authentic Mexican places use corn tortillas, so I assumed this would be the case. When I got my food, they were crunchy Taco Bell shells. I was shocked actually. I asked for some corn tortillas so I could transfer the filling. Rice and refried beans were tasteless. I guess I overestimated the authenticity of this place. It was just a Tex-Mex restaurant with a more mexicanesque (not a word, I know :) decor. Hubby's steak was overcooked. Not impressed at all.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 13764290Nov 24, 2018

Was in the area for lunch and wanted Mexican. Yelp had good reviews and I thought I would try it. First- follow the map as it buried in the plaza. The front door is hidden by a large pillar. It is next to the gym. Walking in I was greeted and sat immediately. My drink order was taken at the same time. With my drink came chips and salsa (hot). I ordered the Colorado Burrito. It was delicious!! Just the right amount of food and seasoning. I will be back and remember this place.
