TERRIBLE SERVICE & UNPROFESSIONAL! We drove 18 miles across town to eat dinner there on Sunday. They are open until 9pm on Sunday so when we arrived 5pm and saw a giant banner for "kids eat free on Sundays" we were thrilled... UNTIL we got to the closed, locked door! I could see people inside but the door was locked. I called and the guy (looking at me through the glass) said that "they had no customers so they decided to close early." What? You decided to close FOUR HOURS EARLY And Right before the dinner hours? Baffling!? And when I said we just drove across town to get there, he just said, "sorry."
With that level of service it is no wonder they have no customers... wow. just wow.
It was the most ridiculous thing I have ever experienced.

Close, but no cannoli. I really wanted to like this place, so I tried it out twice. I found that BRiOSO falls far short of its stated claims in numerous respects.

While the service is indeed "casual", the prices certainly aren't-- you pay about as much as you would at a fancy Italian restaurant for a comparable amount of food. Unfortunately, the quality of food is nowhere near what you'd expect from a halfway-decent restaurant. Despite claims of "local", "fresh", "organic", etc., my salads were chock full of rotting greens as well as out-of-season (and apparently frozen pre-chopped) trimmings. My pasta was boiled to mush, far past any semblance of al dente. If the pasta was indeed handmade, as claimed, all of the handmade charm was cooked out of it.

I would usually chalk up some of these failings to growing pains. However, since this is an established franchise with multiple locations, I'm led to conclude that their entire business model is based on overcharging for sub-par slop.

So, why two stars? Their mozzarella sticks are phenomenal. Most important, their sauces are consistently good-- a hard find, even at some of the better restaurants. That said, unless you're sticking to appetizers and sauce, I would recommend avoiding wasting your money and time at BRiOSO.

      So... NOT that impressed.
You are asked to order at the front door, then sit and await your food in a dining area that seems better suited for a full, casual style service. This concept would be a disaster if there were a lot of people all wanting to eat at one time.
The service staff was ditsy & unaware.
The pasta, which is the reason one would go here - needs refinement - it was kind of thick and lacked the proper texture.

I have been to this restaurant twice, and had nearly the same experience both times. You order your food at the front door, though this takes 10 or so minutes to do if there is only one or two people in front of you. Then you sit at any random table and hope a waiter realizes you've sat down in order to give you water and the drinks you've already ordered at the front - though again this takes a rather long time. I believe you are also supposed to get bread with your drinks. This is unclear, however, because I was got it during the first visit and on the second visit other tables had it, but when I asked for bread I was told, "Yeah, we're trying to cut back on that" - and did not get any.

The food too takes a good amount of time to get to the table, though not because anything on the menu is overly complicated to make, but mostly because of the service. The food sits on top of the warming counter for a good while despite several pass-bys from the wait staff, and then when it is finally picked up the waiter walks around the restaurant looking for whoever potentially ordered it. If there is a system to determine what food was ordered by whom - it is unknown to me and I believe the staff waiters as well. Also, the food is not typically served to the entire table all at once, but instead you're just given whatever the waiter decided to pick up, and the rest of the table must continue to watch their food sit on the warming counter.

Legitimately the only saving grace about this place is the actual food. I will give them that the food is rather good - though slightly overpriced. It probably is the reason I came back the second time - plus I thought maybe since the place was new it just needed some time to get the kinks worked out of the system, but it has not.

Overall, if you're willing to spend an hour or so at the restaurant leisurely waiting for drinks, bread, silverware, and food then you might be okay with the place. But if you wish to have your food and everything else in a timely, organized fashion, then this place will probably frustrate the hell out of you.

Brioso has tasty sauces and good pasta. I like the spinach tagliatelli with basil pesto. If you want meat added, it does get a little pricey (over $10 an entree for lunch). The sausage sauce with the 5 cheese ravioli is also good. Service is fast and it's never crowded, so you won't have to wait to get a table. The set-up is poorly thought out, as you have to order at the counter and this often gets backed up. I really dislike tipping before I see what the service is like. The food keeps me going back but I wish they would make some logistical changes.

Great Italian! They make homemade pastas, breads, and sauces daily! My favorite pasta is the butternut squash ravioli. Service is friendly and prompt.

Good lunch option for "business casual" somewhere above a fast food chain, but not quite fancy/authentic Italian. Ordering is at the counter and then you seek a table and get served, but the layout is all wrong so the ordering line often backs up out the door. I like the salads, ravioli are good, and piadina (italian tacos) worth ordering. Not often busy, typically easy to find a lunch table. The kitchen can be a bit slow and inconsistent but order appetizers and wait it out.

I have called in food orders 2 times and both times they were out of items that I wanted. The first time they were out of 3 items that I wanted. The food is pretty good but it seems that the management is not very good at ordering the food. I cannot attest to eating in the restaurant because my orders were to go. I would add the 4th star if they would have had the items I wanted both times or even just one of the times.

Had a Groupon, took the family to this restaurant. Not so great. Kid's meals are $3.99 -- son had grilled cheese. Simply rosemary infused (he hated it) Italian bread grilled with American cheese and a salad side. Daughter - spaghetti with butter. Both were supposed to come with gelato but they 'ran out' becuase they make it fresh everyday, we were there at 5pm. No other desert option available. Maybe because we had a Groupon they felt that they did not need to fulfill the menu option. Adults had ravoli, OK. Service very in-attentive, you need to give a tip before the service happens -- I would not recommend it. Nothing tasted fresh. I'm not sure if this area has an Olive Garden, but anything would be a better choice.

well... i bought a Groupon to try this newplace, since i love Italian. there was only one another table besides me, and my food came out 15 minutes later- and wrong!! when i ask the manager to correct it, seemed he got mad, he tossed the plate to bustub with anger!! that man was very rude, and also i noticed that when their phone rings, the bartender answers it and puts them on hold with no reason.....and keep playing with his own phone!! I could not believe this place is still in business??!!! hope the owner knows what they r doing behind his back!!!
