I called the main office to schedule a virtual tour and interview for the Bright Horizons Issaquah office. Literally 2 minutes before my scheduled appointment, someone called me from their office that they needed to cancel. They gave some excuse and I accepted kindly. They said they can reschedule me to next week, a date and time were given. Oddly they said they wouldn't send me a new zoom invite and just use the old one for the next appointment. The day of the appointment came and I never received a confirmation email. I called them a couple of times and left voicemail regarding my appointment but no one responded. I logged into Zoom at the agreed upon time and waited for 10 minutes but no one showed.
I feel this is very unprofessional. If they are already this poor at attention to detail and responsiveness, I can't imagine safely leaving my infant in their care. This is a reflection of their lack of responsibility.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Erika G.Seattle, WA119016Feb 18, 2021
My 3 year old has been going to this daycare since he was 1, and loves it.
During COVID they took a break due to what was best for the kids and staff. During this time we tried out a different reputable daycare for a few months and my son cried every day at drop off, which he never does at this center. When we returned to BH after they reopened, I could tell a huge difference in his happiness and when I drop him off he doesn't even stop to say goodbye before he races to his class!
The staff here are experienced and we have been very impressed with all the teachers.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Almost 2700 for tuition full time for an infant here. That is more than my mortgage. Unbelievable that daycare centers can charge this much for child care!! It's highway robbery!!!!!!!!

Wonderful center for great childcare and nurturing community. Bright Horizons truly stands out amongst childcare centers! This facility is bright with ample outdoor space, a dedicated STEM room, and even an on site kitchen where daily meals are freshly prepped by an in house cook. At Bright Horizons Issaquah the staff is engaged, pleasant, attentive, and attuned to the needs of developing children. Communication is top notch, with lots of daily photos and teachers willing to offer insight into how children are doing. The daily activities keep kids engaged while reinforcing positive peer interactions, manners, and learning.
We are so thrilled to have our daughter here.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Grumble G.Boulder, CO0149Sep 28, 2017
This place is adequate. Everyone is nice. They've been going through some temporary chaos after the last director left, but "temporary " has been like 6 months now, so... not sure if that actually meets the criteria to be called temporary anymore.
I asked my daughter pre school teachers some direct questions about when she would transition to the next class and nether could or would give me a direct answer. It was like gee, I don't know, I'm not sure? I asked who would know then if not them, they weren't sure. I asked on Tuesday, again on Thursday, & again the next Tuesday and Still, they didn't know, weren't sure, obviously didn't care. So I asked the regional manager there, Ellen. She wrote my question on a post it, said she needed to find a list & would get back to me but after a week never did. When I saw her in the hall the following week she explained it was because the post it and been lost, hiding Under the keyboard-- but coincidentally she'd found it right before I saw her. The acting director Lauren, explained that the reason no one had returned my voice massage was because no one had taught her how! After getting different answers from them, I left another message wth the front desk for one of them to call me to confirm which answer was in fact correct. Neither wanted to or had the inclination I guess so they delegated that to someone else.
So... yes they are adequate but perhaps for the price you expect more.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Beth D.Issaquah, WA2271Dec 9, 2008First to Review
Most of the staff are very knowledgeable and have early childhood education. Worth the extra money for me to know my child is being well taken care of.

This is the second Bright Horizons preschool that our daughter has attended and though they have both been excellent, this one is fantastic! She has a small class, knowledgeable and caring teachers, many fun activities including art class and healthy delicious snacks and meals. We researched a lot of preschools/day cares and this one is really superior. They have very little staff turnover and it is a safe environment to learn and grow. I can't recommend this school enough!
