I love it when restaurants customize your order for a more healthier one. I got one of their signature burgers, California burger but asked for lettuce instead of the bread buns.

The order didn't take too long to arrive especially given that I went on a Friday. Most importantly, the burger was delicious and just as satisfying and something I enjoyed with a lot less guilt.

Way to go BRGR for understanding that customers now want more healthier options. 5 stars.

We came here for an early bday dinner celebration. The roof top bar and seating area is GORGEOUS! The flowers and lighting gave such a summery vibe. I got the smokehouse bison with sweet potato fries. DELICIOUS. My boyfriend got the fire house which he also loved. The best part was honestly that "crack" dip that comes with the housemade chips. I literally laughed at it but my boyfriend got it and that was the first thing we finished! It tastes like some kind of meat chili dip!

The cocktails were a bit pricey for its size but the bartender was so friendly. He really didn't pour us "cheap" drinks as in, he didn't water down the drinks at all! They were talkative with us and even gave us some tastes of milkshakes! They have happy hour Monday through Friday 4-6 PM.

Can't wait to go back ASAP!

Two of my favorite things about this place: the upstairs patio area and the spiked milkshakes. We were drawn to BRGR by the lights on their patio as we wanted to enjoy one of the last Pittsburgh summer evenings. The environment didn't disappoint. The patio felt homey with a great view. The heat lamps also helped with the incoming chilliness.

At the recommendation of our server, I got the BRGR and my partner got the California Lovin' (turkey burger). Both were good but the BRGR definitely won. The star food item of the night for me was the cookie and cream spiked shake. It was delicious. They have a great variety of milkshakes both spiked and not spiked. I'd highly recommend trying one!

Stopped here after stopping at Top Gear Bicycle Shop. We were sitting in our car in their parking lot and I was Yelping to find a restaurant nearby (yes, I do not know the neighborhood). Well, I think 450 feet is close enuff to walk! So, that we did to BRGR. I noticed from the street that they have rooftop dining so that is what we opted for this warm October day. They even had overhead heaters and curtains so that it was sufficiently warm enuff.

I ordered the steakhouse brgr for 13.00 which was, per their menu, "8 oz handcrafted dry-aged prime beef, A1 aioli, arugula, onion straws, dry bleu cheese". I ordered it medium and it came out just the way I wanted. I also ordered a side order of tater tots. I must say their sides are portion sized for two so keep that in mind if you and your dining partner are ordering.

I didn't have room for a milkshake (next time).

I enjoyed my burger and tots and the family-friendly atmosphere on the top deck. It was fun people watching as we sat by the edge.

Wonderful burger! (Button buster) It tasted really good, the meat were juicy and soft, fulfilled the burger, and I loved it so much that the inner side of bread was treated with butter and was crispy. Love it.
Update: tried the smokehouse bison burger today. It's awesome!

The poutine with the short rib is AMAZING! The Gobble Gobble is dry. Needs more cranberry sauce.

My group was a little worried because this seemed to be the only restaurant we passed downtown after a Pirates game that wasn't packed - but we needed some sustenance so we gave it a shot. The interior is pretty hip, warm, trendy etc. But the food is fairly standard bar/burger items with a few twists like spiked milkshakes and multiple sides that interested me.

The service was pretty abysmal but our waiter admitted they were understaffed and he was clearly doing the best he could. But our food came out in a timely manner and was pretty tasty.

I got the Santa Fe Hippie, their version of a black bean/falafel burger that was good and the rest of my group was pleased with their angus burgers. We got a side of chips and the house crack dip, which was a little cold from probably sitting around and the ratio of chips to dip was way off IMHO.

Overall if I was back in Pittsburgh this would by no means be my first stop, but it is worth a look if you happen to be nearby.

First time here and it was pretty good.

They have a large downstairs with bar and open garage doors to let the outdoors in. Upstairs is an outdoor rooftop patio with a bar. A good place for summer.

I ordered the mushroom burger which was good. The mustard sauce was a little strong, I would have liked to have tasted more of the burger which was made well. My fries were delicious and so was my cookies and cream milkshake.

I heard mixed reviews but this place is definitely worth trying. Unlike others, I thought this was better than the flavorless burnt hamburger and burnt potato chips I had at that religious cow place.

This is never a place that pops in my head as my first choice for a burger. I visited once years ago, and wasn't thrilled so it took me a while to go back. I visited again after a friend chose it for our dinner date. Though I was not disappointed with the food, I didn't leave the restaurant feeling that I've had an amazing burger. I hope to give it a few years more and go back feeling satisfied.

      Much tastier this time.

Had the button buster burger and it was just enough. Shared some Cajun tots and they were okay. I'm interested to try their other potato products.

Milkshake was much better than past visits. Chocolate chip cookie dough was on the top, a generous dollop. The shake itself was smooth so it goes fast :(. Texture is a little runnier than burgatory.

Plenty of non-meat options so your vegetarian friends can come too.
