I love Alt 19. I love to take my guest for a ride on this road whom not familiar with authentic Floridian life, Alt 19 reveals a lot of the fact that people here know how to enjoy tasteful life in simplicity.
We walked into this little family runned deli located on Alt 19 by chance. Minute we entered the deli, we were welcomed by the owner, a sweet old gentleman. He figured we are new customers and he gave us a tour of his little tiny deli.
They serve 9 flavor of home made soup, 32 pound home roast turkey everyday, plenty make-your-own Salad, sandwiches, stuff cabbage, Eggplant Parmesan and Greek pastries. The tour is very helpful because there are too many good stuff to choose. We settle down with Eggplant Parmesan and Reuben Sandwich (add 1 dollar for a bowl of soup, they bring your order to your table. )The sauce of the eggplant was made from tomato sauce, feta cheese and minced black olive, very rich and blend well with eggplant. Reuben is fine. We will order their turkey sandwich next time. Restaurant is clean and bright. A side sun-room bring good nature light in and good spot to have lunch break.
You pay at the front after you finish your meal. The owner's wife take care of us this time and asked whether if we got the tour. How charming. If you passing by Alt 19, it is a nice place for lunch break. -

Husband and I got severe food poisoning here. Suspect it was mayo. If you eat here stay away from salads using mayo. We won't be back.

The amazing thing about this restaurant is that they make a mininum of eight soups a day including Avgolemono, the famous Greek Egg/Lemon Chicken Soup. Another shocker is that they make a 32 pound turkey every day. You can't help but want a fresh turkey sandwich. The deli will have any kind of means you want for sandwiches. There is a case loaded with Greek pastries. AND the people are so nice. I love being able to run up Alt 19 and greb a bite whenever. I highly recommend you stopping there.

This was a great find. I was attending a conference at Innisbrook and wanted to go offsite to find somewhere casual and inexpensive for our meal break. The first day I had a healthy portion of eggplant parmesan for less than the price of a turkey sandwich at the conference. Maybe not what you'd get in a good Italian restaurant but a very good lunch nonetheless. Tasty and nothing not to like. The second day I had a cup of a veggie bean soup (they make several soups each day) and a side of rice pilaf. Both were good. The pilaf was interesting in that it was loaded with lentils. For a side dish, the pilaf portion was generous. You could easily make a light lunch out of that alone. The soup and rice each were only $2 and change. I don't get to that area much but I'd definitely go back when I am. So skip the nearby Subway and stop in here!

Went here for lunch today and got a roast beef sandwich. Friend on Facebook recommended the place. The portions were HUGE! It was almost too much to eat. It wasn't terribly busy but had a steady stream of people coming in and out. I'll definitely go back and try something different next time. Staff was very friendly.
