Boyd F Buckingham

Boyd was a good mediator who settled our divorce case where a previous mediator had failed. Legally, he was fair and gave both sides arguments they needed to hear equally. What was effective was his focus more on what it would take to bridge the gap and make progress, rather than getting lost in legal arguments or details. He assigned values to items in the spreadsheet for both sides rather than discounting things as the last mediator had done, and just got us to meet close to the middle. He stayed late and I felt like he worked hard for us, knowing it was a difficult process, and having empathy. I recommend him.

Mr. Buckingham's office was respectful, professional, and timely in our experience with him as our Arbitrator for our family law case. The issue I found was that all the provided details having to do with the timeliness and lack of communication towards a joint decision prior to and resulting in our need for arbitration was overlooked. While the matter was ultimately stripped down to the decision to be made, I strongly feel that there were other considerations that were directly related to the situation and were ignored. In the end, a professional was chosen for our child whose length of experience was made a priority over their field of experience being correlated with our child's diagnosis, and the decision for both choice of professional and allocation of arbitration fees largely overlooked factors leading up to the joint decision and rather focused on naming the providers in the first place. Sharing this hopefully will help another family make an informed decision prior to choosing Mr. Buckingham for their arbitration process.
