Bourree Chiropractic & Massage

Dr. Bourree is an amazing Chiropractor and a truly amazing human being. I was having a very hard time with carpal tunnel pain and severe nerve pain in my arms and neck. I had no insurance and was unable to work with the physical condition I was in. He was the only doctor that I saw at the time that truly cared about my health and wellbeing! I owe my recovery from that horrific crippling condition to him and his help and care.

INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTING . You may not realize it, but you are being charged as though Dr Bourree is your personal trainer. Chiropractic adjustments are just the Loss Leader (a La Walmart). Their big money maker is for everything your insurance DOESN'T cover under chiropractic care. If it doesn't involve spinal adjustments, It's Not Covered.. And the largest part of your bill is for all those additional elements.

Does anyone tell you this? Not until you receive all the rejections from your insurance. The dr trades adjustments with his billing department, (who seem to indicate that their time doesn't include normal customer service), and they never notify that those rejections come in weekly, with each bill submitted to insurance. This went on for 3 months of weekly treatment.

I'm sending off a check for "services rendered". I wouldn't mind if they'd just been truthful. I'm sure there are better alternatives for care.

Nice guy, but I still hurt.

This practice is in bankruptcy. It is for sale with no buyers anywhere in site. Do NOT go to this "doctor"-- waste of money + time.

Dr. Bourree is great, and the massage therapist Alyssa is amazing!!
Just be careful to know your insurance allowances going in to any sort of continued treatment and be firm to them - don't let Dr. B bully you into more sessions than allowed, no he cannot just magically negotiate with insurance to make it all work out. He's very charismatic and quite persuasive, but when it comes to finances it's you fighting alone in your corner. If I were to do it all over again, I'd still come here, but would be more stubborn about only allowing for the set number of visits I knew insurance allowed, and insisting that Dr. B modify his care plan to fit within that scope - not the other way around.

Easy to make an appointment and all the therapist are very good! Went in for neck pain and after two treatments, no more troubles. Very professional.

I had a laser treatment from Dr. Bourree and was blown away by how good I felt right afterwards. Very knowledgeable as well.

Yelp fraudulently removed my earlier review of this place and then a 5 star review appeared in its place. Let me see if they remove this again.
My experience at this business was not good. I wasted a bunch of time and money for no benefit and concluded that Bourree's serice is a total scam, quackery at its finest.
If you believe that lying down and holding packets of artificial sweetener in one hand will make your leg visibly longer, indicating your body's reaction to a "toxin", then this is the place for you. (Yes, he expected me to be gullible enough to fall for this crap) On the other hand if you are rational and prefer science-based medicine, avoid this place.

Jerrilee is absolutely amazing! She is 5-star 10 out of 10! We were very impressed by her professional, thorough focus on wellness and she is extremely talented. Dr. Bourree has an interesting way with clients that just didn't suit us and in the end made us change our course and plans for an ongoing program.

I am very disappointed in this place and want to inform the public about shady financial services there and my scary health issues after aggressive neck adjustment.

Services for which you think you are paying and what is actually charged, without your consent, are two different things at this place. As with any chiropractor, you assume you are being charged for what you are there for, a spinal adjustment. The spinal adjustment procedure lasts 5-10 minutes. Bourree fee schedule lists that service at $75/visit. So after coming there for a month and later seeing my credit card bill, I was shocked to see the daily charges significantly in excess of $75. It turned out that on a couple of occasions when Dr Bourree showed me some random leg stretches, he called it "rehab" and added a charge to my appointment. I was shown stretches twice but charged for rehab almost each time I was there! And my insurance was billed for 4-5 codes per appointment even though it should have been just one. I was not once informed what this "rehab" really means and that there is a charge for it. My card was swiped daily and no itemized receipts were given.

That brings me to another shady practice...they insisted on keeping my credit card on file and swiped it for all these serves without ever providing me a detailed receipt! At each visit.
Nevertheless, I paid for ALL treatment AT THE TIME of services, even though I have medical insurance. They convinced me that my insurance will not cover any treatment they provided and therefore I have to pay. I paid close to $1500 in a month time! All out-of-pocket. Then insurance came though after all and reimbursed them a decent amount. When I called back to get a refund (remember, account was paid in full and insurance payment was extra), I got a total run around. I had to work on this for over a week and got a lot of back and forth until they finally refunded PARTIAL amount only. Dishonest and greedy!

Lastly, the chiropractor did not listen to me. I told him multiple times that I do not want my neck adjusted as I felt very dizzy from similar adjustments before. He convinced me that it HAS to be adjusted and he (Dr Bourree) knows all about necks because he studied it way more then other chiropractors. So neck was adjusted. My second to last visit, I felt adjustment go wrong as soon as he did it. Room started to spin and I felt dizzy for hours. I confided to my physician later that day that I do not feel well and was told to come in...my blood pressure spiked and I had a hard time even turning my head to one side. I contacted chiroprator the next morning and he said "yeah, I shouldn't have adjusted your upper neck in reclined position...one of the spines is giving you the symptoms because it is out of alignment and making blood pressure spike". I came back to him and her tried to but that spine back in (in my neck). I left and continued to feel dizzy, blood pressure stayed high for several more days. I finally went back to my MD who insisted I STAY AWAY from this place!

So between aggressive and potentially threatening to your well being neck adjustments AND very shady financial policy, I want to warn you all to stay from this place!

A really good chiropractor is hard to find so I'm so glad to have found Dr. Bourree. He is both an expert in his field and genuinely wants to help his patients.
