I feel fortunate to have been able to use Boston iPhone Repair over the last ten years. They are knowledgeable and friendly. Services are fairly priced and done quickly. I've never worried about them upcharging me or selling me an unnecessary replacement. Maintenance on your devices has never been so easy or stress-free!

My surface pro screen was absolutely smashed, which made the repair a littler trickier for them- but they didnt hesitate to jump in and help! Also, there were different screen sizes per version. I couldnt find what version I had. Instead of turning me away, they ordered both sizes and agreed to return whichever one didnt fit. NO other store would agree to do this.

I messaged Ned through yelp on a Saturday, was quoted and came in on a Monday and had repairs to my back glass and outer facing iPhone XR camera within an hour. I've never had third party iPhone repair done and as far as getting that issue solved they did absolutely that.
But here's the downside, I came in with a working Face ID and left with a non-working Face ID. I was also informed that you can't just replace Face ID on an iPhone since it's linked to each phone for security and thrift purposes (which makes a lot of sense, and to also add, they are incredibly knowledgeable about the ins and outs of iPhone inner workings). I made it approximately three steps out of the door before a notification that my Face ID was disabled due to a problem.
It's just a real bummer that I now have a brand new problem that was not present mere minutes before I walked into the shop. When I brought this up the older gentleman quickly dissembled the front screen again and couldn't find any problems (normally Face ID issues stem from water damage or massive front screen facing issues which I didn't have). He said to come see them again once I got back from a trip I was about to go on and they would take a look at it but still, such a shame it wasn't a perfect visit and now I have a new problem they may or may not be able to fix that might cost me having to get a brand new phone because of it.
They've offered to make it right and I hope they do, because as of now I'd be weary of recommending them outright due to having new problems. I'd love to be able to recommend them for cosmetic fixes at the very least but after my experience I wouldn't feel comfortable.

I’m glad we were able to repair the back of your iPhone and your camera. This same repair would have cost you a little more than $400 at the Apple store. By going through a third party independent repair shop like ours, you saved close to $300 - that’s a win in our book.
I’m sorry to hear your Face ID is not working properly. We don’t normally test this feature before (or after) a back glass repair, as they are two unrelated things. An impact that is strong enough to shatter your back glass can certainly cause other minor internal damage that we’re not able to see with the naked eye. While rare, us taking such an iPhone apart may have exacerbated any issues with the Face ID circuitry.
Face ID is a software feature, tightly controlled by Apple - same goes for Touch ID, true tone, battery health, etc. Pairing and unpairing of these software features is not available to customers or third party shops. It’s not that we don’t want to help with this or don’t know how to - it’s that we’re locked out by Apple! And not only that, even Apple themselves won’t help you. Apple will claim that is not repairable, just the like the back glass of your iPhone. Keep in mind, not only did we fix your back glass, but we did so for a quarter of the price the Apple store charges!
This is a good example of why “right to repair” is important, not just for us as a business, but for you as a consumer. Relying on one multi trillion dollar corporation who will tell you to buy a new device for every minor issue is not good for anyone.
While Face ID is a handy feature, you definitely do not need to replace your phone just because it does not work. You’re simply defaulted to entering your password, which can be shortened to four digits to speed things up.
If Face ID is a must-have feature for you, we carry gently used iPhones that cost less than Apple’s own replacements. If this is something you may be interested in, feel free to reach out. My iphone 12 screen cracked and I had no ability to use any touch function.
Boston iPhone repair was awesome in repair, incredibly responsive, fast, and pleasant to work with.
It was easy to park too, a lot of meter parking on Mass Ave.

My father's old computer had crashed and he needed my help to recover the files from his hard drive. I live in a different city far from my father, and had to rely on a service that is honest and reliable. Fortunately, I found it with Ned from Boston iPhone Repair. I contacted several services, and Ned stood out from the beginning. He was prompt, professional and courteous. He went to my father's place, got the files on an external hard drive, and returned everything back to him promptly. When I went to visit my father, everything was there. My father also remarked just how polite Ned was. I cannot recommend Boston iPhone repair enough. Their prices are reasonable and match with the service they deliver promptly. They deserve every 5 star review they have received!
